  1. Really yeh, good luck to you. If you can get them for that price from the Australian distributor with warranty you let me know, i might buy a few of him to.
  2. Killa so what model subs and amps did u get and how much did ya pay?
  3. DD Stuff WOOOO . Where did you acquire such high quality equipment, and where are you located .
  4. Fair enuff, however the alarm boxes bought locally, come with a huge DISCLAIMER. REMOTE START IS ILLEGAL FOR USE IN AUSTRALIA .
  5. Nightcrawler i dont want to get into an argument with you. I own a business therefore i am pretty sure i am aware of the legislation and legalities with alarm security systems. Arguing with me wont make REMOTE START LEGAL full stop. Its not up to me its up to the authorities, i am simply stating what is stamped on top of the product boxes.
  6. Oh and remote start is illegal in Australia. It comes stamped on the box if you buy a product thru the proper channels.
  7. Yes Nightcrawler you can, but if you knew how a relay works when its NORMALLY OPEN it will suck a fair amount of juice from the battery to keep the circuit going. I remember years ago i did a couple with 3 relays on board that needed to be energised at all time to be OPEN CIRCUIT, and guess what the next morning the battery was DEAD. Hence why i choose alarms with built in relays because they draw less current. Each to their own i guess.
  8. Its not so much the engine, its the wear and tear on the chassis and the number of kilometres it has done.
  9. Welcome to like 10 years ago guys. What none of you knew that almost every single import has their clocks wound back? A current affair decided to make example of one car yard when actually its almost ALL of them that do it. The only way to guarantee unwound clocks, and thats to import yourself and comply via someone you know.
  10. Viper is only single point not dual and it has remote start which is illegal. So really its up to you guys, which way you want to go with alarms. At the end of the a Viper at $380 plus $180 fitting is still $560 for an alarm with no real local warranty. For $500 installed you can get an Autowatch 160Rli with black wired, AUS and NZ Standards approved, twin immobiliser built in, large battery back up siren, doors, boot and bonnet protection and also a dual stage shock sensor. Alarm comes with 2 year warranty on the product, and lifetime on the installation. You guys make up your mind which way you want to go.
  11. Yes John Phillips is his name. The reason im cynical MADAZ is because i have done one and dont ever want to see another one here again. Viper doesnt offer much in the way security but really more so wank features. Its got LCD and remote start. Its non AUS Standards approved and it isnt insurance approved, (Single immobiliser via an external relay). If thats the way you want to go thats fine, but im sure Chris Rogers who does alarms day in and day out Brisbane, who is also a member here will tell you the same thing. But yeah John Phillips is definitely a good bloke if you see him tell him George from Adelaide Pro Sound said hallo.
  12. Oh please dont go to EBAY to buy a VIPER. Just do a search on here we have discussed this before. They are B stock and they require a specialised programmer to set them up. $180 wont even cover me opening the package and reading the instructions, im sorry to say. Alarms have to be fitted properly because they can kill you or someone else if they malfunction.
  13. Who is VT Systems? Are they a proper installation bay and car audio store with a website or what?
  14. Yeah who quoted that? Because thats a damn good price especially with a custom boot.
  15. Rainbow speakers start from as low as $150 for coaxials and around $250 for splits. I dont know why they arent affordable considering Morels are around $600 for the Hybrid Ovation.
  16. Well i use it and have demonstrated the differences time and time again. So i dont mean to sound arrogant but perhaps he was using it to STOP RATTLES not to REDUCE ROAD NOISE. Dynamat is proven all over the world as being worth its weight in gold, and is being used by every single high end installation expert and SQ nut. Lets agree to disagree, but when applied correctly and utilised properly Dynamat does a LOT.
  17. Dynamat is not made to reduce rattles, unless you use the one thats specifically designed to reduce rattles. I would tell your installer mate to go back to school and have a few more lessons in dynamat and reduction of road noise. Also EXPANDER FOAM do you even begin to understand the catastrophis results EXPANDER FOAM will have on your panels when it starts expanding? Its been known to warp the cars panels. George
  18. No Chris the first one is a Purple Supra 1995 NA model, mine is a 2000 Silver Twin turbo model. I will be doing somthing a little more exotic on mine not just a simple job like the Purple one. George
  19. Here is some of the simple ones i have done. There is an R33 Skyline the one with the 2 inverted subs and row of amps.
  20. Whateva price you paid from ebay, you can get it the same locally. Dynaxorb retails for $49. George
  21. Yerp and since its your car, then they are the best brands for your ears. Good luck with it. George
  22. I have 5 of them hanging on my display wall, and it woulda cost you cheaper to get them from me then to pay freight from ebay.
  23. Qualified mechanics work on my engine, noone qualified them to work on my car audio equipment . Hahahahahah only joking dude. Are both amps running from the same power wire and fuse? If it was me i would first check whether you got a good power and earth on the amp and also that the remote wire is all good. Its strange your first amp stopped working the second wont power up. If you got separate power cables for your 4 channel and class D i would check the fuse under the bonnet for the 4 channel. George Adelaide Pro Sound
  24. Definitely not by far considering their TYPE X range is actually made by SCANSPEAK so its just ALPINE branded, and there are other speaker manufacturers which you have never even heard off that make some of the worlds best handmade speakers to suit certain listening environments. Every speaker is different and so are the cars you are putting them into. Every car has a different transient response, different incar cabin gain different resonant frequency, all these things take effect when installing speakers in cars. Respectfully there is NO BEST BRAND SPEAKER. It all comes down to WHO installed the speaker HOW its installed and HOW its tuned and also SPEAKER PLACEMENT is very very important. So your every day JO BLO who whacks a pair of splits in the car without sealing them off correctly, and all of a sudden gains up the amp and thinks its FULLY SICK ULEH ALPINE IS THE SHIT. But really if i sit down in that car it would sound like ass, becuase the staging and imaging would be NON existent the midbass presence would be muddy and very weak, simply because of a slap in job which 99.9% of your chain car audio stores do and most DIY guys. I can guarantee you i can make a $100 set of Sony splits sound better than a slap in job on a $900 ALPINE TYPE X's. I have proved it in one of my cars, because i have a set of Sony 3 ways just for my old man to drive around in, and these things hammer better than most standard fitted splits. Still Alpine is by far one of the best MAINSTREAM brand speaker manufacturer due to the fact they have someone like ScanSpeak on board building their speakers. George
