  1. anyone got a SMIC in good condition and want to offload. my number is: 0421 814 753 Location Melbourne. Melbourne Pickup only (unless you're willing to post it to me first - sorry don't want to be scammed)
  2. man the hydrid kit look like a bit of stuffing around.. is there a kit that doesn't require cutting holes because i think it is now illegal to cut any part of the frame. isn't there a kit that connect up to the two stock holes?
  3. Hey if it fit S2, I'll pick it up from ya.. i am in melbourne
  4. As the title says, thinking of getting the 044 but not sure if this would fit into S2 easily enough or do i have to stuff around with getting extra bit and piece which would end up costing more than a direct fit.. comments and instructions to fit is greatly appreciated.
  5. Hi.. would like to get one 044.. does it come with all the parts to fit into a 33 s2?
  6. Ok.. don't get me wrong.. i love my car..33 S2 it's bautiful..lower..full Nismo factory kit not one of those aftermarket weird looking one with more wave / curve than a fat lady on steroid if there is such a thing. Just nice and plain and muscline not all done up like a metrosexual... but the engine is giving me the shit.. some day it just run like a dream.. gear easy to change.. purr like a little kitten.. and full of grunt.. however someday it shit itself and runs like a truck.. exhaust is really loud (even after the silencer is fully closed).. no power.. impossible to change gear.. what could be the problem? - coil? - bad fuel? (only use BP or Shell top of the shell stuff) - engine going? - fuel pump? - i have mental problems and imagining things..? anyone experienced similar issue? any comments is appreciated.. back to work now..
  7. Hi guys and gils (btw.. how many Skyline drivers are female?) as the topic states, have anyone got some experience with engine damper?... the theory sounds logical, however have anyone actually have it in their car and actually sees an improvement?. Although it would help improve power transfer but in my opinion, i think it actually reduces handling.. this is because.. when you slamp the accelerator.. the engine actually shakes and lean to one side.. the force is transfered evenly (in theory) to the engine mounts..thus the rubbery mount to dissipate the energy reducing stress on the chassis but if you have an engine damper.. woundn't the force be transfer to only one side of the vehicle?, the side that the damper is attached to, therefore the energy would force the car to one side? any way that's just my ilinformed opinion, anyone can clear this up for me? thanks looking forward to hearing some of your thoughts..

man.. how do you guess get so many ks? i average about 300K for a tank.. and all i got is exhaust.. stock everthing elese.. what's wrong with me car?
  9. Thanks for all your comments guys,, firstly the stupid plate was purchased from just japs, it fitted fine.. but i think it was generic one and didn't fit probally..i should have took it for a drive to check it out first before going long distance but it was sunday and i was rushing before the freaking gym closes.. Got me self some motul 4100 and filled her up last night.. took about 4 litres (accounting for the oil lost when i took the plate off).. engine started fine, no weird noise or no anything like that so should be ok but will take her to the mechanic to check on the weekend.. I reckon i properly lost about 20,000Ks of life. oh well.. you learn to be more careful next time..
  10. Guess i am in the market for a new engine soon. maybe a good opportunity to upgrade to something more powerful.. oil pressure was still up to around 1/4 of the gauge and when i took the oil filter out it was full so hopefully wasn't too bad.. see how much i lost when i fill up tonight..
  11. I was fitting an oil temp gauge on the weekend. Used the sandwich plate from just japs (to attach the sender). fitted fine.. drove to the gym about 20Ks away and back not realising that the oil was spilling everywhere. by the time i got home there were no oil left and the engine was getting quite hot... have i fark the engine? btw what do you guys normally do when installing an oil temp gauge?
  12. Can you clear things up for me? i bought the package which arrives quite fast so thanks however i got a mechanical boost gauge not the electrical guage like you stated. is that right?
  13. Thanks Dude, will bleed the clutch this weekend to try to fix the problem.. another problem though..how do i bleed the thing.. I guess another hour on SAU looking for the how-to post.. hopefully that will fix it..because i gearbox is giving me the shite at the moment..
  14. Ok.. got the clutch for a few months now..but haven't been driving much 'cos i catch the freaking tram to work (CBD no parking) the most boring part of my day!!!. anyway.. i am sort of glad that most of you reckon the clutch fews soft..which kinda rule out the malfunction question. I went back to the guys that fitted it, they adjusted the clutch, got a bit harder but still very light.. changing gear is getting very hard, especially 2nd.. have to wait for the rev to drop all the way down before i can hit 2nd..it fews like the clutch does disengage properly.. i put in redline oil like what most of you guys here says one should do..but gear change is still shite!.. the people that put the clutch in..have no idea why..aparently master cylinder is still good.. internal problems? what does the spigot bush do? because they didn't change that.. could that be the problem.. can you guy recommend a good gearbox specialist..?
  15. Thanks for the advice guys. going to get myself some of those.
  16. Hi. OK... i drive a series 2 33. The Handling is a bit heavy.. i want to improve the handling, make it handles like it's on rail..sort of speak... what do i need to do? My car is already lowered with japs adjustable shocks.. it's very hard.. i probally will need a front struc bar (got one at the back).. where do i get one? anyone got one laying around that they want to sell? but what else do i need.. appreciate your help.. thanks on a different topic.. my car was dyno at 164KW ( or $174KW can't remember) at the wheel with only mod being 3in full exhaust with split dump and hi flow air filter (stock box)..the power curve is very smooth.. which i though is abit strange.. is that the sort of power for this kind of mod? or is the dyno machine stuffed?
  17. Hi How much for your power + hand controller? and be reasonable...
  18. Hi Guys, Just put the exedy CUSHIONED BUTTON SPORTS CLUTCH. This seem soft to me.. i expected it to be a bit harder.. does anyone else have this in their car and what is your opion of it?

  23. Akeenan you sound like 50 year old ex traffic cop.. can anyone here honestly put their hand up and say they never went over the limit by at least a few ks now and then.. some are just luckier than other not to get caught.. 63 in a 60 zone is hardly doing the wrong thing.. hooning at 100K in a school zone ... now that's doing the wrong thing ps.. no i didn't see the sign otherwise i wouldn't have done it would i!..
  24. just a thought, maybe it doesn't work in some cars is because your solenoid is stuffed?.. so it is closed all the time no matter what you do it it?
