  2. Why won't it work for me? Using mozilla.... got another user on same pc, also using mozilla, and it works fine..... The drop down box drops down, but it appears empty. Ideas?
  3. the power? Stock NA 31 has more power than a stock NA 33
  4. Somebody didn't read before posting
  5. As has been previously stated, statistics only say what people want them to say. The majority of road users have never undertaken additional training once they have obtained their licence. So statistically speaking, people who have done a driving course are less likely to be attacked by a shark, less likely to be wake up and find a goanna in their bed, and less likely to die on the roads, simply because there are less of them.
  6. It's not very hard to smoke an RB20E
  7. First car I owned was a Bluebird, L20 with some headwork, tuff little car All I was saying, is that perhaps your brother should keep his thoughts to himself instead of attempting to belittle people about what they drive, especially considering that he doesn't even have a licence yet, let alone a car. .....but I can see where he gets it from, because it seems you also want to play the "holier than thou" game. On the upside, at least you had the sense to buy something with a Nissan motor in it for your first car. Yeah.. those RB20E's are a real powerhouse.
  8. Is the clear coat crap from a spray can, or are you doing it properly? Are you sure that whatever you purchased was gloss? Some clear coats are sensitive to the type of thinners they're mixed with and if you use the wrong one it can cause problems. Have you cut/polished it yet?
  9. I thought school holidays were over? Maybe when you've learned how to drive, and purchased a car of your own, you should come and post it up here so everyone can tell you how crap it is.
  10. If it was safe, there would be no reason for it to be illegal. If someone is too tight/stupid to take it to a track, where else are they going to play with it? I know I certainly don't want to have some idiot playing with nitrous while they're driving next to me. ...especially if it's the first time they've played with it, simply because they won't know what to expect from it. I don't for an instant believe that anyone who is silly enough to use it on the street would have the ability to do so in a 'safe' manner. Add into the equation fun things like nitrous backfires, DIY installations, and who could forget the genius who connected his bottle heater to a constant 12v and went off and forgot about it? Not much different to leaving a car sitting in the hot Australian sun. Anyhoo, with the mods listed above, I didn't see x_pac28 mention which fuel pump was being used? Formula to figure out usage: 0.8 lbs N2O X 10 seconds = 100HP eg: If the system is jetted for 100HP it will use 0.8 lbs of nitrous for every 10 seconds of usage. ...and a reminder of why this is not a toy.
  11. Just because a car has more power than it needs to get up to the speed limit, doesn't mean that the owners have to drive it like they stole it. There are plenty of high powered cars on the road, most of which are driven sensibly. Something as unpredictable as N2O isn't safe/suitable for road use in any situation.
  12. Thread cleaned up. Next person to whore it cops a warn
  13. Interesting, I thought it would be physically impossible for flutter to pitch 'up'. Got any examples? I'd be ultra keen to hear any flutter 'pitch up'. please.
  14. huh? I was simply stating that to make a negative comment about something, then to go and say "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" is a bit of a double standard. ...and speaking english has nothing to do with making assumptions about someones sexuality.
  15. No, not any aftermarket wheel will do. Thread starter lives in VIC according to profile. If it's replaced with something like the one WazR32GTSt posted up, the vehicle will get defected the first time it's pulled over. That may be legal in some states, but not here. Some info from VicRoads: Replacement steering wheels must be not less than 330mm in diameter. If the original steering wheel was designed with a recessed or padded hub, the replacement wheel must be of similar design.
  16. ...and the "hypocrite of the day" award goes to.....
  17. 2,1.
  18. Not hard to get out of at all. Contest it. It's their word against yours. They send these out hoping that people will just pay them without question.
  19. R31 body kit info
  20. Perhaps they thought you were playing games with them, or maybe they were too scared to stop because someone had been weaving in and out of traffic following them? Maybe they didn't realise they'd hit anything? Maybe they realised they hit it, but are allergic to cats and getting out to check the condition of the animal could have resulted in the driver needing an ambulance due to anaphylaxis? For all you know they may have gone straight to a Police station to report the incident. Regardless, it was only a cat, and it shouldn't have been on the road. No animals should be left to roam free, especially animals which are predators and prey on local birds and wildlife.
  21. I love the way the media milk statistics to suit their needs. According to the TAC crash database, this year Victoria has seen a 200% increase in the amount of road deaths for the the 16 to 17 year age group.
  22. To all the people who are having issues with the vehicle being called a sedan.... It's being called a sedan because it is. (Well... it was) The term "sedan" relates to any enclosed vehicle with 2 or 4 doors.
  23. I just went through there and took out all the links
  24. Damn..... i thought i spoke this language. My interpretation was: "I have some information which i would like to add to the tutorial/DIY section, and i'm not sure where i should post it so that it can be moved in there" (i think?)
  25. If there wasn't enough money for insurance, there certainly won't be enough money to repair it. Almost every panel is dented, and the roof is squashed. Add to that the cost of new mirror/s, light surround, a full re-spray & replacement glass, plus fixing whatever damage was done to the suspension etc, a decent set of new tyres, and probably at least 1 new wheel... Plus all the other damage that can't be seen by looking at photos. The roof looks like its sitting a few inches lower than it should be. I agree with what Ronin says, going by the damage on the roof it doesn't look like it's safe to repair it, and if it was repaired it would never be the same again, and if it were to roll over again, any occupants would have very bad headaches (if they had heads left)
