  1. Come on guys, someone's gotta be keen on this...
  2. You only get what you pay for. Look at the material and build quality of Jap kits (e.g. Blitz, HKS, Trust) and compare it to a $500 eBay job. It will speak for itself. Then again, the eBay job might be sufficient for what you want. Always modify your car to a purpose or you'll get lost in a sea of parts. Work out where you want the car to be when you finish, and plan your mods around that. No use putting a top notch intercooler on if you dont plan on running some serious boost.
  3. Yeah, look at the track record for car theft and prison time - not bloody likely.
  4. Although I'm normally one for advocating against increasing penalties for crimes, I think automotive theft is one that has been unfortunately overlooked. It's all too easily dismissed, while other theft charges bring much more severe consequences. Of course, judges aren't often in the business of buying and modifying Skylines, and if they were, would most certainly insure them. But that's why there's a significant lack of sympathy in the Courts, to them it's just a car that's been stolen - nothing more. No sentimentality, no association with existing solely for your car, nothing. And as far as they're concerned, if you have a $50k car without insurance and are not intellectually disabled, you've understood the risk that you face.
  5. It's never good when things fall of your car! Hopefully you find out soon enough before any damage can be done. Good luck buddy.
  6. Yeah, I agree with the earlier comments. You can get some of the nicest seats for $1000 each, be it Momo, Sparco, Recaro, Bride, etc. Why would you spend over $1000 per seat for stock seats? Then again, a fool and his money are soon parted...
  7. I think I can get em new for around $500 delivered. PM if interested and I'll find out.
  8. Got a burgundy 32, but it's turbo. Going for $11,500. I'm in Mildura Vic, so only just on the border with NSW. Car will come with RWC for registration purposes too. PM if you're keen.
  9. I've got one up for grabs. Still new in bubble wrap, I bought it for my 32 but have decided to sell it so I don't need the boost controller. Asking $25 delivered Australia-wide. Please PM if interested.
  10. Sh*t! Rough luck, buddy. Hope you get her back on the road soon.
  11. Have removed boost gauge, and will re-wire original gauge in instrument cluster. Also, PRICE DROP!
  12. As a matter of reference, check this out: http://www.dragtimes.com/Ferrari--F40-Drag-Racing.html http://www.dragtimes.com/Ferrari--F50-Drag-Racing.html Just to prove a point, the F50 runs a flat 12 quarter mile, and the F40 is quicker again! And these are cars that are known to be quicker on the track than on the drag strip... there's no way a GTR can compete unless VERY heavily modified. Then again, you'd still have money left over for the difference in buying an F40 / F50... something to consider.
  13. Putting a GTR34 in amongst F50's, F40's, Diablo's and the like is just plain unfair. You might outrun them on a twisted road, but on an open circuit (e.g. Tsukuba), it's going to get annihilated. It would be interesting as a matter of fact to post the stats on these cars to see exactly how out-muscled the GTR is in this mix. This was always going to be an unfair fight for the GTR. Sorry to hardcore Skyliners, but it ain't no F40... not even close!
  14. PM's replied to. Car still for sale. And to let everyone else know, car will come with RWC at time of sale.
  15. Currently 153,000km. It gets 99% of it's km's driving Mildura to Adelaide and back, and manages 400km on about 3/4 tank.
  16. Willing to take part trade on cheaper car with cash difference...
  17. From a legal point of view, the council are pretty well sewn-up. That's not to say that they're above the law, but you would need a tightly strung case to get them to concede anything. I know a case that ran against a Metropolitan council a few years back. It ended up running for years, and racked up millions in legal fees. Eventually, the council lost the case, and was ordered to pay costs... Needless to say, the residents of that council district STILL have a levy in their council rates to make up for the fees paid by the council for losing.
  18. Why would you imagine the council would be liable for you driving your car in such a manner that it causes it to scrape against the driveway? If anything, they should sue you for damaging their driveway with your car...
