My car has a very lumpy idle. At 700-900rpm the rocks around and the idle just feels lumpy. Someone pointed to the fact that this may be a symptom of aftermarket cams. Does anyone know of a way to check to see if my RB25 has got aftermarket cams? The car came with lots of other goodies on it, so I wouldn't be too surprised if they were non standard items.

Wheels are kind of important to keep a vehicle moving!! Snapping a wheel mid-corner can lead to huge accidents and possibly death!! How many track only cars have got a Veilside body kit, Full interior, and NSW rego? It's obviously a road car.. This forum is a great place for people to be able to learn from other people's mistakes. It's up to the person reading it to make their decision. Obviously you know much more than the people who have witnessed it first hand to be able to make those ^ sort of recommendations to other people...

You're right... but who can blame the guy for being ignorant and not realising that the wheels are dangerous for use on high powered cars. All he wants is to buy a good looking set of rims for the cheapest possible. People do this kind of stuff every day until they've had the reasons for not buying cheap shit explained to them... The skills listed in these positions are relatively remedial stuff, especially for a graduate.. You wont get too much more than 50k for support stuff (L1 or L2 - Desktop). You want to start looking at Networks (engineering), Linux/Unix, SAP, programming, management (good luck till you're older than 30) etc to find the larger money. So many kids coming out of school thinking they know how the IT industry works cos they've played with a PC all they're lives and expect to earn $100k by the time they are 25 cos they are in the "IT Industry"

I had a friend of mine who had a supercharged corolla have one of his rear wheels snap off while flying up Galston Gorge near Sydney. Because of this he nearly took out a guy on a motorbike who certainly would have been killed. He's lucky he didnt kill himself! Dont skimp on wheels if you're gonna use them for going hard... street wheels... meh maybe yeah ok..

Yeah they felt incredibly quick with acceleration. That could also have had something to do with the fact that my road wheels and tyres are 24kg per corner... The semi's and their rims are only 10kg per corner! lol I will have to change gears at lower speeds which worries me a bit more though

I've got my hands on some semi slick tyres and I've realised that they are too small! They are 205/45/16. The previous tyres were 205/55/16. They look very small on the skyline!! I'd have to adjust the centre of wheel to guard height because obviously it's a fair bit out with the smaller tyres! Just wondering - is this going to cause any major issues with handling, speed or dynamics of the car?
