  1. Hahaha... this is exactly how i've been scaring unsuspecting pedestrians Thanks Mike, great info! I'll give this a try
  2. Spotted a few lines around deewhy beach yesterday. A white N/A R33 parked on the south end of the beach. A silver R34 GT-T prowling through the carpark on the North end of the beach... Also cruised from the city all the way back to the Pennant Hills M2 exit with a white R33 GTS-T with black wheels.. AZA-07X or similar.. Got a flash and a wave.
  3. Technically correct, thanks. How many people would know what afterfire is though?
  4. It's always the 32 owners starting this stupid debate. Why is this? Envy?
  5. Yeah good to see ya man. It was a good drive last night except for the turtle crawling down McCarrs Creek Road!
  6. Ahh cool.. no wonder I missed ya My eyes are only tuned for spotting imports lately..
  7. I'm not running any BOV - I've blocked the inlet.
  8. Awesome.. I've got a few things to check now, thanks for the suggestions everyone. I'll post the result once I've sussed out the issue. Thanks Vic, i'll try that one first
  9. Thanks Michael, This sounds correct.I'm running a PFC so it mustn't be tuned properly? How exactly to you lean out mixtures when throttle is dropped off? This isnt really possible with PFC is it? Its sounds right though... it just a hot exhaust and too much fuel.. Great for scaring pedestrians tho
  10. best option FTW - Get a lidar jammer, when the unit gos off its head due to a laser signal, slow down to the speed limit, and the TURN THE UNIT OFF. This allows the cops to get a reading, so he just assumes it was a glitch in his device... if you get caught in NSW though its 9 Points (!!!!!!) and a hefty fine... they take it seriously here... but they've got to prove it.... A smartly concealed lidar jammer is possible...
  11. Happy birthday mate. You're an asset to the SAU community with your PFC knowledge Hope you had a good one.
  12. four hundred million.... and one. shame you missed it... four hundred million cars is certainly a sight to see... I didnt go on the cruise obviously, wish i did tho... ah well.
  13. yep... i had the same problem... it turned out to be the exhaust gasket... Get it checked out. I think you've had enough suggestions on the source of the noise to at least get the exhaust gasket checked out.
  14. Sorry to ask the obvious, but have you checked power steering fluid?
  15. Go for the dish...it takes a seriously special car to pull off the other look. Dish makes even the most mild car look tough
  16. This doesnt sound good... Instead of starting a new thread - Does anyone know how to suppress backfiring? Is it just a matter of tuning or is it usually something more sinister - eg cat?
  17. Dammit... so pissed i couldnt come to this.. Looks like you had a great night. I hope you showed the VIC guys a good night - hopefully they'lll come to visit again! They might bring some competition next time *runs*
  18. Thread ressurection is a skill.. some people got it..
  19. R34 GT-T + GTR Body + GTR Badge = Death by firing squad R34 GT-T + GTR Body = Meh... its an RB25 FFS!
  20. I've had the car just over a year, and its been lumpy since I bought it. I've had the PFC tuned a couple of times so if there was something wrong (ie. vacuum leak) i think they guys would have picked it up.. It came with: Apexi Turbo Injectors PowerFC Fuel Pump etc etc.. I suspect that its got cams due to the chunky mid-range. If I have a look at the cams, is there any way to tell if they are std or aftermarket?
  21. My car has a cat but i think its screwed.. It rattles when i shake it
  22. Nah I havent checked this, but i do notice that at idle my car seems to burn a lot of fuel (black smoke out the exhaust). I was poking around the engine bay this morning, and didnt notice anything out of place or loose - including the hoses/pipes...
  23. Hey! What car were you in? I remember seeing an S15 going the other way when I came out..?
  24. My car backfires relatively often when backing off the throttle, especially on warm days. Does this do damage to any components? I imagine that it cant be too good for the cat, what about the exhaust side of the turbo?
