Well now you know

I've gotta say, I was a bit paranoid about having to cut back on gym time (too busy these days) so I get around 40-45mins instead of 60-70, but I've mixed up the workload more, dropped rest between sets, using almost exclusively compound exercises and my weight and strength are both still solid for me. Quite happy with that TBH.

Need Help Confirming Speaker Sizes.
No Crust Racing replied to No Crust Racing's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
There is, OZMadaClub, I've asked, one guy replied with that he assumes they are 5x7 like most other MAzda's but didn't know. Mazda Formum on Hardtuned doesn't know either. -
Need Help Confirming Speaker Sizes.

I looked at this already, but also found conflicting information on the tubes about how GC and GG were different to GH and onwards. That's also an american site, another red flag for me because there are differences between the models - such as the Yanks getting a 6cyl option while we never had that. 2003-UP Mazda 6: Standard -Front 5x7" * Can use 6x8"s, see note above. * Can also use 5.25"s or 6.5"s with additional work, see note above. -Rear 5x7" * Can use 6x8"s, see note above. * Can also use 5.25"s or 6.5"s with additional work, see note above. -90 amp alternator -
The missus has hinted that she wouldn't mind some new speakers in her 2008 model GH series 1 Mazda6, with mothers day approaching it seems like a good time. However I can't seem to confirm what speaker sizes it has and as it is her car I can't easily pull the trims without her noticing. What little info I can get seems to imply they are 5x7 and that 6x8 will also fit. Can anyone who works in the industry confirm this? The car has a standard, non-Bose, stereo and appears to have splits in the front (tweeter separate) and standard speakers in the rear.

That's right, this was a 40kg issue a while back wasn't it? Whatever you do take it slow and avoid ending up with a prolapsed disc like me

Interesting. Stuff, I'd say the right is compensating for the left. EDIT: Birds just posted the same thing. Anyway, you can do single leg work to bring the left up to par. I had to do that back in the day of trying to get bench weight up. Trained left side to stop right compensating.

My understanding was always that the knees come in when you're approaching your weight limit. You might have to do some assistance exercises or maybe some band work to help you at the problem point. When do your knees start turning in? Coming up or going down? I'm not savvy enough on squat mechanics to suggest which muscle you want to target, Rev would have a better idea, but I'm thinking anterior adductor (inner thigh) and ITB (outer quad) stability could be a problem? I've used brackets just in case my terminology is wrong

I'd say he means he gets his best results from masturbation?

Will give Birds props for working out smarter than he was previously. Basketball counts as cardio I'd say. I would say you're skinny (or skinnier than I would want to be), but I still have hangups about being skinny so my opinion may not be objective enough. Also, I dropped a few KGs while on Holiday despite eating a ton of short bread and bad foods... I put it down to spending a lot of time running around with/after the grub which was very fun.

Welcome. You'll find most in here subscribe to strength/power lifting and less body building type routines. Also don't listen to anything Birds has to say, he's a raging homo and needs to eat a hamburger As a semi reformed bro curler and squat dodger I can relate to some of your routine - I used to do 3 different bicep exercises 3 times a week - I can say that since shift to more of a compound exercise routine I am a bit more rounded strength wise and enjoy the work more. I also got bigger and easier but that was more to do with weight/rep scheme. If your goal is trimming/fat lose, then a big part of that will be in your diet. Aiming for sets of 8-12 and having shorter breaks will assist also, that's just what I find though, everyone is different.

Well I'm back from 2 week holiday and after having used 2 diffeent gyms while I'm away I have this to say. - Gym's are expensive, $14 - $15 per session, man that would add up, obviously you get it cheaper for yearly. - Sharing gym space is shit. Finding plates and waiting for stuff is annoying - would be better if I learned to other exercises for the same result though I assume. - Why are you staring at me you weirdo... - I enjoyed having access to a few different leg machines for leg work without straining my back. - Gym showers are awkward places to be. After doing a session last night at home... #HomeGymMasterRace

Basic Roll Cage Options And Saftey
No Crust Racing replied to No Crust Racing's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Yeah that sounds about right. I remember the bottle of booze, went down a treat lol Should be pointed out to others, it wasn't 6mths of waiting it was 6mths if actively chasing him and unraveling a web of lies etc etc, there's details over in the ProFab thread, there are still people waiting for items YEARS after paying. Of course they can, but not for $700 delivered and still using 44mm CDS. AGI's Bolt in/Bolt together cage was more expensive than that. I have no issues with AGI and I'm not saying ProFab does anything better, I'm only pointing out that the value for money was exceptional in what we bought. If I had to do it again though, knowing what I know, I'd save myself 6mths and spend an extra few bucks and go local or AGI. -

For everyone else playing at home, Josh and I ordered cages together (and got free freight) but it took.... err how long Josh? I can't even remember now, 3-6mths? -

The AGI was a slip joint, bolt together for more money than this cost as I chatted with them also. That said, many have said the experience is good with them. Oh as for washers, didn't come with any and while you might get some on the front two holes, you'd be hard pressed to get anything useful on the back. -

Here's some pics. You can see what's needed to install the main hoop. A plate is welded to the floor pan that has captive nuts on the back (you must drill holes for them to recess into). You then bolt the cage to the welded floor plates. The back stays are just bolted in like a normal bolt in cage. The cage itself seems quite decent and a few people commented on it being a fully welded design, getting it in the car was not that hard - with a ratchet strap to compress the main hoop a little for clearance. All in all it seems decent, though I wonder if I should have just put a full cage in it and been done with it... ? The experience of obtaining it has mentally scarred me -
Not as much as I used to when I was younger, it remains fairly constant now but I have adjusted my eating since busting up my leg and ankle to compensate for the lack of cardio. I'm just about to get my exercise bike back and then I can get some low impact cardio going on.

More or less, I work it into the gym routine M/W/F and will spend 15mins or so on every other day. I'll also try to have a bit of a stretch before doing anything that's back intensive for me, like whipper snipper, polishing the car, sealing the garage floor etc. I'll then have a hot shower in the evening and another stretch on heavy use days, sometimes a heat pack also. It sucks. I do think almost anyone can benefit from regular stretching, but I do sit all day which doesn't help.

Slow progress and that's as good as progress on my injury gets from what I'm told by everyone I've seen. I can have the surgery to remove the protrusion and get the disc off the nerve which would remove the nerve pain (my main issue) but I'm really reluctant to want to cut into my back. For now I do the physio work that anyone with this issue would do, surgery or not, which includes a lot of stretching and mobility work, planking etc. It helps, but when you really use your back ( spent 5hrs polishing the car yesterday and made sure I had a good stretch, hot shower and used a heat pack) I'm still stiff and tender today. As for gym, I'm still doing it, check my thread, and managing to do planks, dingle leg lunges and calf raises and some light squatting with a weight belt (to avoid spinal compression). I could be in much worse shape for a 30+ yr old who sits all day. Weight is still holding around the high 80s. As for when I went pro in seeking help, after I found I could not stretch it out and I needed Ibuprofen to stop the pain (which implied swelling). I saw my physio and we did some work but got no results in a few weeks so he suggested the MRI which confirmed the damage.

Jesus Birds. What's wrong with you? Surely you knew that gloryholes would lead to aids?
