Thanks Leshy will have to check this out.... might also see if any of the guys at the cruise on saturday have any idea.... Cyrus mine is pretty loud and you dont even have to be looking for it to notice the noise....seems to be secured though so not sure why the noise??

yeah the canister definitely makes some noise Alex can verify that.... Although the noise that makes when the car is stationary is different to this concerning one….

sorry should have just said it makes a (loud) rattling noise

Timmmay Not a stupid question Yeah the sound is different to a spooling turbo…..The funny thing is it doesn’t do it all the time.... sometimes when I try to accelerate harder to hear it again trying to suss it out it doesn’t make the noise…. SKA It’s not pinging, I know that  I think you could be onto something about the broken or rubbing of a part but don’t think it’s a tailshaft or mount…. Definitely only happens under load but as said above its not constant…. Will get the bolt sorted on the manifold this weekend get new manifold also just in case and check all pipes etc… wonder if it could be the air box as I put it back in from having a pod in there??? Really stuck!! Heres a stupid question… my charcoal canister is loud as a mofo… could it be playing up under load ??

Hi all Over the last few days I have heard a strange sound coming from the front passenger side of the car. This only seems to occur under acceleration/ pressure. It sounds like a rapidly tweeting bird or a rapid squeak (sorry of the bad description). It could also be explained as high pressure air having something waived in front of the flow. When I had the 3in zorst made the guy said that there was a bolt missing on the zorst manifold. At first I thought it could be just leaking pressure, then thought it was the turbo but now I fear it could be something else. A mate just said it sounds a bit tinny to him….???? Don't have a clue??? Any thoughts???

Hi All on Sunday whilst removing the wires from the old jap sat nav from under the 2m thick carpet/sound deadner a plug was found protruding from my ECU.. aftermarket ECU hey???? this is a long shot but anyone have an idea as to what ECU this plug is for??? be good to just plug an play Cheers in advance Ian

Bought the Stag as need a bigger car due to second baby due in next few weeks and the usual pram/stroller carrying space, shopping. We also like to do small road trips too so nice boot size will come in handy… I have a 2 year old and he is infatuated with the sunroof especially.... he even harassed me to buy a hotwheels infinity wagon for the K-Mart because it looked like “mummies Nissan sagaaaaa” Also one of big reason for buying the stag was because of its presence… it demands respect from other road goers…… and must say it does get the respect it deserves Ian
