  1. My favorite pic 4. btw this is a rare car looks like a rebodied 300ZX
  2. sorry I had to post this, the guy does not make any sense at all.
  3. Agree with Drivetrain loses are NOT calculated by percentages. In this case probably a little more I would say 60-65kw loss, partly due to increased heat from the extra power. The issue of drivetrain loss has been discussed thoroughly before in this thread:http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/25...Kw-t169392.html
  4. I will contribute
  5. Why not try to find one in the for sale section of this forum? There are PLENTY on offer. Personally I would not buy my car from dealers on Parramatta rd. But its just me.
  6. This thread actually has some good valuable info about the GTR if you ignore all the idiotic posts from people whos having a bad day. You could see the OP is obviously very enthusiastic about the new GTR that he wanted to share what he think is first hand info (and are actually news to most people here) with fellow skyline enthusiasts and therefore making a contribution towards the forum which is exactly what we were supposed to do. Not flaming each other or creating doubts about OP's credibility. Some people in this thread has forgotten why they are here. Anyways its good to see the majority of people are the appreciating type. Now get back to the topic. m3gtr maybe you want to edit all the pictures and "scoops" into the first post so its easier for everyone to read all the good stuff. Cheers
  7. Actually you are lame for bringing up ended arguements again. and way to lodge your first post here. If you are looking for fun to start a flame war you have joined the wrong forum.
  8. I would bet my money on a "chip" or ECU reprograming to be most cost-effective performance gain for the new GTR. Look at two other modern twin turbo 6 engines; 997 Turbo gets an extra 50-55kw from a software and a Chiptorque piggyback can give a BMW 335i an extra 35kw at the wheels! Whats the secret? You know it. BOOST, FUEL and TIMING. Changing exhaust on these cars do help but not as much as a software. Remember this GTR was built without "the gentlemens agreement" in mind. I would expect the factory exhaust to be quite free flowing but relatively muted in sound.
  9. lol A very immature comment. If you'd cared to read about that (by the way was called) "WILL there be a manual" thread not "is there a manual" (theres a difference if you think about it), you've understood the real point of the thread as it's not impossible for a manufactorer to introduce a manual version of the car a year two later due to demand or various other reasons. BMW has done it before. I have read the Nissan press release too from last week but I was still skeptical about if they would make one in the future, m3gtr is the first person that actually talked to a Nissan engineer to confirm for us.
  10. and 1kg/cm2 is a little less than 1 bar. But the factory boost gauge is not that accurate sometimes better of getting an aftermarket one.
  11. looks like a SUPER GT GT500 racer!
  12. From what I have heard SMG II is a much improved gearbox over the orginal SMG and it has a faster gear change than the Ferrari 360 F1. Eagerly awaiting news on the "track" versions then. Won't be long now.
  13. BMW has done it before with the V10 M5/M6 was initially offered with SMG only at the launch, then due to high demand from U.S. buyers that BMW released the 6 speed manual version 2 years later in 2007. Does anyone have any new infomation regarding this?
  14. Im sure there are some french/renault influence in the new gtr. they could surely understand what Duncan is talking about...but :laughing-smiley-014:
  15. Agreed. The entry model R35GTR is really aimed at the luxury equiped 911 Turbo not the GT3 or GT2. But R35 GTR N1 anyone?
  16. I thought this is an interesting read -year end F1 driver assessments from newsonf1.net Here is what the OP has to say: Interested to know how you rate your top 10 F1 drivers of 2007 and why?
  17. I have been running nearly 290rwkw at 19psi with stock GTT BOV for the last six month. It will be fine
  18. Should be cheaper this way yes.
  19. A front wheel drive skyline!? Your mate must be on crack..
  20. 260deg cams is correct choice for your car, with the GTRS and all the parts you've got its looking good to make 270rwkw! and you should be a happy chap! just do it.
  21. It was supposed to compete with BMW M3 of the same era (E36) in Japan. Both has RWD front Inline six engine layout with similar power to weight ratio. Obviously they are plenty other competitors you could name, Supra, RX-7....
  22. my thoughts exactly
  23. Agreed lol I keep all receipts and the tally is at 32k so far...
  24. Thanks DOSKI. Did you leave a deposit or full payment? They can be a bit slow with communications sometimes but keep trying and make sure you leave a message everytime they will get back to you eventually. I paid a deposit and waited for 3 month till they called again no problems at all.
