  1. Pretty sure they could pull this dent out.. Might cost a bit more though Sorry ...
  2. Congrats dude!
  3. Yikes... so you plan on getting to Bondi before sunrise? George St is seriously f*cked at that time of night
  4. Dont tell me that... Haha... Doh!
  5. Fair enough. I guess I'm going to have bigger problems elsewhere if the exhaust temp gets high enough to trigger the warning light anyway! hehe Thanks for the response mate
  6. Thanks for the reply Nismoid. Instead of doing a dodgey job, i traced the sensor cable back into the cabin, and found where it changed from steel braided to norml electrical wire. I just extended the electrical wire, and bingo - enough room to hook it up. The problem with leaving it out would have been the hole in the side of the cat... That could have been easily plugged with a bolt though. Any thoughts on the direction of the cat being an issue?
  7. Ok... I see now why they installed it the wrong way around. Basically with the cat around the proper way, the temp sensor wont reach the opening on the cat that its supposed to go into! Dammit! I'm kind of stuck here unless I can find a way to extend the sensor wire (steel braided line which runs into the floor)... Would it matter if I left the temp sensor disconnected? Is it just for warning purposes or does it serve another purpose?
  8. The monkeys who installed my Catco High Flow cat have installed it in reverse!! There is a giant arrow with "In, Out" printed across the cat as well... Morons! Does this have a damaging effect on the cat, or is this ok? I'm obviously going to flip it around the right way now, but would the cat have been damaged from running in reverse? I've noticed a LOT of unburnt fuel coming out my exhaust since i bought the car, but i thought this was normal with high flow cats! Admittedly im running a rich/safe tune though.. Would turning it around make a massive difference, or is it just advisory that you install it in a certain direction? Thanks guys!
  9. I'm coming from Castle Hill through Hornsby...
  10. Jeebuz.. There's no way mine will pass an emissions test! You can sometimes physically see the fuel pouring out of the exhaust on idle! haha... retune here we come!
  11. Well good thing one of us got out there! You heading out for the Wakefield track day on australia day?
  12. D'oh! So it was still on!!?? Grr Great time anyway mate! Well done!
  13. Yeah thats been mentioned at least once already. Thanks for your input. Notice I listed reasons FOR buying the alarms, not against
  14. Hey Sam, I was going to head out tonight as well if it weren't for that rain! That was me on Pennant Hills Rd today if you didnt realise!
  15. Spotted JDM-33R on pennant hills rd at about 11:30am.. Gave a wave and got one back
  16. yeah I've got a Viper 791. I've found it to be great. I had my installer put in an extra two immobiliser points, plus a remote kill switch... I dont know how helpful this will be for insurance purposes, although its bound to slow the pros down for at least another 30 seconds! The remote start feature is the best thing about it for me.. The amount of damage I'm saving on the engine is not calculable, but surely good in the long run. That marketing campaign a few years back for an oil company said that a majority of engine damage is done when the engine is cold. Anyway thats just a perk. If I had my choice again, I'd have a very difficult decision - although I'd probably end up with the M80 for security purposes. People cant say that their Viper alarm is great because their car hasnt been stolen! It's not until you lose your car that you will change your mind! haha The remote start and auto window winding is awesome, although window winding can be implemented into most alarms i think? Conclusion: Buy the Viper for - Remote start, Flashy remote, 2 Way paging (only if its parked in your garage or within a few hundred metres- sif you aint gonna hear the exhaust anyway!!), engine saving ability if you religiously use the remote start to warm your engine Buy the M80 for - Security - Black Wiring = harder to steal, Insurance approved (check the viper with your insurance company tho), possibly cheaper, easier to find replacement parts
