  1. bummer.. ok well i'll just have to put up with the black crud then cheers!
  2. Just wondering if someone could possibly answer my question: Would a properly installed catch can reduce the amount of 'black crap' spat out the exhaust? (ie. the stuff that accumulates on your rear bar), or is this simply just the exhausts job? I was thinking that maybe if less oil vapour reached the engine, maybe it would reduces the amount shot out the exhaust?
  3. Hey could you please confirm that you've received my second payment of $100? It should have had the reference: "Jon Bates".. Im not sure though because I wasnt the one who made the payment. Cheers..
  4. Cheers Steve!
  5. Yesterday after lunch... might clear tonight
  6. I made a second payment of $100 for the 2 extra people. The payment reference is "Jon Bates". Could you please check its there? Cheers
  7. Count yourselves lucky.. In NSW the penalty is $1175 and 9 demerit points on your licence for having a radar detector!
  8. The system I'm running has the best of both worlds. Due to the double DIN of the skylines (thankyou nissan ) You can have an in dash motorised screen, AND your normal headunit. You just run the audio output of your PC to your AUX port on your headunit, so you can play CD's in your normal headunit, or switch to AUX for your carputer I'm going to be installing a slimline DVD drive in my glovebox for easy ripping/DVD playing too, cos currently my DVD drive is inside my laptop (under the drivers seat) so not really accessible obviously!
  9. Ok guys I'm going to wrap this up and place an order. Please contact me by the end of today if you want one. - Jon
  10. Do you know what brand/condition they are in?
  11. Cool, thanks for the info guys! I'll give them a ring. I'll be calling Gordon Leven for some semi's in the near future too! I've found that my current rims (17's tho unfortunately) are very light so i'll be using them as track wheels once I get my new ones.. It's a shame they are 17's though, cos most semis are 16's aye?
  12. Just road tyres... It's not for my car.. a mates. Out of interest, where can you get 2nd hand semis from Vic? I'm looking to buy some soon. Have you ever bought some second hand?
  13. Does anyone know where to buy second hand tyres in Sydney?
  14. Ahh ... eerily quiet now! Thanks for your help GTST!
  15. Ok, i've unbolted the BOV from the intake, and there is a thin gasket, plus a thicker metal plate that completely blocks the bottom of the BOV off from the intake! Is this normal? BTW, that pic at the top isnt actually a pic of my BOV.. It's just one i found on the web. Mine doesnt actually have that thick adapter at the bottom, but it does have a thinner metal plate that blocks the bottom of the BOV as stated above...
  16. I found an interesting thread on SDU about modifying the factory BOV to stop boost leak: http://forums.skylinesdownunder.co.nz/show...=&postid=191358 I think I may have solved why my turbo wont flow any more than 15psi when its capable of 18-19!
  17. Interesting..I didnt think it could possibly be stock. A mitsu part on the top of a nissan engine!! I know this stuff happens often, but it's fairly prominent aye! hehe Thanks for your input guys. Does yours flutter at all? how much boost are you guys running?
  18. I've got a weird looking BOV on my R33 GTS-T. It's got a Mitsubishi symbol on it, and it's model number is K5T09. I've attached a pic. I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about this type of BOV. Namely whether they are adjustable? I cant see any way to do it, but someone else may know something I dont? I'm getting a huge amount of flutter, even when on relatively low boost (11-12psi). It seems that its only when I get full boost (15psi) and back off that I get a proper vent, and even then it flutters after some pressure is vented. It's venting back into the intake. Is this 'plumbed back?' If so, should I be getting extremely loud fluttering? Excuse my ignorance, I dont know that much about the bastard things Any help would be appreciated.
  19. OIC.. makes sense.. I though that Destinator PN used new Map formats (ie. not compatible with D3).. I must have been mistaken! You're using the D-3 maps with D-PN successfully?
  20. I cant see any way this is possible.. it's all or nothing unfortunately. Attached is the list of files inside the Destinator 3 Australia Maps. I dont see how you can extract Vic only from that? Whats wrong with having all of australia? It's only 80meg
  21. They are industrial photographic printers. I would expect at least 300 dpi too. If you know Easton Chang, you would know that he wouldnt print anything that looks less than perfect. As mentioned in the first post they are printed on high quality matte/glossy photographic paper. They dont make crappy desktop inkjets that print 127cm x 76cm
  22. The microphones are tiny, like the size of half a stick of chalk. You've seen mobile phone car kit microphones before havent ya? You can barely even notice it's there..
  23. The maps you're looking for are actually for Destinator 3. Freedrive is built on this back-end. Torrent here: http://www.torrentspy.com/download.asp?id=643606 There is only 2 seeds, so it may take a while to download. It's 80MB, but contains all maps for Australia.
  24. Yeah i'm willing to help where ever possible. if you have any questions just ask away. There is enough knowledge in this thread to get you up and running with minimal fuss!
