  1. Finally got some time to detail the car and took some more shoots. See updated pictures in the first post. Enjoy!
  2. Welcome! Pics or (of the handbag that is)
  3. Funny how this thread has just turned from 350kwGTT vs GTR to MRS vs R33GTST LOL First I would like to say TOYOTA is renowned for its build quality, way better than any Nissans could manage IMO. Same goes for the MRS I don't think it would develop as much problems if you were to start similar modifications compared to the GTST. In fact it should be faster around the circuit than a GTST with similar mods albeit with less grunt. Do a search there are many well modded circuit MRSs in Japan, remember there was one built for "Touge" with stock power but less weight, it was keeping up with an 400PS S15 on the "Touge" both ways. As for those who reckon a MRS or MX5 is a hairdressers car, you either have never driven one or you don't know how to drive thus can not appreciate the great handling balance these cars can offer.
  4. SUPERCHARGE IT! The GTi is a sweet little package. Famous VW/AUDI built quality, has a better interior than most "luxury" local cars. Comes with a very tunable 2.0FSI Turbo engine, a simple ecu flash would give it almost 120 front wheel kW. But I would not get one after owning a mk4 GTi. A front wheel drive car just doesn't cut it for me anymore. The R32 Golf is in another class though AWD, DSG, VR6 engine! Pity its $57k retail is a rip off IMO considering the Americans are paying only $32000US for one.
  5. LOL from the latest MOTOR: The replacement will be, as you all know by now, a US built 3.5l Duratec V6 which will arrive here first in Mazda's CX9 in December. Its an all alloy 3.5l V6 outputs 197kw at 6250rpm on 87 octane US fuel, which should deliver well over 200kw on our premium fuel if not in par with the Nissan 3.5l V6 that comes in the 350Z. The next XR6 Turbo has been assured by Ford displaying a twin-turbo version of the Duratec 35 aka TwinForce, in the Detroit Motor Show in Jan. "TwinForce" produces 309kw and 540Nm on E85 ethanol. The next Boss V8 will be replaced by the 5.0l all alloy V8 from Jaguar's C-XF, in both N/A and Supercharged versions.
  6. He could make a name by entering drift competitions with his 350rwkw gtt! thats if he is capable
  7. Don't listen to these clowns. I will offer you a real advice. Keep your gtt! You will thank me later for saving you from throwing all that money into an GTR on top of the $60K.
  8. Ford Australia has confirmed they will bring to an end 81 years of engine manufacturing at Geelong at the cost of 600 jobs in a move that will devastate the local economy. As predicted, Ford said it a statement today that they would stop production of their in-line six cylinder engine and replace it with an imported V6. "From 2010 Ford Australia will import a global new Duratec V6 engine, including high performance derivatives, for use in the company's locally made Falcon, Falcon Ute and Territory model lines," the statement said. "As a result, the company will discontinue its Australian I6 engine operations in Geelong in 2010. Redeployment opportunities will be maximised wherever possible and the company will work closely with its employees and unions to minimise the impact on the 600 people affected by the decision across engine operations." Earlier, "shattered" Ford workers learnt their fate as the federal government the job losses. Victorian premier Steve Bracks and Prime Minister John Howard vowed to help affected workers find new jobs shortly after the announcement. Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union (AMWU) vehicle division federal secretary Ian Jones said the workers felt cheated as moves were underway to cater for Ford employees put out of work. Mr Jones said the state and federal governments would fund a $24 million regional development package, aimed to help the 600 workers secure suitable employment. More at http://www.drive.com.au/Editorial/ArticleD...ArticleID=41787 Why will it be missed? Ford Australia's six-cylinder turbo is world class (quote from drive blog) "There’s never been any question that Ford’s turbocharged engine is a good thing. Much to the frustration of some Ford marketeers, its V8-beating performance has made the XR6 Turbo something of an Aussie muscle-car bargain. For me, though, BMW’s turbocharged six-cylinder is further justification of just how good the Falcon turbo is. Since arriving on the scene in 2006, the BMW engine has received rapturous praise, for good reason. It’s been lauded for its supreme mid-range performance and enthusiastic high-speed response. With 225kW and 400Nm – to deliver the sort of flexible mid-range response people once dreamed of – the 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged six-cylinder is a deserving winner of the 2007 Engine of the Year award. But the Ford engine ain’t far off it in terms of what it does. The first time I drove BMW’s engine, though, it instantly reminded me of the BMW turbo, which is hardly surprising given they’re two of a trio of turbocharged, inline six-cylinder engines on the market (the other being from Volvo). The Ford engine dishes out 245kW and plenty of torque (480Nm), for effortless mid-range response. Sure, it’s bigger than the BMW (at 4.0 litres) and is lugging around more weight, but what it lacks in technology it makes up for with results. Yes, the BMW engine is ultimately a lot more refined. It’s smoother, more responsive right down low in the rev range, and happier reaching to its higher revs. But it would want to be; it’s an expensive engine with all the might of one of Germany’s finest behind it. It’s also got two turbos to the Ford engine’s one. And, at the end of the day, the Ford’s six-cylinder turbo is in no way disgraced against the 'Engine of the Year'. 9. Wow! where did that came from? I never said that you said they should be ashamed of themselves. I SAID they should be ashamed of themselves. Why are you so uptight? threads on this forum are open for discussion if you don't like it, well, everyone's entitled to their opinions. I respect that and I did not not agreeing with you did I? if that makes you feel better. As for "thanks for sharing your thoughts" actually meant thanks for sharing your thoughts! theres nothing else! so don't get all defensive. Relax. Enjoy your weekend.
  10. OH YEAH ABSOLUTELY! They should be ashamed of themselves not only displaying such reckless behavior on public roads (Im sure the US have laws against it) but being grown men they were unable to handle a video camera properly not to mention poor selection of lighting and timing of the day. A total failure of whatever purpose they intended for this video. thanks for sharing your thoughts too
  11. I use 1280x800 screen they are perfect match. Click the top black bar to get full size. Imprsv, great photographs! thanks for sharing!
  12. Thanks G Force. Yeah had a few delays putting parts together so it took longer than usual but it was worth the wait I think. Yes these are Impul skirts. Good to know that you are thinking along the same line here, I really do prefer the simple look of the Impuls that IMO flow better with the car's original bodywork. Still has the standard rear bar at the moment. Not sure if I want to change it. Maybe you guys can give me some ideas. I will have some more pictures soon, might be doing a photoshoot the during the weekend.
  13. Thanks for all compliments. Yeah I thought its gonna be quite an unique package. Glad it turned out the way I imagined Wheels are Rays Gram lights Maximum
  14. got your back
  15. My pleasure! Glad you all like it!
  16. Top Secret GTR style front bar Before: After: Tell me which look do you prefer? More pictures to come. Cheers EDIT: Photos updated. Hope you enjoy the photos.
  17. take a chill pill people its obvious that the video was taken place in the US. My original intention of creating this thread was in fact to see what all your thoughts are regarding the stupid and dangerous street racing theme thats happening overseas and hope this kind negative behavior will never occur on our roads again.
  18. EVO 9 VS B5 S4 SAY NO TO STREET RACING
  19. looks like a giant octopus in there...
  20. there was a comparison done by one of the UK magazines between the new M3 and the current RS4 (both being N/A V8s) which the RS4 won in many areas like outright pace and grip. and the M3 was a more challenging drive hence more fun. can't remember the details though. The RS5's rumoured to have a forced induction V8 or N/A V10 which should put it above the M3 in terms of performance. I never liked cars of AMG, brutal force + auto only + boat like handling = not very German like engineering. more of a luxury yank muscle car image for me. M haus =/> AUDI RS >>>>>>>>>.........AMG
