  1. Got mine done at Current Trendz but thats in WA only. They do alot of tints for car shows etc. Find a good tinter in ur area, not the commercial ones line tint-a-car coz they usually only do legal tint, maybe do a search in the NSW forum. Like i said i think mine's a 20% n that was a pretty close match. I personally wouldn't go 5% like sum have suggested, u would hardly be able to see out of em at night & cops pick it up straight away. 20%'s just crossed the legal line but its not that noticeable unless they do a test, ive never been pulled up on it.
  2. Factory tint is in the glass not a stick on.
  3. Here's mine. It was impossible to get an exact match but i went with the closest, think its 20% tint, 30% is legal(sumthing like that, memory blank atm) but the difference is unoticeable from the outside unless ur right up againt the window peeping in with ur hands cupped. Difference is in the tone of black, factory tint was abit more of a brown/red black tone, tint i used was more a green black tone. Go to a good tinter, tell em u want sumthing to match & they'll put a sheet up against ur window & u can decide from there on. So glad i tinted mine, looks 100% better and sure is good for keeping the sun/glare out, giving me some privacy & not to mention the UV that'll fade ur interior over time.
  4. Not sure bout the Silvia fascia... If its the newer series MR2 U made the right choise with a R34. Learn how these things handle & u can always upgrade to a turbo later Oh btw removing the h/u is quite easy, definitely wont need to set aside a day for it.
  5. Look in the sticky top of page - Wheel Offset Guide
  6. Since its a audio question u should really be posting in the car audio section. Btw Isnt $21k abit much for a NA? Think u can pickup a Turbo auto for that price. Anyway answer to ur question. 1. Pull out ash tray, remove screw behind it. 2. The plastic bit surrounding the gear stick just pulls out, no screws. But once that is out ull note the 2 lower screws behind holding the head unit. 3. Pull out air cond vents, no screws here, may require abit of prying on the edge but becarefull if using sharp objects like a screwdriver. 4. Once all the above is removed, ull note the necessary screws to remove to take out Head Unit. Becareful when removing the H/U alot have scratched the plastic bit surrounding the H/U. Hope that helps.
  7. The temp my Power FC reads is Water temp and thhat runs at round 84 - 87 degrees, sumtimes up to 89 on a hot day at idle. Didnt know the Power FC reads any underbonnet temps.
  8. Getting mine done at Cowleys smash Repairs in Cannington when kit arrives, recomended by few forum members(Mitch & Steve) who had their cars done there. If u pop in to see Brett he's a very helpful bloke. Fibrevision was on the cards but ive heard mixed reactions with them. Also Dave one of the ex-Fibrevision fellas is now at Cowleys. Search in W.A. section for more info.
  9. Well both places have given me very similar quotes. Brett n Dave from Cowleys seem very friendly & helpfull and were willing to work round me so i can have the car for the weekends and drop it back to them during the week for work as both places said it'll take 1-2 weeks. So leaning towards Cowley's atm.
  10. Yea seen the Ferrari 180 round, dont particularly like it but its different. I was also told of skirts done by Fibrevision falling off coz they weren't glued on properly, dont kno if it was just a one off or...
  11. Has anyone here had work done recently by either Fibrevision or Cowleys in Cannington? Would like to know wot their fibreglass n paintwork is like for bodykits - how well they get it to fit, good/crap fibreglass work, matching paintwork to factory... Ive read a no. of old posts on both places, Cowleys has had a no of positive comments, Fibrevisions had both plus n minus comments but these posts were old tho, ppl in the workshops have moved round since, well i kno one of the guys from Fibrevision has moved on anyway so i would like to know wot their recent/current jobs have been like. If u got pics of their work, post away. Cheers all.
  12. Delonix Radar, speak to Jeremy there tell him Kevin from the forum sent ya. I got one off him, not cheap but its the best one out there for W.A. Was suppose to do sum tests with him on the V1 & VEIL paint just b4 crissy but been busy, so far its been good tho. http://www.delonixradar.com.au/western_australia/
  13. Inverted my 12" to save on boot space but still had to raise the floor level a lil. My groceries goes in a box on the passengers seat
  14. If I dont get to go for a ride in it, its only half the fun.
  15. Maybe they do, hahaha... Fabcars in Vic Pk near the causeway, previously known as Autowholesalers, across frm John Hughes, u'd know it if uve driven down Shepperton Rd, all they have is imports, plenty of Skylines, Evos, Ceffies, Jap vans... in their yard.
  16. Fabcars. Launch is on next Wed n ill be there. Doubt its registered tho so it'll just be a teaser.
  17. Too bad ur over the other side of the country. If it was local pickup, i'd seriously consider it, dont feel safe having a lcd posted.
  18. There was a 34 wreck at my mates workshop a few mths ago, if i got the time this w/e ill pop in to see if they got a centre gauge. From wot i last heard interior was all good.
  19. If ur budget concience and dont wanna spend the $$ on coilovers, check out Sydneykids suspension packages. Cant beat it bang for buck. Check out the FS section. Doing just the springs is no good for factory shocks, u will eventually need to replace em.
  20. Well thanks for the warning then. Is this speaking from personal experience? And did u get done on a radar or laser? Ive also got a V1 detector, that works cept i gotta program it so it doesn't pickup X or L band otherwise it just keeps going off.
  21. Really?? So i should just save myself the risk of ruining my headlights then?
  22. Anyone here used VEIL Stealth Paint on their plates & headlights against radar/laser? Just wondering how it would look like on specially on the headlights. I believe it gives it a slight hazy look, could turn into a dirty look if not applied correctly. Didnt wanna ruin my shiny headlights thats all. http://www.delonixradar.com.au/products/veil.html
  23. Hey 32JEZ, how do those ebay globes compare to Philip Diamond Range? Whiter, brighter?? Anyone else can vouch for these globes? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...N:IT&ih=023
  24. East bear GTR-S front bar alone is $2k, postage not inclusive. I reckon u wont be short of $5k all up for the full kit by the time it gets here. Check the Cosmetics section, plenty of ppl there discussing the same conversion.
