  1. i would only compare the evo 8 to the v35. the looks of the evo7 dont appeal to me personally, but Ive driven one and I cant see how they would be such a bad daily as most above have claimed? Suspensions great, steering is very precise, and from what i remember, jdm ones came with an anti-lag system. this would only mean the 8s better right? the v35 styling is amazing though; luxurious interior and you have to love that jdm exterior. performance wise, well, you'd have to do more to it to be able to keep up with a stock evo. I would have thought the v35 drank more petrol than the evo? but at the end of the day, v35 coupe hands down. deriq
  2. just make sure you buy one in that wasn't highly modified and detuned. you should be able to tell if anything's been fiddled with in the engine bay eg. nuts and bolts are a little rounded, front bar was chopped a bit to make room for fmic.. also, what i found from experience with looking into imports was seeing if there was a fair amount of gravel+rocks in the rear guards - you can pretty much guess what the car was used for ay... (no, not rally... ) series 2 dont really have any problems. i dont think there was a factory recall for this model, but you will need to look out for the odd misfire from the ignition coils in a series 2. deriq.
  3. PM replied Sorry guys, forgot to mention this suits R33, R32, S14, S13, Z32... they're all 10mm I believe. deriq.
  4. click on it ^^^
  5. isn't paulr33 currently designing a loom for rb26 pfc's to suit both rb25s and rb20s? im sure its not long to go now... deriq.
  6. hmm my first guess would have been some tools behind the carpet in the boot, passenger side. but if you suspect it to be something as far back as the exhaust... maybe jack it up and see? deriq.
  7. Lexus....? hmm... it might grow on me though... took a while for the v35 coupe to grow on me..
  8. more information on the vehicle youre interested in is biggest asset to you right now. rebuilt engine because...km's too high? then what does that tell you about the rest of the car? maybe engine failure? or is it for motorsport? even then, would you want a car you know was thrashed around a strip/track? would help your thread if you told us which model skyline you were after champ. deriq.
  9. im not too sure, but I am sure that all r33s share aftermarket ones like cusco, whiteline. if aftermarket ones are the same, then i dont see why a factory gtr one wouldnt fit a gtst... hope that helped, deriq.
  10. well... to see it off personally would mean private sale via carsales? here even? just a word of advice, few will see the value of an untouched r33. cheers, deriq.
  11. repost good effort but. its got vtec.....yo. deriq
  12. hey mate, give shanef a PM. he's looking for a std bonnet swap plus cash http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=160472 cheers, deriq
  13. ^^^^they're not the seats from his r33.. its just a pic indicating colour mate
  14. nice wheels mate. should fit without too much drama. you can have studs redrilled definitely. will cost you tho. would have to call a few places to get quotes on them. cheers, deriq.
  15. lol thats pretty cool... but i dont think they'd be too strong/ safe.. i'd rather stick to good old wheels-i-can-see. deriq.
  16. fark me dead... hate to see this kinda crap happening... what's worse is theres really nothing that can be done to stop idiots from keying people's cars... i still remember parking my car outside one night... some sh!theads decided it was a good idea to squirt some PVA glue down the side of my white skyline. luckily, i came out just in time to wipe most [yes, some was left and dried and cant be removed without removing some paint] of it off cos it was still wet... ohh mate if i knew who did it... deriq
  17. uhh... not running fuel thats too rich would be my first step. possibly a service? what injectors you have atm? any mods to the car? you'd need to give a bit more detail... deriq.
  18. yeh im not sure why you'd compare these two cars. i'm not sure you've thought this through far enough. deriq
  19. nice grille... but not sure abt the badge.. but keep up the good work! deriq.
  20. but doesnt Custom Carbon use carbon fibre only Noy? Or do you still use fibreglass? Just out of interest, how much would one set me back? As you can see, I'm really interested cheers, deriq.
  21. I've always wondered this... aren't F1 car bodies made almost entirely of carbon fibre? How is that safe? just a lil confused
  22. yeh but it also depends on the officer at the time. hear about lots of coppas issuing fines/defects regardless. but yeah, will definitely look into getting a colour-coded c/f bonnet. cheers champ, deriq.
  23. wait hold on champ. ur talking about the pics in post 12 right? arent they suede? they're definitely not rubber...
