  1. The RS4 came into the High Powered Vehicle at the time but is now only 106.17 kw/tonne.The 32 is 119.69. Have emailed Nissan to see if I can get the power/weight on a Nissan letterhead, which is what DOT is asking for
  2. Funnily my P son has an exemption to drive an RS4, a High Powered Vehicle. I now want an exemption for him to drive a Moderately Powered Vehicle, an R32 GTST. DOT, that used the Wiki info to get the RS4 exemption, now want info from the maufacturer re the power/weight ratio. It seems no other source of the info will do. Any clues will result in my undying gratitude.
  3. DOT specifically said info from Redbook is not accepted. The thing that pings me is that some elderly gent on a brand new Harley ran into the back of the 32 while it was stationary behind two other cars that had stopped to let someone reverse out of a driveway. The rider had not been on a bike for 20 years, yes 20 years. He just ran into the back of the 32. The bike was stuffed, the rider really stuffed, the 32 suffered no damage, the bike hit the tow hook. The law went balistic and want to charge my youngun with driving a "Moderately Powered Vehicle" with`out an exemption. Fark, he can legally drive a Stagea with a bunch of goodies, but can't ride a push bike. I guess I must get onto Nissan Japan, but from what I have read here I think I am farked. HELP
  4. My son who has an exemption to drive a "High Powered Vehicle" an RS4, needs to get a separate exemption to drive a "Moderately Powered Vehicle", an R32GTST. The mind boggles! I guess it is one way to get an extra $36.15 in the Govt coffers. DOT will now only accept Factory Manual information. The usual sites on the net, including car forum notes are no longer be accepted. Only info from Nissan. Can anyone please point me in the right direction to get these specs?
  5. Far out I LOVE my three C34's, nearly as much as I loved my 64 Cortina. 126mph at Castlreagh Drags in 1966.
  6. ing any M type whatever caus they are too! Twee! Hitler had only got one ball, Goering had two but they were small, Himmler had something similar, But Goeballs got no balls at all. Hitler = R30 Goering = R31 Himmler = R32 Goeballs = M types. No apologies to any NSU, Audi, Merc, VW (read Hitlers revenge) et effing cetra Fatherland flop drivers. LOL PS They dtropped bombs on me when I was a kid.
  7. How about if you started offwith three R30 and a Subaru? Then got a Sil then a C34, then another C34 then another Sil, Then an R32 then another C34. My brain is far*#d trying to keep up. And I am definately NOT gett
  8. You ought to see my two Stags. None of my doing.
  9. Check all the connections. Mine did the same once. It was a loose inlet to turbo
  10. This exact thing happened to the 25G. The fan/waterpump belt was overtightened. The water pump shaft sheared. The fan had a whirling orgasm under the bonnet. New radiator, new (VL) water pump, new belts.
  11. My Nismo son is doing the Sil Rb30/25 so he does the hard yards and I learn from him for a change. I have been looking at a better oil pump system for my other RS4 Auto. It has an FFP and a pod and it runs a bit too hot and gets the gurgles I have an oil temp gauge and it gets to 120 when pushed up Henri Robert Drive.. I am looking at an oil cooler, but with a remote oil filter and an oil cooler I think I will need a much better oil pumping system. First I will go like Hanso and refit the stock air box and the cold air deflector. Mrs66 will appreciate the lowering of the induction noise.
  12. Have you got a cold air deflector? That is supposed to help also.
  13. Well, I bought the red S1 off ebay. Price was OK for S1 Dayz with electric leather. Duco is sh#t but does not make it go or stop. Motor was advertised as stuffed, and it is. Compression test was my worst Chrissie present 3,5 & 6 50psi. So out with the motor and it looks like an RB30/25, same as the Sil is the way to go. So my new year of Deeper in Debt continues. One would think at my age I would know better But then I am a Nissan Man. Happy SAFE motoring for all for 2014..
  14. Looking for a motor, long or short, in good working order to suit Auto RS4 S1 Prefer in Qld/Gold Coast.
  15. Got a coil pack loom for the 25G from USA. Also a PS belt for the RS4. As [ post the latest addition to the Addict Stable is on a trailer heading for the Promised Land. Tamborine Mountain.
  16. Thats the one. The 4bidn1. Actually I got a Classics mate of mine to bid. He has a program that automatically makes a bid 5 secs before close.I am too effin old to grasp all the IT shifties.
  17. Well bang for buck is my creed. The new one has a done motor. Will go RB30/25 same as No1 son is doing for the S13 Drifta. He can do the hard yards and I can stroll along behind getting the clues. And, I am definately addicted. Might have to get onto a Methanol Program LOL
  18. I went to buy a headlight a while back but it seemed like the chrome reflective surface was "rusty looking" so did not buy. Got a pair of pristine. Now I notice one of mine is going the same. Can this be easily fixed? If so how?
  19. I like the S2 N/A grille.
  20. Nothing as spectacular as the previous posts. A good while back got a dash mat for the RS4. Fitted like a glove. Later I got a mat from an unmentionable for the 25G. . I finally fitted it today. It is like a soft sock. Had to use a bucket full of viagra, oops velcro to get it to fit. Looks shit but will protect the dash.
  21. I have a zillion bits for R30's if you need them.
  22. It is true about the cold air. It is denser at night and has more moisture. In the "Good old days" there was a gismo called the Kenrich water injector or something similar. It was supposed to help give more power and better economy. I remember it was written up in Modern Motor magazine when it was tested in the now defunct Mobil Economy Run. Is there anybody out there old enough, like me to remember all the add on bits available in the 60's? Incidently I am a firm believer in "The good old days" starting tomorrow.
