  1. Is there any way to tell which compound the tyres are by a marking or similar?
  2. That's not a GTR... Its a GTS-T with a GTR badge! And the guy doesnt know how to wave... The only response I've ever gotten from him is: HUH?
  3. Cool there you go! I'm just going from a hazy memory as you can probably tell
  4. Yeah the ones I got are fairly good. They've got about 6-7mm tread and are in OK condition.. I got them for $50 each (Kumho Ecsta V700 205/45/16).
  5. Thanks mate, i'll give them a call!
  6. Gordon Leven - 02 4735 4500 Make sure to ask for their motorsport tyres people as they're a separate division to the regular tyre people by the sound of it Try Garry's Motorsport tyres for 2nd hand stuff too. Im pretty sure I heard him say that he had some used 15" ones left over when I was at EC yesterday.
  7. Yeah good luck.. I've been trying Gordon Leven for aages.. Looking initially for 17", but then 16"... Some people must luck out with them, but by no means do they have consistent stock so I could never get some. I went out to see if there was any left over from the meet at Eastern Creek yesterday, but someone came through and bought up most of the usable ones on Saturday arvo Call this guy: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...576&hl=semi I bought some 16" semi's off him yesterday. He might have what you're after. Nice guy too!
  8. Spotted HUH-000 again today in West Pennant hills (White R33).. I finally figured out what the number plates mean!! When you flash your lights or wave at the guy, he goes "HUH??" and stares at you blankly!! It's another GTR Badge wearing GTS-T too Someone should start a hall of shame spotted thread!!
  9. I was wondering if anyone has had an alloy wheel repaired before, and what the price and service was like from the place you got it done. The crack is similar to the one pictured. I've been quoted $120 to fix the rim. Does this sound right? Can anyone suggest a good place to get this done? Cheers
  10. The cops would not even bother... They've got better stuff to worry about - ie. who's buying the next round of doughnuts! but on serious note, it takes a sick f**k not to stop after hitting an animal (of domestic kind anyway!)
  11. Hot4's had a helpful tech tip!? What the? lol sounds good, i might give this a go!
  12. Thanks for some great ideas guys! Tomorrow i'm gonna pull the core off and give it a clean. I'm going to start with alloy wheel cleaner, and if that doesnt work, i'll try degreaser. I'm going to use a high pressure hose to blast the residue off (from a distance obviously!). For the inside, I've heard that a 50/50 mix of metho and turps is the go! Ill give it a go and let you know!
  13. My intercooler has developed an unhealthy brown colour after dealing with years of exhaust smoke and crap like this. I wanted to clean it, but the fins are quite brittle so i cant really use any contact on it. I was thinking of using alloy wheel cleaner on it. Can anyone think of any reason why I shouldnt do this? eg. damaging the intercooler or something? Has anyone tried it before?
  14. you wanna do some contracting work? I deal with this kinda shit all day and I still dont have a clue what that guy was on about! you could make some extra dosh as an interpreter for noobs!
  15. naw... you think!? lol
  16. Welcome to Skylines Australia You will find that when you transfer the post to the top of page, the marker for new posts is reset to the bottom of the page. When the markers reach half way up the page the new post is then added to the bottom. If the amount of letters you have typed exceeds 100, then the the post is automatically moved to the latest section, usually corresponding to the time of day, but only on weekends. During the week - your post is automatically updated in whatever location your post is finished from.. That should make it a bit clearer!
  17. ^^ correct
  18. i dont know if someone has mentioned it, but making sure your RCA's are running NOWHERE NEAR your power wires for amps and alike is vital. The best way is to run them down opposite sides of the car. Good quality RCA cables reduce alternator whine too as they're generally better shielded.
  19. It must have racing stripes Nah you can get the CAMS approved ones from Repco for about $30.. They actually say "CAMS approved" or something similar on the box (Quell/Chubb brand I think?). The requirements are that it's charged, has a metal bracket, is accessible from the drivers seat, and at least 1kg i think? Consider getting a larger one if you can (1.5kg?). I had to use mine very briefly on the way back from the last wakefield day, and a 0.25 second squirt sent it well into the red (ie. needs to be recharged). It will be worth the extra $$ if you need to use it
  20. Yeah C'mon all you people dropping out!! Its a rare opportunity to have a joint cruise with our Supra brethren. It'll be a sight to see!
  21. Another care bear avatar!? Ahhh!!!
