93 GTR Vspec -
i just got a R32 GTR as well, leaving it stock for the moment just to see if there is anything wrong. Don't wanna spend all the cash modding then if something goes bang, your in trouble. Unless money is no issue I've put in a set of XENONs though, but it doesn't go any quicker

Low Oil Pressure (car Kicks Over Then Dies)
gexenon replied to Wagon PWR's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I've got a R32 GTR and the low oil pressure light stays on but the oil pressure is normal? is there something wrong or just a dirty sensor? Sorry to hijak the thread -
What Rpm Does R32 Gtr Start Boosting?
gexenon replied to gexenon's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
looks like i'll be getting a free flowing exhaust soon then What does a RB26TT run standard boost wise? is it around 10 or 12 psi? I'm asking this because once the exhaust is in, the boost will creep up 1-2 psi anyway so i don't need a boost controller. I don't want to run more than 14psi on the stock turbos. -

gexenon replied to gexenon's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Is yours stock? i don't think i make any boost at 100K in fifth. The standard boost gauge is also really bad so i might change that first and see. If only money was no issue : -
What Rpm Does R32 Gtr Start Boosting?
gexenon replied to gexenon's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I was thinking of changing from the front pipes & leave the dumps on until new turbos are on. Will there be much improvement with this set up? or should i do the dumps now as well -

gexenon replied to gexenon's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
How much difference do dumps make? i'm thinking of not doing it as the turbos have to come off. -
Hi, my 32GTR's oil pressure light is always on for some reason, even though the oil pressure & temp are normal. I've check the oil and all levels are correct? Why does the light stay on? Could it be a sensor?

What Rpm Does R32 Gtr Start Boosting?
gexenon replied to gexenon's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Is it worth it getting a brand name zorst? they are quite expensive & imo just a pipe like any other pipe. I've been quoted a full stainless zorst from turbo back (no dumps) for $900 for a workshop. Does this sound right? Also, what factors determine a good quality zorst? -

gexenon replied to gexenon's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Does a 32GTR has a FMIC and it should be fine for the power i'm chasing. Also, bolt a rb25 turbo? just 1 of them? i was thinking something like 34 N1s or 2530s. but new turbos are a long way off atm. Can't justify the price. The straight line performance is already getting dull but when i take the puppy around corners, even stock power is a lot to handle. -
What Rpm Does R32 Gtr Start Boosting?
gexenon replied to gexenon's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I'm think about getting a turbo back zorst. Is there a lot of gain by doing the dumps? or should i just spend the money towards a PFC? I'm choosing between a PFC & microtech. Ive been told to go with microtech because it is more flexible as you do more mods but i'm not chasing huge power, just lots of response as this is more a street car. I've read on this forum that PFC is really good for what i want to do (zorst, boost up, PFC & tune). Which way should i go? any one had any experiences with both setups? What kind of power would this set up give me? Also, is there any point in going a brand name zorst like blitz? To me, a pipe is a pipe & don't really care about minor power differences. I think the money you save can be spent on other mods which will give more bang for the buck, like a PFC. Lastly, where can i buy the $22 boost contoller from? is 14psi really pushing the stockies? Sorry about the long post -

R32 Gtr Vs V-spec Vs Nismo Edition
gexenon replied to Usual Suspect's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Just bought a 93 Vspec Differences: - Brembos, solid rotors (not cross drilled) - The diff on R32 GTR Vspec are not finned, the normal GTR is finned (opposite of R33) - 4WD system is the same same as R33, doesn't take as long to shift touque to the front wheels - 17" BBS rims (stock) Suspension is the same. Thats about it. Oh, and it has a VSPEC sticker on the back -
Are Import Buyers Are Getting D**cked?
gexenon replied to Modena's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I just picked up a 93 GTR thats been complied under the new RAWS system which doesn't allow for any accident, rust cars to be imported. My car was the test car for the compliance shop. Although it toke nearly 5 months, i agreed to buy the test car because this is the car DOTARS checks & compliance shops won't risk importing a lemon because they won't get their compliance plates. I've only had the car for 2 days but i can already tell that its been looked after. It has 87 km on the odo, which i didn't believe at the start but after inspecting the car, it has a service sticker from Japan that says on the 10/5/04, it was serviced & 57 kms. This might not be as good as a log book but it does confirm that 87Km in late 2005 is fairly realistic. -

gexenon replied to gexenon's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Hi, I got the car though JSA in preston. I found them very helpful, the car was here 3 weeks after it was purchased at the auctions. This was the test car for their R32 compliance plates. I was told by other members & importers that this would take 6 months to do. Although i've been waiting for 5 months, it is still 1 month faster than everyones predictions so i think that was a good effort. They have licence now to comply late model 32s so i would go and speak to them. -

Can't wait to finally drive it. When the car first landed, i took it out for a quick spin and loved it. Just a question, did the V spec come with a strut bar in the engine bay and also a one in the boot? Are these nismo items by any chance. -

gexenon replied to gexenon's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Thats just plain cruel, not every funny HAHA Did you actually check the number? if you did can you tell what it came up with? The car came with brembos, no fins on the diff but no BBS rims. these were replaced with ENKEIs so thats why i wanted to check. -
Excitment is an understatement. I'm finally getting a 1993 R32 GTR vspec next week The car was bought in Japan last OCT. It was bought over in 3 weeks, however, due to the new SEVS, its been waiting for compliance for the last 4 month. I finally got the compliance plates on friday had have booked the car in for registration on Thursday. CAN't WAIT!!! can some with FAST chech the model number for me and confirm it is a 93 Vspec? The company i work for sell GE XENON HID kits. I'm getting an R32 GTR in a week and 3 kits will be going in ASAP. Low beam will be - 6,000K kit (from my experience, best colour & performance for low beam) High beam will be - 4,300K kit (since this is demo car, will be used to show colour difference from 4K to 6K) Fog light - 9,000K (spread beam pattern is used to light up the curb etc to the side of the car) I've got HID on my currenty car and can't go without them. It will be the first modification to the line. Will post pics of the look and performance once all done. Just a note, R32s came with all sorts of bulbs, some are H3, some are H3C, some are H1. You just have to pull out the bulb and have a look to be sure.
