  1. A few not just one. Only their woofers are American made.
  2. Your forgetting Ultravox Megavox Fully sick vox Cheap Vox and anything else with a VOX behind it
  3. Ultra cheep, either they are second hand or FAKE if your buying off EBAY. Morel is a high end brand, and generally the saying goes, if its too good to be true it normally is. George
  4. SAU Mr Mobile Fidelity, stands for Skylines AUstralia . George
  5. Just pay a car audio joint over $100 and they will sort out your issue correctly fused and all wiring soldered and correctly insulated. You have wasted so much time now and noone on a forum can teach you how to install headunit. Id be getting it done properly with a warranty on labour if anything goes wrong your covered.
  6. Sound quality is HEAPS better with splits Correct. How much are you looking to spend, do you want some advice on quality brands ? What price are you looking to spend? Where are you located so we can recomend some good dealers to go to. George
  7. Dont forget to add, that deadening the inner skin, separates the back speaker movement sound waves from the front there fore eliminating mid cancellation, and improving midbass ten fold . The Dynaxorb diffuser mats have specific ridges which disperse the backwaves and stop them from bouncing back onto the speaker cone, therefore improving power handling and less distortion. 8. Neverthless. I own stores one is on its own and the other is part of a 20 store franchise. We pay up to and over $100k worth of rent per store every year. You work from home. Then you get onto forums like this and tell people your cheaper and brag about it. If i was running my shop from my garage and not paying any rent and other expenses i would be much cheaper on Pioneer. As i stated you are importing from other countries on Pioneer Australias turf and also playing ball with the local retail businesses. In turn you are ruining the Australian car audio industry. At the end of the day businesses need to make money and untill your customers get into my shoes and see thousands of dollars flying out on expenses from their account, they simply wont understand the difference between you and myself. Without profit businesses cannot survive. It would be nice if i took up direct importing and put $5 on every product and then ass raped your prices. WOULD YOU LIKE IT. NO obviously not.
  9. Ok well with local warranty the shops take care of the freight, IT IS NOT PAID BY THE CUSTOMER. So really your prices are not that competitive.
  10. Do you pay for the FREIGHT back to your place in order to get a replacement or the customer?
  11. That was the biggest load of crap i have ever heard? Who are these VT Systems, how come i have never seen them on the DB Drag circuit. I have seen and witnessed Tony Dorans achievements, and these so called SPL record breaking subs who are they? Where did they come from, what they got magic fairy dust built in. God some of the comments i see on these forums are absolutely amazing. Whats the need for car audio websites anyway. Go into a store and you will be pleasantly surprised car audio is now well priced compared to Ebay and other internet stores.
  12. Yerp no local warranty. And i can guarantee that i can find products cheaper locally then buying from AuAudio.
  13. I own two shops, one is my nick and the other is part of a 20 store franchise. We deal with Pioneer on a daily basis and let me tell you JB HIFI are not the cheapest. You get crap service, staff with no knowledge and if something goes wrong youll be waiting for years to get your stuff sorted under warranty. JB HIFI are basically here to destroy every industry they can. Whats worse people actually beleive their jingle as being the cheapest. Im actually glad for JB HIFI in Adelaide, because they have one installer between 4 stores and even that installer is only capable of half installing a headunit. GO JB GO.
  14. JB are cheapest on what? Toys not car audio. They sell plastic junk. The mainstream products they have, are by far not the cheapest.
  15. How much you paying for that Clarion headunit and ill tell you if your getting a decent discount. Mind you that headunit is HOT, my demo car has one in it.
  16. Yes we had a problem with Howies Viper which he bought from these bulk buyers. Those alarms are not clear with their instructions, it is the same problem by the looks of things that we had on Howies 34. It seems to be an alarm related problem not really an installer problem. I personally as a business owner have no time to waste on these products, as Chris was already coming down to Adelaide for Autosalon I left it for him to sort as he has had more experience with these alarms. Oh Autobarn is a Viper dealer so if they cant sort the problem out how is anyone else sposed to? George Adelaide Pro Sound
  17. Discounts thru Clarion, hmm that sounds nice. I didnt know they dealt with the public direct.
  18. I dont know I have fitted one and it didnt come back, it also didnt take 4 days to fit . So judging by the one its 100% good no problems. George Adelaide Pro Sound
  19. Dont go touching anything yourself. Go back to the place where you go it installed and claim your installation warranty. George Adelaide Pro Sound
  20. I am simply stating, that as easy as it sounds to you it is not easy when you start mucking around with a manufactured product, it voids warranty. Id be willing to have a go but i want $85 an hour labour rates. As i stated and Howie knows this very well that it was a simple installation instruction error which needed three installers to sort out due to the fact that i dont install Viper alarms. In the end it got sorted but it cost me three days worth of labour. The Viper will never ever in my book offer the same amount of security as an Autowatch, you are talking an asian made alarm against an alarm tested in a military base in SOUTH AFRICA which has the highest security standards in the world. A Viper simply offers more wank features to attract customers. Going from coloured wires to Black wires on a Viper will not make it a better alarm, this is what Chris tried to explain. 21. Research away my friend . Perhaps the best place to ask would be the European car audio forums . George Adelaide Pro Sound
  22. I think ill be the most qualified to answer that question considering i have installed and listened to the entire Rainbow range up to the Power series. I have also installed and auditioned their complete range of woofers. If i didnt think they got the goods, why would i spend $30k on a TT Supra and decide to order full RAINBOW set up consisting of splits and subwoofers, run of Sinfoni amplifiers and pay out of my own pocket. Normally i would have accepted the free equipment which was offered to me from various distributors but i choose to pay for class. There are strict commercial agreements that us dealers have with the distributors thats why there is a dealer in every state and there will be no INTERNET SALES. Trav the quality of Rainbow is well known and the distributor only wants one dealer per state that can actually install and support the product. George Adelaide Pro Sound
  23. Trav33 Do you simply understand the magnitude of what you are asking? You are expecting an installer from Autobarn or Tonkins to re engineer an alarm which has already been built in a factory with certain connections and then you want trouble free usage. We all have visions of grandeur but whether or not it can be executed is a different thing alltogether. At the end of day, I can do what you want but are you willing to pay me $85 an hour labour for as long as it takes to achieve this result? If you dont want to pay someone why not try it yourself and then see if it is as easy as you think. I mean if i were to come to you and ask you can you give me a computer which will vacuum my house, mow my lawns and wash dishes would you be able to do it? I mean its easy why cant you just run different wires into different plugs and get it to do what i want? There has gotta be a way only because i thought of it. Dont mean to be rude but car audio retailers DONT MAKE THE ALARMS they sell and install only. George Adelaide Pro Sound
  24. As suggested above main culprit can be the noise supressor on the alternator which is non existent. RCA's to close together these days they are well shielded so this is the most unlikely possibility. Could be the earth. But it can also be the earth tracks on the Headunit which are blown due to inadequate earthing of the amplifier. If the earth is not adequate the amplifier will try to find a ground closest to itself and this is normally the tiny earth shield or outer core of the RCA cable which can only handle about 2 amps of return current. This blows the tiny tracks in the headunit so the noise is induced in the form of engine noise. George
