    Jobs In Japan?

My apologies, getting used to spelling things for the sake of my fingers (f'ing text messages). And I teach english in a junior high school! Suckers! what do I know about it, I'm a scientist!
  2. An otherwise very inteligent studeent in the voice room (a room withlots of students and one teacher) at nova when i worked there said he had wanted to rape one of his class mates at uni infront of all the english student(many women) and staff. no one could believe it! Surfice to say none of the student would talk to him after that and even gave him dirty looks which is very outgoing for a japanese house wife.
  3. Different story to what the b@#ch told me on the phone and through various emails when I spoke to here on comencing import some time ago. My mistake.
  4. Went to niagata recently and gotta say this year there was just as much powder there as there was in niseko last year. Infact they had to close some of the black runs and I got burried in deep, deep powder and it took me half an hour to dig my way out so id probably say more powder than hokaido last year. Going again this weekend! たのしめ PS I am at work now and have nothing to do but add comments to this forum, as ive done my 2 classes today, smoked some cigarettes read the paper and done all my emails already. free time is: Beer, snowboard, chu-hi, pool, Auctions, "girlfriend time", beach, windsurfing (also called "watch the dead fish flaoting by" or "challenge to stay on the stick of salvation or risk the crazzy skin conditions and possible hair loss") taco-yaki eating
  5. Not a good idea to try and beat down a salery man in his own country. cops will always be on his side and you'll be f#"cked. Another good one, went to the beach last summer and saw this dude with a camera with a lense about a foot long walking up to chicks, asking to take there phot then blatently pointing it down there cleavage, and repeat proceedure. Then i look up to see this guy sitting with a video camera next to him and his arm moving vigerously. I thought to myself"no way, couldnt be" then these chicks walk past infront of him, look down and freak out (in a very subtle japanese way) next thing you know he's bolting down the beach with the cops chasing him. Then they came back and got statements.

    Jobs In Japan?

Coming to the end of my two year stint here in osaka i can definitely agree teaching english is not a career move, but an interesting experience, and could be good to get out of a rut. Just wanted to make a comment on chick thing. The main problem people have with japanese chicks is alot of them are 30 going on 13, i say this only in terms their relationship with there partents (curfew, who they can\cant see (foregner phobia?) ask for permission to do anything) this is very much a generalisation but has ended many a friends relationship with an otherwise cool chick. recommendation: sus out the parent-child relationship first. That being said if you came and things did'nt work there are plenty of chicks here who are cool and want foreign boyfriends. Occasionally you see a really ugly looking foreigner walking down the streets looking very impressed with himself cos he has a half decent bird and back home no one would look at him and he has no friends, beware japan is full of these types. It is not true there is no respect, half the time your treated like movie stars and chicks ask you for your number. Job wise, sorry mate, no japanese, nothing but teaching english for you! ganbate!
  7. The biggest cost over looked so far is the fact that to own a car in japan you have to have a place to park it. If i bought a car and tried to park it where i live it would cost me 50,000 yen 600 dollars a month. you have to have the car in your name for 12 months so do the math. Its important you find somewhere cheap to live if you want a car (japanese suburbia, YUK!). The law on gas does not change under different car import regulations as it is an environmental law covering any import of banned gas be it a car or a fridge. A r34 sould have newer acceptable gas however. The tax is 10% gst + 15% duty on the purchase price, as evident on your reciept. Shaken is also potentially expensive if it needs to be renewed while you own the car. This is a bi-annual (ever 2 years) inspection of your car that usually costs around 2000 to 2500 dollars. If you come to osaka I can help you buy and ship the car, everything this side covered for 50,000 yen (austion fees customs transport deregisteration etc) but you will have to park and maintain it for a year, take into account those costs plus 1000 dollars shipping plus whatever your customs agent screws out of you in australia (you can potentially do it your self but alot of reserch involved and talking to retards in burocracy who have no idea what there job is.) tax and a the price of registration in your state. and thats about it. As an example of the great job that customs agent do in australia, they forgot to tell me two of my cars had arrived and then tried to blame it on me that they'd been sitting at the port for 2 week and hit me with the storage fees which were outragous. In japan it cost me about 2 dollars a day to keep them stored waiting to be shipped and in aus it was about 60 dollars a day. (Acording to the agent) Go figure
  8. Hello please help! id: 70mm od: 14mm turns: 8.4 I got these as in japan at the moment, this is the front spring, didnt get a brand but now a little suspcious that the bottom of the shock was cut and a new mount welded on. the holes to bolt to the suspension are not exactly inline with the shaft by sight maybe 2-3mm out, thought this might put stress on the shaft and/or oil seals, what do you think? they look new and are suposed to be new accept the weld and bottom mount which looks doggy. Other thing is the rear is 10 times ajustable and the front is 16 !? they were advertised as 10. Weird i think. any coment apreciated. Ps I think most people can apreciate there is always a factor of error but close enough dont you think, or is everyone a F1 driver?
  9. Ill be moving to perth soon and though i have some contacts to get it done here thought i might save my money till i have a new job. Has anyone had any good experiences and good value? Need the clear on the bonet boot and roof taken of and resprayed. cheers
  10. The Pfc f-con is before the f-conv. you can get a thing called a HKS gcc to plug into it to further control fuel over the rev range. Stick HKS gcc in a google search. From what i understand of this one (the pfc) it blocks a few unwanted signals from the standard computer and increases fuel plus changes timing for increased boost specifically programed for that model of car. the gcc gives an element of customisation but is not so difficult to use, dont know where it plugs into but they are advetised a bit. if you have a a\f meter and understand how a computer works you can do teh fine tune yourself it a general interpolated ajustment to teh fuel curve between seven points on the rev range simular to the fuel ajustment function on the preprogramed microtech, but with more interpolation, some people only spin second and third hand info (not helpful guys!). saw some sites where rally cars were using them and were impressed. They are also still popular here in japan. Still cant find info on the f-con v ! (not pro!!!)
  11. It says on the front of it fuel and ignition timing computer
  12. I havent looked at the report youve posted but depending on the auction house the letter stands for the damage type ie a=scratch b=dent and the number = severity. I got to auctions here in Osaka and R can mean damaged repaired or it can mean raced, as i say different auction house have different values and a 3 at one auction can be a 4 in another.
  13. looking to buy an f-conv (not pro). im in Japan at the moment but i cant find anything about them. the guy who is selling it says its easy to tune but i dont know if it needs software(like the pro) or what the perameters are or what functions it has. its cheap and it is pre programed for my gts4 so im really keen to find out more. it comes with a book which i shouldnt have any troubles getting translated, but soft ware? hand set? minimal japanese cant ask these questions! any help apreciated.
