  1. Kam..... the Passage came with a whole rainbow of interior colours. Not just blue
  2. For those who cbf searching, http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=10035 Not sure I'd be keen on jacking the car up from the point shown in pic 4 though.
  3. That's probably because like some of the posters above, you're assuming that if it's a 4 door import, it's a Passage. It's badged as a GTS. It doesn't have the plush velour interior. The front seats are the wrong shape, and also the wrong colour, and the wrong fabric... Passage simply didn't have an interior that looks like that, and iirc the Passage has a centre arm rest in the rear (as per Ti) which is also absent. Steering wheel is not an original Passage item. ..... all of the above could have been changed by a previous owner, but it's not very likely. It would be like buying a GTR and removing everything that makes it a GTR, then selling it as a GTS.

Here's a little snippet from the front page of the local paper..... I'm a bit shocked that they only managed to issue 85 defect notices. There were about 6 Police cars doing laps on Dandenong Rd between Corrigan and Spag Junction, so those numbers mean that they only handed out about 3 defect notices (per patrol car) each day. Slackers.
  6. yep
  7. Yeah..... so could I.... when I had a broken diaphragm in my fuel pressure regulator. How the hell do you go through 15+ litres of fuel in 5 minutes?
  8. again, it's not a Passage. It doesn't have a Passage interior. It doesn't have Passage badging. All Passages are 4 door pillarless, but not all 4 door pillarless are Passages.
  9. It's not a Passage. Still too much though.
  10. You all know what I'm going to say....... Kenco Shift-It. You won't need anything else, stop wasting your time with Meguiars rubbish.
  11. I just tried a quick search in the gearbox/drivetrain section, and came across this thread which might help: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=111888 might as well check out this one too....... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=109101 Hope that helps
  12. You watch way too much american TV. No Australian Police force (including Feds) operate by the motto of "serve and protect"
  13. I'll take a stab in the dark and say thrust bearing

  15. errr... let me see if i got this straight.... ..... you're saying that you allowed a deranged drunk lunatic that you'd never met before, to get into the car with a mate in order to try and prove that the car could run a 1/4 mile in less than 9 seconds on the street, then you flag a Police car down? What did you expect them to do..... other than arrest your mate?
  16. bye bye thread. If you want to get involved in street racing, that's your business, but don't come on here creating threads about it. If you're interested in specs of particular vehicles, feel free to start a thread to that effect.
  17. New addition over the weekend.....
  18. Have a read of this... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=108728
  19. Good question dezz, it was a while ago now... I had to go digging to find this post in a thread about pressure washers. I should also mention that this post was from '04, and the Alto is still going strong So... you're looking at $100 for a base model, but I'm pretty sure they ranged right through to uber insane ones for around $1200. If you buy quality, and treat it well (don't leave the pump with water sitting in it) then you should get your moneys worth. I really can't be bothered going through my reciepts folder, but I think the one we got was around $200
  20. Of course you're not paying the same amount. If you're not using their foam brush, are you still going to pay for it? When using the brush, people try to do it as quickly as possible, to get the most from their money. If you use a bucket and sponge, you're not going to rush, because your time isn't going to "run out". You're sitting in their wash bays, taking up space that could be used by a customer who is actually using the facilities as (the company) intended, and by not using the products they supply, you're taking money out of their pockets. All the car washes I've been to in SE melb have signs stating no buckets/sponges Some even have pictures of buckets in a red circle with a line through it... for the "english impaired". ..and you certainly don't pay the same amount "no matter what", because there are a lot of different options available.. some people may just want to do a basic wash, others may want to go the whole hog and use the mag cleaner, and the wax etc. The cost relates to the amount of time you spend cleaning the car. You're charged by the minute, so the slower you move, and the more processes you do, the more it will cost you to wash the car.
  21. Common sense would tell most people to use the high pressure hose to rinse the brush before rubbing it on your car. Most car washes (local to me) won't allow you to BYO bucket and sponge, because it's taking money out of their pocket if you provide your own stuff. (Kinda like taking your own grog to a pub) Invest in a decent pressure washer. We picked up an ALTO brand high pressure unit from Bunnings. They're the only brand (i know of) which has full metal internals, and it kicks ass! In Vic you can also get rebates on any water saving devices that you purchase. If you don't want to fork out that sort of money, and you don't want to use the local "brush style" car wash, seek out a Laser Wash. There are plenty of them around, they work really well. I think $7 is about the going rate, and it cleans the underneath of the car as well.
  22. The normal amount of users were all showing as logged in at the time? scratch that..... i just realised it shows "user(s) active in the past 25 minutes"... not "currently online". So, if theres an admin who can take the forum offline, could that same admin possibly see their way to trying to fix this issue with "new posts"?
  23. Can anyone shed some light on this little mystery? ....if the forum is offline, how can i post?
  24. It appears to be a regular panel filter with bling attached? The back of it would have to be enclosed for it to work, so sticking it in front of the radiator won't do much good, you may be getting cold air to the intake, but that won't help when the car starts overheating because there is an obstruction in front of the radiator. : The rest of what I was going to say has already been said by Bunta & Wink.
  25. To the people in VIC, there is a big model/hobby show on at Sandown this Sunday. It combines the 11th Melbourne scale model enthusiasts fair, National Nostalgia Toyfest, and CollectaWorld Megafair. Theres a bunch of traders coming from interstate for this, so it should be worth a look! More info: Sunday April 9th 9am-4pm Gate 2, Sandown Racecourse Admission Adult $4, child $3, family $12
