How To: Replace R33 Climate Control Bulbs To Leds #2
BobyYoo replied to RANDY's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
for those with R32, this will not work. I believe it is the same for the s13. as our bulb are smaller. so you'll need 3mm leds. 5mm is a bit too big and it will not go through the hole. -
i thought yours was newer than mine, since you got a clear lense that goes over the plastic surround. i used a rubber from under the shifter boot from an old honda car. I cutted to fit the hole. i have done a DIY thread in this website, you can check out all the pictures. i think you must register to log in. http://forums.gtrcanada.com/viewtopic.php?t=10475 thanks for your post, it was very helpful to do my retrofit.

No, i dont have any service record. Seller said it was changed but i dont believe that. There is a sticker on the radiator, but i believe it is to show that the radiator liquid flush got change. No sticker on the timing belt cover. I do believe that the sticker on the screw of the CAS is stock. I remember seeing a low km skyline and it got that sticker on the screw that looks fresh from the factory. Is it easy to remove the timing belt cover? I would like to have a look at it, but im afraid to mess up with the timing from the CAS.

My crank angle sensor still have a sticker on 1 screw. Does it mean that my timing belt hasn't been changed?? Seller told me that timing belt was changed. By looking at the sticker here, it looks like the stock sticker. Can someone confirm the sticker. i have 100000km on my R32 gtst. So i guess it is time to change.

Ronin, we need more pics of your headlight. here are mine. Almost done with my e46 retro. mounted with screw into the bracket i will try to find a chrome bezel to put around the projector cutted the back to make the hole bigger testing nice cutoff Found a chrome bezel at my local hardware store in the plumbing section. TADAM!! I cannot believe that it fit perfectly. Hidplanet are selling some custom made bezel for $43 usd /pair. and these cost me $5 each
-
i started my retrofit using E46 projector. They are very similar to the honda euro. here are some pics. e46 projector e46 projector with the bracket fitted inside the headlight Back of the headlight. now i will have to screw the projector to the bracket and use soem jb weld. Then cut the back of the headlight, so i can fit the bulb adapter
-
i'm doing the same retrofit, but i'm using the e46 projector. i have the same problem as you, the projector are smaller in lenght. So i will have to cut the back, in order to fit the ballast adapter wire to the bulb.
-
Do you think it will be good if we only replace the stock projector with an hid projector? So i will keep the stock h3c bowl and put an hid cutoff shield with an hid projector. Then, buying an hid h3c bulb kit. is that a good? i'm just thinking that it will be easier, but i'm not sure how the h3c hid kit will light up.
