  1. As you may know I have the "Gurgles" in the RS4. Probably due to the way the Skylines members instructions said to install the FFP. Came across info on a "Swirl Pot and Header Tank" Has anyone used one, or knows anything about it?
  2. Need a fan shroud for the Dayz. In Brisvegas if possible
  3. I had a Suckeroo and it went like that twice. Coil pack/ignighter.
  4. I bought two mats a while back. One was good the other quite poorly made by comparison. I am after another good mat for the S1 Dayz. I am gussing it would be the same as an S1.
  5. Thanks Duncan. Prob was a TV etc before but big hole there atm.
  6. I need to get a new screen as it has a huge crack in it. I have just noticed there are two heater?? elements at the top on each side. They look a bit like the side radio aerial. And seem to be stuck on. Can these be taken off and reused? Any one done this? Are there any tricks to help reuse?
  7. The motor going in is an RWD motor, so want an RWD box.
  8. I am still looking for an RWD auto box. The turbo piping was real bodgie, so to get it back to standard I need the inlet piping from the AFM to the turbo intake. Including the piping from the BOV to the inlet and the piping from the rocker cover to the the inlet pipe. I also want to get a $20 manual boost controller. It probably will cost more these dayz. I am in GC hinterland.
  9. I know most Stag owners will regard this as a retrograde step. But at my age auto is the best for my wife and me. I am slowly rebuilding an RWD motor for the S1 Dayz.. The drive front shafts are out. I suppose I could use the 4WD box but wonder what to do with the box front output. Can a cover be fitted to keep the crud out? So I am looking at fitting an RWD auto box. Is this possible? What type will slot straight in.. So I wtb an RWD auto box Would prefer Brisvegas pick up.
  10. R32 son brought home a "PUPPY?" I thought it was a Shetland. He goes to work 6 til 6. I get to do the exercising, which is actually a plus for my health. Anyway the RS4 came with the cargo barrier and cover which had never been fitted in the 7+ years . So I fitted them today. The dog, "Phoebe", loves it and rides around looking very regal PS. Would have been good to have when the kids were growing up.LOL
  11. While rebuilding the S1 Dayz RS4, I measured the thickness of the core at 25mm. I compared it to the other RS4, the one that has the "gurgles", and was very surprised to see it was only 17mm.. Even the 25G is 25mm. I now recall that when I was fitting the FFP I broke the top hose connection and bought a replacement radiator off the forum, never noticing the different thickness. Someone flogged me a bodgie rad. My BAD..Buyer beware. When the 25G got front shunted I used the core off the RS4 to get the rad fixed. Hence it being 25mm now. It runs cool as a cucumber. Just maybe, the reason the 17mm Stag has the gurgles is because the rad is too thin and it boils when pushed? Next thing is to get a Rad with a 25 plus core.
  12. A white 35 going up to Mt Tamborine this morning. He stopped but i was running late for a doc's appointment. I was in the RS4.
  13. Now that is funny. You can now fantasise you are driving a C34. LOL
  14. I am coverting my S1 Dayz from 4WD to RWD. Still auto. Do I need another ECU or will the stock one work. Does it need any simple mods like pulling fuses etc.
  15. I decided to go rear wheel drive in my RS4.
  16. They are the same afaik. I am pretty sure the reo Darrin gave me was off an S2 and it fitted my S1.
  17. I'll do the rad first and see what happens. If that does not fix then its deep surgery. But I still dont know where the water goes.
