I personally would prefer the 1GGTE engine, I have worked with one and they seem pretty easy to extract power from, and share a somewhat universal platform with the 1JZ/2JZ-GTE, so its easier to find part for them. I have also heard rumors the 7M's can develop oil leaks (cracks) in the block and are quite weak. But thats just a personal opinion, each to their own

My friend owns a AE86 Trueno (GT Apex I think??) in the traditional panda colors, looks like exact replica of Takumi's car, my friends even gone to the extent of buying a Fujiwara Tofu Shop (Private Vechicle) sticker to slap down the drivers door

In ACT I talked to the motor registry about what would need to be changed, and they advised me the only modification needed would be rear child point restraints and a high level brake light (in the middle of the rear window at the bottom)... they didnt even seem to care about side intrusion bars etc, but thats just for act not sure on other states.

Just called Famous and they'll insure me in a R34 GT-t (agreed market value $40,000) for $5500 comprehensive, $2000 excess, $1000 age excess and $2000 theft excess. Keep in mind im 19 year old, with only 1 1/2 years of insurance under my belt...
