  1. Oh thats nice however i cant really sell my FMIC cause my car was in an accident and the FMIC is a bit beat up. mainly the piping. So wouldnt be able to sell i dont recon. Hrmm $550 for that kit. Seems ok. But i could always just go back to stock cooler. Im only running an exhaust and 12 psi. Not other mods. Thoughts
  2. Hi, Currently have an R33 with a FMIC cooling pro kit from justjap. I am currently using the normal piping kit that it comes with (where you have to cut the whole) but i met a guy and was speaking to him about his R33 and his piping for the FMIC. Basically i told him how i wanted to get rid of the cut whole, and run a pipe back underneath the cooler back to the stock piping (like the Blitz - LM kits). He then told me that you dont need to do that, instead he got a custom pipe made up that runs underneath the abd through the bar and up from the buttom of the engine. It then comes up back to the pipe that sits over you fan. I asked him who did it for him and he said a joint in dandenong but i cant remember for the life of me what the place was called. And his number has changed so i cant get ahold of him >< Attach is an Example of what im talking about (excuse the crappy diagram) Does anyone run a similar setup? Does anyone have an idea who this joint in dandy would be (i no theres a few) Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
  3. should i keep the pipe diameter at 3" all the way round...or should i make the underpace part smaller...2.5" what do you guys think?
  4. the air still has to travel on a 180 degree road to get to the core tho doesn't it would this have a big impact?!!!!!! Ohh NOES!!
  5. Thanks the sketch isn't to scale the 180 bend wont be so harsh as there needs to be room for the pipe to drop when it runs under the cooler. I can't run the pipe behind the cooler as there wont be room....other than that i dont no how to loosen up or extend the 180 bend....im really just copying the blitz LM piping, except my 180 bend will be situated on the pipe were as the blitz setup is on the core itself (see image)
  6. hi guys, I have a r33 gts-t and have a FMIC kit from justjap I have a mate that works in the fabrication area and he said he'll help me out with making a custom intercooler pipe that runs under the cooler and back to the stock pipes like the blitz LM cooler. My question is (refer to image) where the arrow is, along the straight part of the pipe that runs from each bend (left to right) could i make that section of pipe 2 or 2.5 inches and then leave rest of the piping 3 inches? This will allow more clearance under the pipe from the ground. Or would this restrict flow and cause issues? thanks in advance
  7. ye i might just draw something up with measurements etc....and give him a pic... thanks guys
  8. i dont think he wanted the hassle of having the car there... dunno i sha'll ask him...it would be better wouldnt it.
  9. hi guys, Im getting my mate to make me a FMIC pipe. He makes custom chopper exhausts so its kinda his thing. He said he'll make me one no probs but i need to either A) give him one he can copy B) make him a template he can copy... Question is, what can i use as a template that will be about 2-3inches wide, easy to bend, and hold the shape? All help appreciated.... Thanks
  10. i wouldn't imagine it to me more than a day or 2....i would clarrify this before lending it off anyone. also would clarrify that when he copies the pipe, he wouldnt damage, mark or didnt the original. If he couldnt garantee this 100% i wouldnt borrow it from anyone. thanks
  11. Hi guys, My mate works in the metal industry and he makes up metal pipes all days long as his job. Making custom chopper exhaust etc.... Basically i want him to make me a pipe that runs under my FMIC and back to the stock return pipes..Like the ones that the Blitz LM kits use....he said "no worries" but i need to give him a pipe that he can follow / copy......or a template of some sort. My question is (which is a long shot) who has one laying around, or one that i could borrow. Just need the pipe that runs under the cooler back to the stock piping (not the whole kit) Im in SE - Melbourne. Its for a r33 Thanks
  12. Just grab the one from Justjap.... there cheap as chips brand new
  13. thought u sold ur car...i havent seen it around....or have u moved house? lol do you still drive it or is locked away somewhere?
  14. series 1 r33 here and i installed a JJR intercooler kit...didnt have to trim the fan blade and it doesn hit either...even underload i believe the s2 is the same deal...although some people say that it hit, some say it didnt. If it doesnt have clearance you can always gently notch in a small dint in the underneath of the piping with a peice of wood to make it clear....someone i know did that and it clears now and no need for fan triming
  15. yes...that has made my decision easier ....i think ill get the V1's thanks
  16. Ye na i no wat to expect with cheap tyres... i found a mob that have a special on the Maxxis V1's for 199 each. Seems decent as they retail usually about the 260 mark Also the guy said he would deal me up and give me the Maxxis Z1 (the ones from wheels mag) for 260 each, which is good also considering they retail for about 340+ and they came third to dunlop and goodyear (which are 400+ tyres) Im thinking i might just go with the V1's for 199 as they will be bang for buck and i can get them for a little over a set of shit falcons will cost me. Although im half tempted to just get the Z1's
  17. Yes im aware that the Falkens 326 are craptastic....however the car is only traveling about 5km MAX a day atm and will be for the next year.
  18. hi guys, I currently have Falkens 326 (235/40/18) fitted to my skyline and i was just gonna get them replaced with the same tyre. i found a mob that have them on sale for 150$ a tire (for the Falkens 326) but then the guy said they have these Durun tyres that are slightly cheaper, and he recons they are better then the Falkens. Has anyone heard/used Durun tyres before? Also what other tyres can i put on my r33 gts-t. My budget is 200 a tyre MAX, wouldnt wanna go any higher than that. Whats the best i can get for that price in terms of over all performance of grip, quality and endurance. Ive gotten qoutes on bridgeston and goodyear and ppl want like 300+ a tyre :S All help appreciated.
  19. Mate is selling his series 1 r33 manual gts-t for 11k with RWC 10k without Its in perfect condition as his a car freak and has looked after it with extreme passion give him a yell heres the link... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t182480.html
  20. yes there is a loophole... i found this out after applying for an excemption for work use in work times/hours. Vic roads stated there is no excemption for the law for "power to wieght" however if you got your P's before july 1, then there is a "legislation act" by vic roads that states that if you can prove that you are driving the car for work purposes, and you can prove this to the officers that pull you over, then you can walk away free. This may include a phone call on the spot to ur boss, or a letter from your boss along with the "legislation act" letter that i recieved from vic roads. However as a P-plater and in a position where i cant loose 1 point for 1 year (on that point bond), i dont feel im in a position to take that risk. At the end of the day it depends who pulls you up and whether the cop is in a bad mood or not...Even if i were to get booked, i could legally contest it in court but thats just a hassle that i cant be bothered dealing with... Instead my car travels 1km a day with my dad to his work and back and i drive his car to work which is about a 40 min drive for me....Im lucky that my dad did a swap with me until im off my P's Its just how much risk you want / can take and what position your in really...
  21. That is correct. If you got ur P's before July 1st...then you can drive any turbo charged car, as long as its not over the 125kw per ton P/W law. Unfortunetly 33 and 34 gts-t / gt-t fall over the limit. Thus making it illegal to drive these cars even if you got your license before July 1st. They didnt "change" the law or implement a new law for people that had there license before July 1st, its always been the law. They have just added 3 points and upped the fine everytime you get picked up. I am a victim of this as i own a 33 gts-t and i cant drive my car
  22. if your a P -Plater and u loose more than 5 points in 12 months u get the option to loose ur license for 3 months or stay on a 12 month probation with no points and be good (and if u loose 1 or more points during that 12 month period u loose it for 6 months) If your not a P-plater i think the same applies.....more than 12 points in 3 years and your on the same probation....break the probation same punishment applies unless of course you are already on that "no point" probation when u lost the points this time round....which means ull loose it for 6 months Wait for the letter...see wat your options are
  23. Hi Guys, Prob posting in the wrong area but im just after a price check on something if you can help -A set of Manaro front springs, shockers and all the rest of the kit. All peices etc for the front end suspension to be done. Came off a Manaro as they were replaced with lower springs so its stock manaro stuff Any help would be much appreciated PS i tried looking on ebay. 24. what kind of boost would u have to be running before this pipe would suck close? or does it do it no matter what? trying to work out whether it would be benificial to do it on my car... Cheers
  25. Hi guys, firstly ill start by explaining my set up. It a r33 gts-t pritty much stock except 3" turbo back exhaust, stock air filter, FMIC, bleed valve. (runs 10~11psi) i had my car tuned (not dyno'd) about 6-8months ago but at the time of the tune i had only the exhaust, boost valve, and an aftermarket pod filter on. Since then i have put on the FMIC and when i put the FMIC on the boost shot up (as it would) so i downed it back to 10~11. also too, when i put the FMIC on i chucked the original filter box back on. Now i noticed some pinging, i firstly suspected it was the fuel i am using, i usualy run it with mobile 8000 (98r). but this week i chucked the standard mobile unleaded fuel in it instead. Now im going to wait till my tanks empty and then put 8000 back in it and see if it pings still. but my question is, if it still pings, would it be possible it is the tune i have on the car as it doesnt suit/match with the current stuff i have on my car (as it was previously tuned without FMIC and a pod on it) Will i be able to get this pinging out with a dyno tune if it doesnt appear to make a difference with the fuel change? Thanks guys
