  1. They're now known as Apexera, been covered in here a few times.
  2. Just a bump to remind people that this is on tonight In case you find this thread tomorrow and go "CRAP! I forgot!", it looks like they're re-running it on Sunday at 11:30pm
  3. that's how it's meant to work. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/fuel-gauge1.htm

geez archie... seriously uncool! i went to check out one of your pics and it was over 3 meg! I can't imagine how long it took for you to upload those 3 images at that size!
  5. That's an Avantek logo. http://www.murphystyrepower.com.au/content/avantek3.html
  6. Perhaps just a case of the lap belt falling down behind the seat?
  7. Download mIRC. Go to #skylinesaustralia on any Austnet server. On the main index page, just above "Board Statistics" I'd like to see this one come back too.
  8. i swear, i didn't raise my voice at anyone Go start a test thread if you don't believe me.... I don't know why you'd need to though..... I guess you just haven't noticed that every thread which has been started in the last few weeks Has Caps At The Start Of Each Word In The Thread Title?
  9. Im Not Going To Read Through All 7 Pages To See If Anyone Else Has Addressed This Already, But Why Does The Forum Automatically Turn The First Letter Of Every Word In A New Topic Into Capitals? Caps At The Start Of Every Word Is Very Annoying
  10. probably related to this one some how? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=108115
  11. I was under the impression that all windscreen glass has a very mild tint. Not on the glass (as per traditional "tinting") but in the glass, as part of its composition? ..thus causing a green/blue tinge when they smash, unlike regular glass which goes white when shattered.
  12. Gotta love discrimination... However, it's not the first time that the rules have been tailored to stroke the yobbo ego. Jap crap can't be seen to be showing up Aussie muscle.
  13. It's around 54mm I really don't expect to see any noticable power difference. Proof is in the pudding though... It probably won't be going on the car any time soon, I want to get the rest of the engine bay sorted out and cleaned up before the shiny bits go on. If it makes any difference to power, I'll report back.
  14. No idea about the RB25, but for those considering doing the mod to an RB30, the KA24 tb fits onto the RB30 with a lot less screwing around than the XF one. I've got one waiting to go on.... plenum is nicely port matched, but i doubt it will make any difference to power at all. The guts of it.....
  15. must be all those shoes.
  16. here, use my pen btw, threads merged.
  17. I'd own up to it and say it was me, but nobody would believe me anyway.... it's not like any self respecting person would be caught dead driving around in a fluoro orange 33.
  18. Well... my car isn't an import, but it's fairly unique. I've had reports that it has been spotted over the other side of the city while it's been sitting in the driveway. If anyone has seen this GTS1 mock up wagons twin roaming the streets of Melbourne, try and get pics of it! (Best indicator would be that mine has Ti mags, I doubt my "twin" would have the same wheels)
  19. Just because something isn't "condoned" doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
  20. One minute is within reason... I make sure that I can hear the lifters have quietened down so that I know oil is getting to where it's needed, but once that's accomplished, it's time to go. However, I wasn't questioning one minute, I was questioning 5+ minutes. As for the neighbour comment, I'm a victim of this.... a neighbour has an extremely loud (hunk of crap) car that they like to leave idling for up to half an hour at a time.
  21. That would go down really well..... what with all the speeding fines and defects handed out on cruises.
  22. Could the people who leave their cars to warm up for 5+ minutes explain to the rest of us why you feel it's neccessary? I tried to weigh up the pros and cons, and there doesn't seem to be much of an upside to allowing the car to warm up at idle. Cons 1/ It's a waste of fuel 2/ It's a waste of money 3/ Car takes longer to get to running temp when at idle 4/ It pisses the neighbours off 5/ Motors are designed to have air flowing through them while the car is moving forward. This doesn't happen when the car is sitting still. The air that is being sucked in to the motor is warm engine air... if anything, wouldn't this cause the temperature to rise faster than if you were driving, thus being more likely to cause damage to components which are prone to warping/heat damage? 6/ People figure that if the car has been "warmed up" that it's safe to thrash the crap out of it as soon as you get out of the driveway. Pros ??
