  1. It's a bit late now... but they probably could have helped you out with a payment plan, and you could have at least had a cover note in the meantime until you'd paid in full. It's a bit of a stretch calling an NA 33 a "sports car".
  2. admin/mods are responsible for assessing forum content. If people own illegal software we can't stop them from using it. This is no different to: If people own a car with illegal modifications, we can't stop them from driving it. If they get caught, the onus is on the individual, and the forum is in no way at fault. Links to illegal downloads will be removed, the same way that discussion of any other illegal activies are removed. (However, the person who removed it should have sent you a PM stating why it was removed) SAu will not be your partner in crime.
  3. I was thinking of raising this again The Skyline discussion area has become flooded with threads about paint/panels/kits/bars etc, so it might be time to re-assess this. A lot of the threads which are popping up are things which have already been covered before, but because there's no specific section for it, the info is spread all over the place and nobody can find it with a search, so they're just starting new threads, which are beginning to dominate the area. When ye olde 'bodykit' section was removed, it wasn't really used or needed. However, there are thousands more people using the forum now than there were back then, and sometimes things need to be reviewed to suit the masses.
  4. err.... correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought it was a Kiwi car?
  5. If that was the case, it would mean that Duncan must keep a change of undies in his engine bay. Interesting concept, this one could catch on!
  6. I tried about 30 different ways to reply to this, and ended up backspacing all of them into oblivion. Hopefully he manages to pull through.. without any substantial brain damage.
  7. A couple of weeks ago a bunch of cars parked in the street got spray painted. I think it was in Doveton area? The cars were sprayed all over, windows and duco, with tags and squiggles and other crap. Makes your blood boil to read about it.
  8. Hopefully you learned something too. lol at "a good 10 to 15 minutes to steal a car" I couldn't even begin to count the amount of times that people "only left it for 5 minutes and when i came back it was gone". Assuming that your car is safe simply because you're within 10 minutes walking distance is rather silly. ^also very ill informed. I've tested this one first hand. People DO NOT pay attention to car alarms. If anything, people are more likely to NOT look in the direction of the alarm, out of fear that they will see someone or something that which could cause hassles for them somewhere down the line. If you see/hear someones alarm going off, are you going to walk over and ask the person who has set the alarm off if they own the car or if they are stealing it? If you don't ask the person, how do you know they're stealing it? If you report it as a theft in progress without getting the facts first, and it turns out to be the owner who set the alarm off, it's a big waste of Police effort/resources/time, and you could possibly be charged with providing misleading information. On the other hand, if the vehicle IS being stolen, and you confront the person asking if they're the owner, there's a good chance you'll get your skull caved in. My skull is more important to me than someone elses car.
  9. A fashionable alternative to a screwdriver in the ear, is a set of ear-muffs with a straightened coat hanger held to the outer of one of the ear cups. P.S, I'm sick of the gnomes getting a bad rap, so it's good to hear that no gnomes were involved with the destruction of this turbo.
  10. YAY for the teddies!
  11. Are you able to run 3k's in less time than it takes to steal a car? ^ This is the point i was attempting to make. A pager is only any good if you're pretty much standing right next to the car, otherwise it will already be gone by the time you get to it.
  12. Got "family guy" game on pre-order *rubs hands together* It's about time they got around to doing this one!
  13. one or the other, absolutely. no need to do both.
  14. It doesn't take long for someone (who knows what they're doing) to steal a car. A pager might be fine if you're sitting at home 20 paces away from the car, but in most instances the car would be gone before you could get back to it, providing that the chosen method of theft even sets the alarm off.
  15. That white car did a superb job of avoiding the dude who lost it next to him. The VW (think it's a vw?) one just looked comical... like something from Mr.Bean. The road looks very wet in all images from that camera. At least they've got the crash barrier in the right spot. *as there are a few videos in this thread now, the above comments were in relation to the one that JUNR34 linked to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1udsG3LUUg
  16. That won't help if they stick it on the back of a truck
  17. You said it was for an RB25DE..... ? Where's the boost coming from? Regardless, it should work fine, it's designed for turbo cars.
  18. Really? Their home page is titled "GPS Vehicle Tracking" Seems a bit misleading if that's the case.
  19. http://www.quiktrak.com.au/ Some insurance companies will lower the premium a bit if you have extra security devices installed.
  20. If this is club awards, shouldn't it be restricted so that only members can nominate/be nominated? It's unlikely that people would be aware of certain goings on if they're not a member, and it doesn't really seem fair that people pay to become a member if awards can be handed out by/to any forum user?
  21. Sounds like someone wanted their undies back.
  22. cobra one was funny as, but about 2.5 minutes too long. That's insane.... I take it they don't know how to re-surface roads over there. The bus.. just... WHAT THE? Once he'd lost it, he didn't appear to try and slow down... i started to think that maybe he continued accelerating once the back end swung out, in an attempt to straighten it up or something.. whatever he did, it obviously didn't work.
