  1. Yeah that's what I was thinking. For $99 it's relatively cheap too!
  2. JustJap are selling these quick release steering wheel hubs: http://www.justjap.com/parts_ninterior.htm I've been told by them that they make the steering wheel stick out further from the dash about 60mm. Does anyone who has one of these (or something similar) find it annoying that the steering wheel sits this far out?
  3. I tried to beep, but my horn button is playing up! _____ Spotted a grey R34 GTT with a Nismo(?) kit last night parked beside me at Cherrybrook shops.
  4. is it possible to get an updated list of who's currently booked Adam?
  5. I've currently got no BOV at all (blocked off the hole in the intake), I can still hear the psshht and then flutter. Is the sound of the air 'blowing off' just the rush of air coming back out the pod?
  6. Absolutely, I can see where you're coming from. In my mind though, the $2500 odd per year is a 'running cost' for my vehicle. I wouldnt even consider not insuring it! I've been burnt before by writing off a Supra while DUI. It really sucks having an insurance company tell you where to go when you try to claim the cost of the car back. I couldn't go through losing another baby + the money spent on it!! I just hope that those guys that dont have full comp, and are being 'careful' are very lucky too. There is tooo many asshole theives out there...
  7. Cool, glad to hear you got it sorted.
  8. Spotted 2GU UP in the show and shine @ Eastern creek yesterday for the Drifting.. Spotted about a million other lines and other Jap cars out there as well.. waay too many to spot!
  9. Im sure that if you approached the right person, they would be able to get anything printed at the right price. Although, you have to be clear about many copies you want, and on what sort of paper (eg. photo paper)
  10. He can... but you need to book a few hundred years in advance Oh.. IN BTW
  11. That's usually the sign of a crap restaurant if there is no-one eating there!! Sorry I couldnt make it last night guys, I didnt get out of work until 8pm Hope you all had a good night.
  12. I agree with both sides of the 'argument' here in the fact that I believe that forums are the most effective internet based means of publishing reviews and experiences of businesses to people who are interested in hearing them. On the other hand, I can see where SAU -might- stand in wanting to keep this type of thing to a minimum, simply for the fact that this guy could just be from a rival tyre company trying to bash the competition. The other parties involved in this don't have a voice, so that's a cause for concern. I do feel though, if people cant talk about it here, where can they talk about it?
  13. it looks more similar to the trust bar too! meh, still looks good!
  14. Ahh Happy Bday Wil!!! Just saw this thread in time! Only just over 1 hour of birthday left. If you've got any favours to call in, do it now!! You cant deny someone something on their birthday! Hope you had a good day mate
  15. Sweet that sounds like them. Cheers Michael!
  16. Just what I was looking for!! as the thread says - SK you are a legend! Cheers!
  17. Im not sure just yet, but i'm getting my suspension tuned next week and I was just wondering if I should tell them to wind as much castor in as possible. I've got two adjustable green bars in the front suspension which look like they control castor adjustment. They hang underneath all of the other components. Would that be right?
  18. Is there a negative side to running a huge amount of positive castor?
  19. I've searched and searched for the answer to this question, but the best result I've found is one of SK's many valuable recommendations of 'track' settings. Obviously these arent necessarily optimal for the street. Could I get some opinions on what the best camber/castor/toe settings could be for the street? My own preference would be towards: - Even tyre wear - Stability - Turn in speed Any advice would be appreciated!
  20. The only two people I know who have one have both had to send theirs back with power supply problems... Dodgey...
  21. Hmmm i've heard that the service is crap even with diversity antennas. Most people say it's impossible to watch while the car is moving (for passengers etc) and it's static-y when stopped unless parked next door the the TV station!! The only decent setups use a boomerang style boot antenna... If anything, you want a four-way diversity antenna, but make sure that the TV you buy has got the right inputs for the antennas!!! Most diversity antennas have 3.5mm headphone type jacks and the In dash tv's ive seen have got a mini coaxial FM radio antenna type inputs - ie. Different!!.. Just make sure you do your research first cos you will end up wasting money on expensive antennas that dont work!
  22. you have to bleed the air out of the power steering system. I understand you can do this by removing the resevoir cap, and turning the steering wheel back and forth for 10 full cycles slowly (with the front wheels off the ground)... Then do it quickly back and forth about 10 times. Then slowly again. You should see air bubbling out through the fluid. There may be a better/easier way to do this, but I used this method until there was no more air coming out and it was sweet after that... Make sure you keep the resevoir topped up as you're doing this so as not to suck more air back into the system..
