  1. No shit?! I've NEVER seen an r32 with an rb25 in it from factory. News to me! I might wait to verify it before taking it on board.
  2. I love this about 33 gtrs. They're so cheap its forcing the price of 32 gtrs down. Which makes sense cos who wants to pay over $20,000 for a 16-year old thrashed out racer? I reckon $35,000 tops for a 33 GTR. $40,000 if its in showroom condition with all records and paperwork. People asking over $45,000 are just putting them up for sale because their wives told them to. They're not serious about selling.
  3. I recommend using Perfect Run Website is www.perfectrun.com.au I've bought plenty of gear from him, and so have people I know. Never been a problem, not even once. However, you might have to pay some customs tax on it when it turns up. But you'll still save heaps. He has the greddy turbo kit for around AU$4300 + shipping: http://www.perfectrun.com.au/performance%2...ddyturbokit.htm Checky-checky check it out!
  4. My good man, if I had the mechanical prowess and the werewithal, I wouldnt be suggesting it to someone else now, would I? I make the suggestion because I lack the time and the ability to do this myself. But it seems there are a bunch of chaps on here who make a living from these cars, and this seems like a cant-miss.
  5. Repco have a sale on - Motul 4100 and filter for $50! Might get some next week.
  6. Yeah I did a similar trick with my a/c. it kept blowing the fuse, so i put a huge fuse in. Then smoke started coming from under my bonnet and the fuse melted into the fusebox. Needless to say, I dont recommend putting a larger fuse in. And by the way, my fusebox is fine and my a/c now works perfectly.
  7. Mine was playing up so I removed it from the car and sprayed electrical contact cleaner through it for a while. Put it back together and it purrs.
  8. Which oil is better - Motul 4100 (10w-40) or Motul 8100 (5w-40) I've heard rumours you should use a 10w-40, but other people swear by 5w-40. It's for a 32 gts-t.
  9. I wonder if a strut bar from a 33 could be modified to fit a 32? You would have to drill new holes or something to fit the 32 strut towers, but at least you know it would clear the motor? It's an idea?!
  10. Any luck with the pics of the front pipe?
  11. It's all in the name... ultimate is ultimate! I run nothing but.
  12. Yeah, it gets a bit ridiculous with people asking over 250 for a grill and over 600 for a bonnet. When you consider the number of peolpe with 32's that would want a gtr style hood and grill, there should be a package for 500 that includes replicas of the two, and the necessary bits and pieces to modify bonnet latch. Could even add another 300 and include a front bar, or go for a grand and include painting and fitting - so it's essentially a changeover, and you lose your GTS-T front bar and hood in return for a GTR style hood, grill and front bar. For a grand, I'd probably do it...
  13. Yes it was very unprofessional and would not be supported by any judicial official. My idea still stands for the creation of a national register of police complaints. That would weed out the bad ones pretty easily, and allow us to have a unified voice. Strength in numbers
  14. Heya all, I was chatting to a fibreglasser in adelaide about the prospects of getting a 32 gtr grill and making copies of it for public consumption. Someone with a genuine / copy grill should get theirs cloned and start selling copies. Would be a good idea for a business trader or someone with time on their hands. Unfortunately, I no longer live in adelaide, so I can't take up the idea. But sounds like a winner. Should also get into modifying GTS-T bonnets so they accommodate a GTR grill, and making bracket kits. If you could get a complete conversion from GTS-T to GTR painted and fitted for around $500, would be laughing (I'm talking drop-off and pick-up). Just a thought.
  15. meh, im happy enough if it doesn't stall. 600km to a tank sounds inviting, but I'm willing to settle for a car that works. If I wanna be economical, I can drive my wife's excel...
  16. Yeah, I'm looking to get my first major service done: NGK Iridium Spark Plugs GATES Racing Timing Belt New Oil Filter (RYCO Z145A) MOTUL 4100 Turbolight Oil PENRITE Gearbox Oil PENRTIE LSD Oil Coolant (not sure what type yet). That should hopefully keep the old girl ticking...
  17. Is ABC2 showing any more old-school races? I'm starting to suffer from withdrawal
  18. Mate, no offence, but I don't think you're going to find a strut brace made for the 32 that accommodates an rb25 engine. I can't picture any manufacturer making such a strut bar. It might have to come down to trial-and-error, but thats going to get costly. Maybe you could measure the distance between your strut tower and the top of the engine, and work with it from there? Still wouldn't be any guarantee, but might help with the search. Good luck!
  19. She almost stalled on me this morning, but she was cold, and I was running my BOV atmo, so they could be causing it. I'll tighten the sh*t out of the BOV when I go home for lunch, and see if that makes a difference. If it only happens when its cold, I'll let it go. It's when it's warm that it concerns me. It's hard to get going in the morning, like its owner
  20. All PMs replied to. Item still for sale at this point in time.
  21. Don't you know it... and I was getting ready for a real battle to work out what it was. That said, I'm still gonna be cautious for the next few days, and see if I can get it to stall. I had a bit of a shock when I put everything back together and the car started idling from 1000-2000rpm. I thought 'great, now I've really fixed it.' Turned out I hadn't plugged the AFM plug all the way in. Plugged it in and hey presto!
  22. Yeyah, cleaned the AAC and the AFM, now she purrs like a kitten. Just hope it stays that way. Thanks everyone
  23. Nah it all works a treat now. I just cleaned the AAC and AFM. I used carby cleaner for the AAC, and electrical contact cleaner for the AFM. Purrs like a kitten, thank god. Let's just hope it stays that way. Thanks for all your help, guys.
  24. Thats what I'm looking to put in my 32
  25. VERY VERY nice! Makes me wanna buy a stagea.
