hi guy i have a r33 gts-t. Ive had it boosted previously with a valve and it was set to 12psi (with stock cooler) After the FMIC went in, i figured id be able to just wack the boost controller back in and it would sit at 12 like old times...How ever it seemed to just be running stock boost...so i adjust and adjusted till i got it back to where i wanted it. So its now at 11-12~ish. Is it normal it did this? cause i had to wind the boost controller HEAPS to get it back up to 11-12. Is this due to the persure loss, or is my boost controller stuffed or something? No real dramas, just dont wanna hit boost then see my guage to 7+ 7+ 7+ 7+ if it is my controller lol Thanks in advanced

hi guys i need to make up a pipe bend that will run from my stock intercooler pipe to the far side of the core of my cooler. Like the blitz cooler kits, where the pipe runs back under the core to stock pipes. However i need to make up a template of the bend that will run from the stock pipe to underneath the core (only need to make the part that bends from the stock coolerpipe to under the core) to give to my metal man that will make this custom pipe for me. His a mate and rather him having the car, he would prefer me to make the template up first, so then he just has to make the pipe from the real thing. i was going to use that flexi pipe stuff, i think that will do the trick as i dont need to do any hardcore bends, and there more curves rather then bends. However i thought id ask the experts for advice, so if there is something better i can use let me no. im open for suggestions Cheers

ok cool getting the pipe made up isnt a problem as my family friend works in that kind of industry. but just that someone said that it wouldnt work cause the distance....i didnt see how that made sence as the other pipe that requires the hole cut out is still a pritty long pipe. just needed clarrification that doing this would work cheers guys

have seen in other posts and read up about it and have seen kits for r33s where all the piping runs back to the original factory piping. This includes the far side drivers side pipe where u usually have to cut a hole in the enginebay to feed the pipe through. after seeing kits that dont require you to do that, and have the far pipe run "under" the cooler back to the passanger side factory pipe, i became interested in getting one of those pipes made up for me. but after speaking to someone , they suggested that it wouldnt work cause something to do with "the pipe is to long for the pressure to go through". Does anyone know if this will work, or there is some restrictions in doing this? i mean there is kits out there that sell this "custom" type piping as part of the kit....so it must work...right? so my question really is, will running the drivers side intercool pipe back under the cooler back to factory pipes work? cheers

done like 110k its not coming from the front of the engine. it sounds like the sound is coming from infront of the glove box ,engine pay side (not inside the car ) thats why i suspected my POD was rattling against my guard...but it wasnt that the sound comes and goes fairly quick its only when the car struggles on low revs dunno what the hell it is, and its not like i can pop the hood and look in when it makes the noise cause it only happens when moving, does happen on idle or when reving the car in N.

was just concerned cause it comes from the same area as where the turbo is located. It sounds like a vibration like something is vibrating against something else. it wierd cause it goes away after about 1.5-2k revs. Strange

hi guys had this rattle for a while now but now its really getting on my nerves when in low revs and in any gear, there is a real "fuzzy/buzzy" type of rattle on the passanger front seat side, sounds like its coming from infront of the glove box. At first i thought it was the pod rattleing against the guard but then i padded the pod up and it still happened so i eliminated that out of the factor. the sound only happens when driving in low revs in any gear and once u pick up some revs, the sound dissapears. i thought maybe a gasket? sounds like its coming from somewhere around the turbo has anyone heard of this as a common problem or have any suggestions on what it could be cheers

had a similar problem...every time i hit boost the pipe would swoosh off.... then i took the pipe right off and relized that i left the WD-40 on the end of the pipe that i used to put it on with in the first place....once i cleaned it all off the thing has never flung off since....dont laugh it was a blonde moment

wasnt sucking up, was just expecting some sort of answer and he gave me one which is fine. but i feel kinda let down ohh well ill call the cops see wat they have to say to me PS . does anyone here no if your meant to loose points if you get picked up driving a car that exceeds 125kw per tonne? has it happened to any one you know? i got picked up , fine but no points cheers

hrmm it says this "The new high powered vehicle restriction for P drivers will start in July 2007. What is the new restriction on high powered vehicles? The restriction will prevent probationary drivers from driving vehicles with: engines with eight or more cylinders turbocharged or supercharged engines nominated high performance six cylinder engines engines that have been modified to increase the vehicle’s performance. Offences will attract a fine and three demerit points. 3 demerit points? i have been picked up once b4 and only got a fine, are you suppose to get point deducted aswell or is this part of the "new" law that will apply in 2008? if its only part of the new law, the document says that people under the old P plater law wont see the effects of this P1 and P2 law

apparently in June some new law is coming in that P platers driving cars that are over the power to wieght ratio (EG: r33 gts-t) can get fined, like they can now, but also run the risk of getting the car taken off you if it happens more than once. a guy from work told me this, i said its always been illegal for us P platers to drive gts-t r33 skylines and we always run a risk of getting fines, but he seems to think they actually CAN and are going to have the power to take the car from the owner if it happens more than once, and also insurance companies are going to stop giving P platers insurance if they drive cars that exceed the power to weight ratio....i dont see why they would do this now but could anyone clarrify if this is true or the guy at my work is just retarded.... has anyone heard or seen anything like this in the paper or on the news? cheers

is it all over the car and consistant...if only in certain areas maybe somethin has landed upon ur car like a chemical or something...or maybe some1 has sprayed ur car with something nasty dunno wat else it could be, if it was polish is should be polished back of for "good" once u re-polish the car, only thing else i could think of is maybe after a polish u missed certains spots...left it in the sun and the polish has so to speak "baked" itself onto ur paint , then once u polish it off, the new polish shins it over until its fully come off/sprayed off with water

if u go for a just jap intercooler kit, i have to trim the little rubber knob on the aircon fan....as for triming the fan blades, is something i did not have to do...as i mate a bracket out of scrap metal so the pipe would clear the blades, even undo hi enine load, still cleared...was happy i didnt have to bash the pipe in or cut blades....just jap coolers are decent enough, expesially if your aiming for 300rwkw, many years down the track cheers

take out your ash tray...cut a piece of thin wood\plastic, spray black or wateva u need to do to make it nice.....and mount guage in there looks clean, good fit and u use up space that you would only use if u smoke....which i would hope u wouldnt smoke in ur nice skyline but ye thats where mine is cheers

his guys i no this has been bought up on heaps of post and i have actually searched and from wat ive found, to do a series 2 front end conversion on a series 1 you need the following: -series 2 front bar -series 2 re-bar -series 2 headlights -series 2 grill -series 2 bonnet Just want to no if there is anyone out there that has actually done the full conversion and can clarrify with me that it is correct... also to i read that the guards on a series 1 are the same as the guards on a series 2 thus for you dont need to change the guards for the conversion? is this the case? how does fitment go....EG: will a series 2 bonnet fit in just like a series 1 bonnet will, in terms of bolt holes etc... just want to know cause ive had an accident and i need to get a new bonnet, headlights, grill and bar.... and i like s2 look so if i can get my panel beater to order s2 stuff.....why not!!! thanks
