Are these we-todd-did-racing.com photos not loading up for anyone else?

Mick, Well put Just wait for my photos... I made sure I took photos of the R31s, R30s and the KPGC10s! Don't be disheartened if people mention the older models less, I guess in the same way you're biased towards your car model, everyone else is biased towards theirs! But because there are so many more R32s, R33s and R34s, it's only natural that conversation tends to gravitate towards the models that the majority own! We definitely appreciate you coming all the way from the ACT, but even more so because you brought out your R31s!!! It wouldn't be a complete show without your input and your beautiful cars! :uh-huh:

Have I been added to the list as the photographer yet? I promise to recharge my flash batteries this time
-
Toulia, thanks so much for the bread rolls mate! You have to come to more SAU events though!!! Just cos you don't have your GTR anymore, doesn't mean you're allowed to leave us! Just look at me, I'm sticking around like a bad smell :uh-huh: :uh-huh: :innocent:

Manu, you came 2nd place on points... Beautiful car mate! Just went through my pics... Waaaaaay too contrasty It was useless trying to take pics yesterday without a flash I'll post some up anyway when I get a chance.

Nope, it would have cracked my lens!!! Mate, seriously... Thanks SOOOOOOO much for spinning the decks all day... The music and PA system brought the show onto a whole new level, and added great ambience to the day. You're a fcuking legend

Skylines are so 1995 I went around and took a few shots, but nowhere NEAR enough as I would have liked... Also, I forgot to recharge the batteries in my flash, so I'm not expecting any decent shots I'll go through them soon...

Yah, but the majority of people there *could* have pre-entered if they just got off their collective asses earlier :bonk: Starting the judging as soon as the first car was parked would have consisted of starting the judging at 7:30am Basically, I arrived at 8:30am (when we advertised that we would start taking entries) and there were already about 20 cars processed and parked in the field... WTF?!?!?! :chairshot I then had to go through 100 entry forms, entering in the details of each car into our judging database. Even with Nick's help, this took about a minute per car. Then we needed to print off all the judging sheets, which took another 30 mins or so... Then we had to find all the judges (surprisingly enough, they weren't as keen to get there at 4am like Wilch and Silver-GTSt were ) and brief them on the judging criteria and how to fill out the judging sheets. Judging itself took about 3 hours, and then we needed to collate all the forms, and enter the results for each car, times 6 judges, for upto 4 catergories... This took about an hour. Grouping the cars into make and model was one suggestion made (e.g. Grouping all the R31s at one end and all the R34 GTRs at the other end). Although this would speed up the judging IMMENSELY, it would see a very biased spread of spectators methinks... Some cars will get a much reduced walk-through rate if we segregated the field like this. I don't think this is a good idea. If anyone has any other suggestions on how we could make this process faster, it would be much appreciated, as we (the organisers) would like to reduce the time taken to judge the cars as much as you guys do!!! :uh-huh:

As far as I know, 2GU UP drives his car daily too :upurs:

Jason, nice to meet you on Sunday... Sorry I didn't get to talk to you properly, I was extremely stressed about making sure all the cars were entered into the judging sheets... Next time for sure! I think we should REALLY stress the importance of pre-entry next year. It would have made things run so much smoother and the judging would have been much faster too! Anyway, please pass on a HUGE thanks to Dejan for helping me out with preparing the judging sheets, I appreciated it more than he could ever imagine :uh-huh:

Paul (OzGTR), Did you tell them that you were inspired to goto their course because of their presence at the SAU Show 'n Shine?
-
Yeah, I had a run-in with a Mercedes station-wagon who refused to get the fcuk out of the right lane, even though he had a line of cars banked up behind him. Bloody sunday drivers :chairshot

I don't have a problem with posting up the results and judging criteria... I'll bring it up in the SNS Debriefing meeting Keep in mind though, that I would hate for people to turn their cars into over-the-top show cars just for this little friendly show 'n shine...
-
Nope! Didn't take you the wrong way... Just wanted to make sure that you knew how close the judging results were!!! :uh-huh: I just wish we had more prizes and trophies to give out!!!
-
Paul, au contraire, you *were* big winners with the judges.... Some of them anyway! After last year's show, we revised the judging criteria, and the way judging was changed to a fairer system. This was our first run for this more involved and more intense judging system, which as everyone (including us) now knows, took a lot longer than we expected (both the actual judging, and entering in the results back into our database). Basically we employed two tactics to keep the results fair: 1. We set much stricter judging criteria to address ALL *TYPES* of cars, from beautiful near-stock examples to all out-modified race cars like yours! We tried to make it an even playing field, regardless of what you chose to do with your car... Whether it be restore a classic KPGC10 GTR, keep your standard car absolutely immaculate, or modify the t1ts off it and churn out eleventy billion kw! 2. The second tactic we employed was to recruit a diverse range of judges. We got sponsor representatives, big names in the Skyline community, Mingara representatives, etc etc... This was undertaken with the aim to expose a large range of tastes to the judging criteria. One judge might like Malcolm's PRISTINE NISMO-demo car R33 GTS-t and give that top marks (which happened on more than one judging occasion if I remember correctly) and another might prefer the more modified examples of ULOOOK and MPH459 (both absolutely amazing cars)... In the end, there was only 3 points seperating the top 3 cars in this R33 GTS-t catergory!!!! So as far as I'm concerned, the judging was a success!!! In any case, this isn't a professional car show, it's just an excuse to get all our pride and joy's out in the sun and have a chat to other SAU'ers and put faces to names! I hope that everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we did during the day... I'll put up my photos soon when I get a chance to go through them!

You have been challenged to a drag race. It's an automatic MR2, with big ricey front wing. Shouldn't be a problem for you.... Let me know if you accept the challenge and I'll setup the race... You might have to travel to Utah or somewhere else with some salt flats for the race though.

I have just done a quick look through the forums and the last set of R32 GTR AFMs were sold for $150. I guess you can have my R33 ones for the same price...
-
I have two standard R33 GTR V-Spec AFMs located in Lane Cove, Lower Nth Shore if you need them.

Those sample shots aren't too good for a "pro" photographer  Oh, and it was like a tropical hurricane at my place, so I didn't brave the elements and head out to Oran on Sunday... Looks like I missed an eventful day!

Oh well... Good luck with your DVD
