  1. I know that the AFM plugs are different. I've just done a Neo swap into an R33 series 1.5 and found that most stuff plugged in. I'd assume that there wouldn't be too much difference. Here's a thought - as long as you've got the s1 parts and they work, just bolt them onto the s2 motor. Therefore you don't have to change much. I ended up retaining my r33 AFM and throttle body because I didn't want to change all my wiring to use the r34 parts.
  2. I haven't seen them anywhere. I think someone here was looking at making their own set?
  3. I opted to go for a 2nd hand Neo engine rather than a rebuild as the cost were so high. by the time you factor labour, machining and parts, 5 to 8k isn't out of the question..
  4. Neos come in manual and auto(tip-tronic)....
  5. Used to be Nollamara, but now it's Hillarys for me.. I had to put the house on the market when I heard Paul and Niz were living round the corner..
  6. I've got the same problem. A bash on the top of the dash seems to fix it and once it's up and running it seems to work fine. I've taken everything apart and couldn't find any loose wires or anything. I'm starting to think it's the actual speedo guage itself? Any info/fixes would be VERY well received!
  7. Try out the suspension section of the forums - there's usually some helpful information round there.
  8. As far as boost levels go - take the advice of the tuner at Hyperdrive - I hear he's tuned a few..
  9. Baz - I disagree. You should be able to find a complete Neo for under 3k. Compare that to a r33 rb25 with twice as many kms that may need a rebuild in the near future and the choice is easy.. Go the Neo!
  10. Big difference. Loss of low end power. Try it out by unplugging the VCT solenoid plug. It's just above where the top radiator hose goes in. That said - I haven't seen what an aftermarket inlet cam gear does. It might be all good. All I can add is that I did the exhaust gear and it helped bring boost on a little earlier.
  11. If you can find a Neo get it - I've put one in my 33 and it was quite easy to fit. Though a 33 rb25 is still going to be a good increase over the rb20.
  12. Sure is. I've been running around on 0.7bar and the map in the Mines R33 ecu for a while now. Got the VVT connected and it made a huge difference on low down power. Runs very very smoothly. Just need to get time to install the new fuel pump, do an oil and plug change and take it for a run on the dyno.
  13. I've lost one too - couldn't find a place who would sell me any. If you do - please post it up.
  14. Also got over 1000 hi-res shots. Will post some links to selected pics once I've sorted them.
  15. Ken - Wells Glover was one of my chicane stages. Standing on the outside of the corner at the 200m board is a silly thing to do, but the cars looked fantastic heading towards you at 180+! And yea - it never happened. I'm not a good judge of speed and we definitely didn't watch from the outside of any corners..
  16. all 4 wheel sensors? what's this fellow on about? you might need wheel speed sensors for the traction control butterfly if you want to use it, but you can easily replace the whole throttle body on the neo for something else that doesn't use it - our just don't connect it..
  17. Kicking this event of this afternoon. Formal opening is at Forrest Place in Perth tomorrow morning from 7am to 9am. Check out the attached maps for stage details and go along and have a look if you can. image_9080900_0001.pdf
  18. Still cheaper than UK and Europe.. I was paying over a quid a liter ($2.39739 /L AUD) for diesel over there - and that was cheaper than petrol. Anyone think about the wicked GST bonus the govt is getting from these price increases? When fuel was $1.20/L they would have been getting about 12c/L. Now it's $1.50/L they'll be getting 15c/L. Doesn't sound like much but think that they haven't had to put any effort into this tax increase. Then think why they aren't going to do much about the price increase. Also think that you're actually paying GST on state govt levies. Now get angry.... /rant
  19. Hi guys - just an update on Targa West - the official course cars are going to be skylines! Should be a great event with over 60 cars entered. Try to get out and support it if you can. Update_9_02.09.05.pdf
  20. Completely agreed. Attitude is the main cause in most of the driving frustrations we see around. Unfortunately in my experience the bad attitudes come from those who should be setting the example - the older drivers.
  21. $50 and pickup and it's yours.
  22. Got a spare stock one floating around. Let me know what you think it's worth.
  23. Agreed! I loved the motorways around Europe. You could cover a huge amount of of distance in a day.. record was from the top end of Slovenia to halfway down the Croatian coast inside of 6 hours.. No way you could cover half that didstance quickly in this country..
  24. Drive anywhere else in the worlds and you will be able to say with much conviction - WA people ARE shit drivers Though most of them are aged between 40 and 55 and drive company cars..
