  1. All factory wheels are made to sit tight on the hub to take all the load and the studs are there to stop the wheel spinning around. Aftermarket wheels are made with a larger centre bore and these are reduced down to suit a particular car with hub rings. Read all about it here: http://planetsoarer.com/offset/studs.htm
  2. I got my kit through Race Brakes Melb for approx $70 a side. SJ6024 or Protex p/n 210E0103 R32/R33 (GTSt/GTR) and Z32 rears are all the same. I also think twin spot rear on WRX is the same too. (late 1998>) These kits do 1 caliper only.
  3. Front rebuild kits are either: SJ6070 or Protex 210E0011 approx $40-50ea Rear kits: SJ6024 or Protex 210E0103 approx $70-80ea These kits do only 1 caliper so need 2 of each. Try ABS in the phone book, Race Brakes Melbourne or Sydney.
  4. Ohhh ok. I just thought they had smaller housings than a GT35 or are they the same but with smaller wheels?
  5. I have the chance to buy a GT30 .82 with custom wheels in it, which apparently made 367rwKw @ 24psi boost (C16) on a RB25. I'm aiming for 350rwKw on 98 fuel. Would this be a bit on the small side on a RB30/26 street/track car??
  6. Also, I thought with RB30ET std 7.8:1 pistons the c/r with a R33 RB25 head is about 7.1:1, so using 8.5:1 (quoted off the ACL website) ACL forgies might make it approx 7.8:1? Even if the R34 NEO head has smaller chambers, it surely does it reallywork out to be 8.5:1?!? Or was it all CC'd?
  7. Gday Spool, Hmmmm I got an email from QRI and they assured me CP 9.0 were 6cc dome?! I thought you would be the best person to ask! Arias apparently have a 13cc dome on one of their pistons which would make even higher c/r
  8. I priced rear caliper kits through Nissan and it was hundreds. I've just ordered some from howard at Race brakes Melbourne ($70) so will let you know if they fit.
  9. I dunno about 140ea... more like 220ea RRP http://forum.streetcommodores.com.au/showt...rake+conversion http://www.autotrader.com.au/DealerProducts/PhotoDisplay.asp These arent the Federals designed for the track either, they are ss595RS. Good luck with the sale Ben, these are great tyres!!
  10. I have a set of brand new front and rear 'Race Brakes' performance brake pads to suit: R32 GTSt R32 GTR (not Brembo) R33 GTSt WRX (4 spot front, 2 spot rear) (DB1170 & DB1220) They offer excellent street performance, VERY low or no dust and low rotor wear. Similar to Bendix Ultimates but without the dust and better priced!!! RRP $225 sell $180 delivered. PM or phone 0407 842 553 Matt

  12. Oh? I wasn't aware they were that good!! Maybe ill just stick some cams in it and not touch the head. I was after 350rwKw (approx 600hp @ engine)
  13. Who specialises in RB26 head porting in Vic, NSW, SA or QLD??? I'm after a mild clean up job. Who had had some work done?
  14. Updated. So CP have have 6cc dome = 9.0:1 Arias have a 13cc = 9.4 approx? and 10.6cc = 9.1 approx? Not sure what Arias quote the compression ratio to be but something doesn't seem right with all these figures. I know they arent accurate but its a guide. Has anyone worked out c/r with Arias pistons???
  15. Are the Pro Engines ones a better choice SK?
  16. http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.p...light=chev+rods
  17. I just picked up a RB26 head. On the crank angle sensor alloy mount bracket, there is a number stamped on it: 90, 3, 28 Would this be 28/03/1990- when the engine was made???
  18. ok, I added the RB25 gasket. I thought the others would be more common and cheaper to use so I left it out...
  19. Nissan tell me there are a few different part numbers for R32 RB26 and R33 RB26 VRS gasket kits (they must have 1 or 2 small changes in the gaskets/seals) 1. Because I dont know what my RB26 head is off, i'm not sure which to choose: R32 8/89-2/93 2/93- R33 1/95-2/97 2/97- But i'm sure the major gaskets and seals would be the same... 2. Also, do the R32 RB20, RB26 and R33 RB26 Crank angle sensors all interchange??? i.e. bolt up the same and share the same cam drive? I'm using aftermarket management too.
  20. I want to run a .82 with my RB30/26 but the guy who uses the .63 on his RB25 said his .82 was too laggy out of corners and the .63 fixed that. A 1.06 would be good to make some big power though....
