  1. LoL.. righto mate.. how many 600hp 'supercars' are worth $150 to $200k!?
  2. I will seriously take em for $900 if no-one else wants them...
  3. Spotted a grey R32 GTS-T with a full bodykit in Telopia/Dundas parked on the side of the road. Plates YOF-xxx. Thats some awesome 45 degree positive camber you've got on the rear right there! It looks like the rain + a gutter has claimed another victim!

  5. Wooah Nelly! I gotta get me one of these!! Interesting to note that the pics from this magazine show the car as being badged "Skyline". After all of this talk about it no longer being the Nissan Skyline GTR, but now being called Nissan GTR to separate it from the JDM family cars! I hope it does keep the Skyline name, as it's been with the car since its inception. It would be a shame to lose it simply for marketing purposes.
  6. I didnt have an aux input on mine, but I found that you can buy a cable that goes from CD Changer plug to 2 x RCA. Effectively giving you a line input! This is for JVC head units. The cable was $140 (!?) from JVC... But I got one from the US for $25... You'll have to do some research on your particular brand, but im pretty sure every manufacturer would have something similar!
  7. I just finished installing a CarPC on Sunday!! I used an IBM laptop simply for the fact that the unit has been designed to be moved around, unlike a normal PC which is usually designed to stay still. Also Im pretty sure the laptop hard drives are more shock resistant than the full size one due to the smaller platter size. With cars like ours (stiff suspension) this is very important unless you want to replace the hard drive yearly! I installed the laptop under the drivers seat. Features: - Lilliput 7" In Dash Motorized Touch Screen (Built in TV Tuner) (Ebay - $570) - IBM R40 Laptop (P4 2.0Ghz, 512mb RAM, 40GB HDD) (Free from work!) - Laptop docking station for quick removal of the PC (Ebay - $25) - Holux USB GPS Receiver (Ebay - $85) - Wireless - For transferring music to my car - Total cost (Including cables and other assorted stuff) -- approx $700 Software: - Centrafuse http://www.fluxmedia.net/ This software is the bomb! I tried heaps of different ones and found this one to be the best! Best of all - its free! It's all designed for use on touch screen with big buttons and stuff. It does all this plus more: - Sat Navigation - TV - Web Browser (Requires Internet) - DVD Player - Mp3 Player/Video Player - Visualizations (like winamp) - ODBC II Vehicle communication (Requires connection cable to hook up to ECU) - Local Weather (Requires Internet) Ill post up some photos tomorrow...
  8. I dont know how you can manage with less than 100mm!? It's definite front bar crunching height anything below that! I'm running at about 120mm at the moment and there is some places I just can't go! I can't get to my office when it's below 120mm.. damn driveway with oversized speedhumps.. I --juust-- scrape a tiny bit when coming over them
  9. Haha.. I would recommend reading instructions before fiddling with anything else on your PFC... The worst case scenario results in a loud BANG!
  10. It makes a big difference. Removing subs and amp from the boot requires pulling a lot of interior out to remove cabling etc. You've got a power cable, RCA's, AMP switch wire etc.... This all requires removal of the rear seat and sometimes the passenger or driver seat plus pulling up carpet. Plus removing aftermarket door speakers requires removing door trims and sometimes manfacturing brackets for the standard speakers to go back in if the standard mounts have been removed to fit larger speakers... So yeah... any 'stereo' installer would definitely want to know what has to be removed specifically, and from what car!!! Plus some cars are really f*cked to work on and would cost more.
  11. Yeah i'm running the Apexi Power FC Boost solenoid kit.. Its ticks like a little bugger when on boost but i can hardly hear it over the exhaust/turbo whine anyway! Im pretty sure there is nothing wrong with it...
  12. Mine does this too... I'm running an apexi turbo tho.. What boost controller is he using? It sounds like a relay clicking back and forth reeeally quickly aye.. .maybe 20 times a second?
  13. I didnt read it! I hope there wasn't a clause stating that my soul is now property of RENEW or something! :laughing-smiley-014: -- I did read it of course.. i just didnt remember seeing the total number of cars!
  14. woot! 15 SAU vehicles! Thats a great effort! Do you kow how many spots there were in total including RENEW + Others Adam?
  15. Spotted a Black R33 GTR with White rims (AK-**-FF) on the Hume highway yesterday.. Cruised with it for a while.. Nice looking GTR!
  16. MrGenius, Could you please confirm that you got my form mate? Name: Jon Bates Cheers!
  17. Just another quick question: "Maximum drivers per car = 2" - Is the entry fee for the day then charged per car, or per driver? eg. We pay a single entry fee, and its ok for one of my mates to have a lap or two in my car... OR eg. We pay 2 x entry fees and we are allowed to share one car...
  18. lmao sorry, that cracked me up!!
  19. Thats some good advice Duncan, thanks!! I can personally testament to #2 - I realised towards the end of the last track day that I wasnt even close to hitting ABS when I was braking! You would be amazed what warm/hot tyres and a usually smooth braking surface can do for your stopping power! It's tonnes more effective than cold tyres and an uneven braking surface (ie. what you would normally experience on the road.)
  20. Dammit.. I'll be missing this tonight guys. I've got the flu. I'm a generous person, but I doubt if you guys would appreciate me giving this to you! Have a good night tho!
  21. Personally i'd take it, and pull it out of the boot and leave it in the pits before scrutineering. Thats what I'll be doing, and I'm pretty sure most other people do that too. You dont want to get stuck out there without a spare.
  22. stan - what are you stripping out of your car? Just rear seats/boot carpet etc?
  23. yeah notice I said "hard pressed to get out of there under $40...." which is what most of the cheaper mains are priced at. I wasnt talking about kobe specifically...
