  1. Hahahahahah i told you there was no fight . That van is a downright friggin beast Vernon . Good luck chasing that record mate, no doubt you will get it with such a well built van.
  2. Ill stay out of it. Not looking for a fight, just clarifying a few things.
  3. You didnt upset me, not even the slightest. Yes it might be for this season, but it still hasnt hit above the SS3-4 record. And i am not doubting your facts. I am a record holder myself. I would be seriously pissed off if someone tried to claim they were louder than me when really they are way off. Being the loudest existing car for the season is great and i am very happy that you are pushing the boundries of your class. As i stated perhaps the topic needs to be changed to AUSTRALIAS LOUDEST CAR for the 2007 SEASON IN ITS CLASS. Overall loudest is still 164.8 and the record stands at that point in SS3-4. And keep going mate, impressive impressive machine that car of yours is. I have no doubt that you will reach your goal eventually. Good luck
  4. I didnt realise i was upset . There is that better .
  5. Records dont get reset. Current record stands at 164.8db. Vernon and VT Systems are currently loudest for this year. Please post about records when they reach 164.9db thank you.
  6. From what i can tell VT Systems car is currently around the 161 db mark. The Australian overall record is 164.8db. Untill that number is reached or exceeded the record still remains in Queensland with John Wong. Unless i am not up to date and the car has already hit around 165 in a DB Drag sanctioned event.
  7. Custom boot installations done by a real professional have no SCREW HOLES in any part of the metal of the car. But not everyone is going to expose their trade secrets on how to do it properly. Backyarders who dont understand why professionals charge money for boot installs have devised the PANEL AND SCREW idea and then they boast about how they did the same job for next to nuthing. I can do a boot install in any car with no damage to any metal part. If u dont mind rust then do the usual bracket and screw idea it works for a lot of DIY guys.
  8. Thats cool man, i was joking anyway .
  9. Well perhaps its easier if u have the amp and then worry about flush fitting. Because even though i give u the depth dimensions now it can still be way off to do it before u have it.
  10. Ok length is 450mm, and the width is 270mm. Good luck .
  11. Oh and Trav I can always make time if u need something done.
  12. Nupe i will be speaking to the distributor to get me some of the latest Tru amps actually Trav . And the Supra will be getting started a lot sooner than i thought. Yeh good one Marty, take a bloody stab at me will ya aye .
  13. Cleutin u were right on the money there . Trav as i said that amp retails at $1499. I am giving it to you for a $1000. Thats a darn good price to start with. And TRU TECH i will stand by what i said, trust a specialist that knows what he is talking about . I was right about Rainbow, lets see if i can get 2 out of 2 .
  14. and the worst for installations.
  15. Whats with this word CHEAP? Car audio shops dont work for nothing. They have an hourly rate of $85 an hour to stick at least otherwise their business wont survive. Something to think about if you want a better job than what you currently have in your car.
  16. You cant use the Ipod unless they supply the Ipod cable. You are better off buying local with warranty and everything will work fine.
  17. Yeh go see Marty he likes to work for free . Hahhahahaaha im joking Marty . But yeah SIDDR20 your up for a new CD player if thats the case.
  18. Trav when obtaining quotes on alarms, its best to speak to the store in question. I cannot quote pricing on this forum due to the fact i am not a sponsor.
  19. The dual stage microwave sensors are no longer available thru Autowatch, however we do use a Dynamco one with no problems. The 288 RLI has now been discontinued, as remote start is illegal in Australia and the company doesnt wanna carry the burden of incorrectly installed Autowatch remote start alarms. An ultrasonics sensor doesnt get hidden away, the control module does yes, but the two little eyelets which emit the ultrasonic beam have to go somewhere around the A pillar area facing towards the rear of the vehicle. Also I have been fitting Autowatch for years now, and have never had an issue with the antenna on the module, nor have i had a problem with a remote. Thats not to say that it wont happen because no product is faultless, but it hasnt happened up to now. All sirens have to be 120db rated any louder and it is not legal to have in your car. The only siren you can use with the 456 is the keyless digital battery back up siren. The 160RLI has a slightly bigger siren but the volume is pretty much similar.
  20. What have i got to do with Pioneer speakers?
  21. Cos this guy thinks he is cool telling everyone he can get cheap stuff. But what he doesnt realise, Chris and I both own shops and we have access to the stuff. Hey guess what Pauly i can get stuff cheaper than you, so instead of buying over the net how about come get it local ill match any price FHRX can dish out.
  22. You wont get anyone decent to install an ebay alarm. Noone wants to deal with the aftermath of a B Grade product.
  23. And i guess your friend does them with a jigsaw and a pair of screwdrivers in his backyard . Or maybe he comes to peoples places to do them, you know a week or so stayover .
  24. Whoops sorry i reckon ill have to get to know someone as well .
  25. Im not doubting you, its just that the distributor sells to the public direct at pretty much wholesale rates. If anybody is selling them cheaper, well id be asking WHAT THE HELL, considering they went from $1200 retail to $535 and now ur saying ur getting them for $400+.
