sorry, haven't researched as thorough as some, but the fibreglass bonnets from blitsbodykits.com.au are roughly priced at 800.. isnt that the price of a carbon fibre hood tho? yes, they're illegal and yes, those come with adr papers, but if you bought a non-vented carbon fibre hood and painted it, would police officers even notice? it'd just look standard right... just sussing out some options for the near future.. deriq.

the first 2 you posted up are eastbear seats if im correct... not gtr ones.. gtr ones came in suede with blue stitching, red for the series 3 gtr R33s.

hmm yesss insurance would be a major factor limiting your choices. you just have to sit down and think about what you want. then look for the car that suits your needs. rwd? awd? single or big twins? supercharge even? want all show or all go or bit of both? frankly, your question's a bit broad / vague mate. best car... for what? in terms of what? deriq.

^^^ nice hood mate.. from my understanding, black carbon was the wet carbon look and the carbon/kevla is the more dry carbon look, that right? could I ask how much you paid for it and where you got it? lol well, PhilGTR looks like he can.. and hopefully you will mate. I actually went to testdrive one the other day, and if you havent testdrove an Evo, well basically, go test drive one. lol. but I tell ya, the way the dealer drove it, he was caning the thing and went to 130 in a small street, and tapped the brakes while trying to take a hook turn (I say trying because tyres and brakes werent warmed up so bouncing around a bit but still an amazing machine). I was sh!tting myself too cos after a straight, he steered it right into the kerb (as though you completely misjudged the corner far too early) and quickly countersteered off to show me that it wasn't easy getting the evo off balance, "You'd have to be a complete idiot of a driver to mess an Evo up". I mean, that thing just stayed put. I was grinning ear to ear. hahaha interior probably isnt as nice as MPSs and RX8s, but does its job well; suede recaros and suede back seats. Feels alot smaller inside than the STi, but would definitely outrun one. And for the price, nothing comes close. PhilGTR, I would highly recommend grabbing yourself an evo. Incomparably more agile than the GTR and you'd definitely appreciate the move to it coming from a GTR yourself. deriq.

not one of your options so I thought I'd throw in an idea: Grab yourself an EVO7. Outstanding performance when you're in the mood for a thrashing, and a beautiful every day driver. Very nice indeed. Should be able to pick one up for around 37ish with about 30-40,000 ks on it - depending where you buy it. Not a huge fan of the mazda's you've listed, but hey, personal preferences. Evo 7 FTW deriq.

hmm... not sure if it's GTR tho? GTRs have a more squared guard - you actually have a distinct crease in the bodywork and not as blended. so i reckon if you were to go GTR rear quarters, try not to blend as much. p.s. dont get me wrong, thats a massive rear end on your car man...lol. deriq.

are carbon bonnets illegal in nsw? lol since when..? seen sooo many rice boys hooning in their carbon hooded toys.. hmm.. but i guess everythings illegal now ay. i know if i was really keen on a carbon fibre bonnet still that didnt stand out as much, i'd go for a simple design if not just oem style and paint it the same colour as my car. that way, its definitely not for show and all for go (except those sexy bonnet pins lol) deriq
