  1. whats the best way to check for air leaks? I heard about using soapy water over the joins... Any other tips?
  2. Hey, I am looking at getting some 18" XHP (chinese) rims with some federal tyres. I will be using them mainly for street use and mountain cruises. Also the occasional track day. I have heard stories of cheap rims breaking when driven hard. Is this something I should consider, or would it really only apply for ppl that do vigorous racing? This is probably a very debatable topic, but appreciate your feedback nevertheless. Andy
  3. Thanks for confirming my thoughts guys.
  4. Just wondering what you guys normally do when you won't drive you car for a while (and there is no way you can get someone to start it up for a few mins). Im going overseas for a month soon and just wondering what I should do with the car, while im gone. Is it as simple as disconnecting the battery?
  5. Let me know if you have some available for sale in Brisbane - New or second hand. Tyres or no tyres. Will be going on a 32gtst. Cheers Andy
  6. Yep Usherly is right. Thats what I meant. Any ideas?
  7. I get a similar issue. On a cold start I have to give it some revs so it starts (otherwise it chokes). Then it idles at about 2krevs. Then i just tap my foot on the accelerator and it goes to 6.5k revs in no time, but doesn't seem like the engine is doing a lot of work. I drive like this for a bit and after about 10 mins then it goes back to normal - i.e idles at 1krpm and the car feels more responsive. I cleaned up the afm in the weekend and this has not fixed this. Can anyone shed some light on this? Two issues: 1). Need to give it revs when starting the car up cold. 2). High idle until the car warms up.

    17" Rims

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I may try the guys Darren recommended. I know ROH are in their list of rim suppliers too. How good are the rim animations on the roh website though.

    17" Rims

Thanks. I have tried GSWT too but no luck. I was after a 5 spoke wheel with a bit of dish. Yeh looks like I gotta aim for some Jap rims or 2nd hand ones, or what in some spacers as last resort. Any other recommendations welcome
  12. Is that all that you replaced? How much did it set you back out of curiousity for part/labour? What made u change ur altenator? This wasnt the only reason u changed it i imagine.
  13. I hear this is a common problem but every morning if i try to start the car it chokes and won't start (even after waiting for the fuel pump to kick in for a bit). To get it start i have to give it some revs as Im starting the car. Then it start fine. The car drives beautifully ones it starts. This start issue only happens when its cold. After its started for the day, i can turn it on normally after that (while its warmish). Anyone know a solution to this? Andy

    17" Rims

Hey guys, It sure is hard to find a place that has a decent range of 17"s to choose from, that clear the Turbo factory calipers! Have tried ozzytyres, Bob jane, Wheel revolutions and they don't have anything that i want. Keith for wheels mentioned they have a few, but I haven't checked them out yet. Does anyone recommend a place when they were wheel shopping that has a good range? I may even consider buying 2nd hand rims, or just putting some proper bolt on spacers on my current ones... Andy
  15. Whats the best indication/method to check how shagges your fuel pump is?
  16. Black32 can you elaborate on that? Im interested to make mine brighter.
  17. Oh that post. There was no solution though... Lol Thanks anyway. Any other tips on getting it off would be most welcome.
  18. Any feedback?
  19. No luck finding this thread you mentioned mate. Does anyone know the link or can someone pls shed some light on how they took this piece out? Thanks
  20. Mate. Thats great work. Thanks a lot. I'm just wondering if they would look that big (being 16"). If so then I think it doesn't look bad at all. I'll sleep on it. Thanks again.
  21. bump!
  22. I'm after an idea on what stock r34 rims would look on my r32. Greatly appreciated.
