  1. Got a very nice alloy radiator as an early Chrissy present. It is going in the RS4 and the RS4 one is going in the DAYZ
  2. I know it is not the same as an R32 caus I have one. Their top mounting pins are closer together and there is no tapping for the A/C control sensor. I have a radiator marked R34 but it does not have the tapping point for the A/C control. The last one I had delivered from a wrecker was not only 15mm thick core, did not have the tapping point, for the A/C, but the connector for the auto tranny oil line on the passenger side was too far to the left for the stock line to fit. On top of that the top tank leaked, My original S1 RS4, auto that I imported from Japan in 2006, has a 25mm thick core. That is what I am after to fit to the S1 Dayz.
  3. Must have wide spaced top pegs and be tapped for A/C sensor.
  4. Can an RB20DET head from an R32, be fitted to an S1 awd RB25DET without too much trouble?
  5. I got a mat from Super Cheap. Was about $40 in 2007. Needed a trim but fits fine.
  6. I have just done some wiring but not connected to wiper system. I tapped into the feed to the front cigarette lighter.
  7. When I insert key to start, at the stage where the key is at the ON position the rear wiper starts to move then stops after about 1/4 of a sweep. The same thing happens when I turn the key off. This all happens when the control switch is in the off position. Any ideas?
  8. Glad this has cropped up. The Dayz has the dreaded "Click" Did not know what it is. Now I know how to fix. Many thanks.
  9. Thanks for info. Have an awd box i will fit.
  10. I want to fit an S2 RWD auto box into the S1 Dayz which is an S1 AWD that I have converted to RWD. The motor I have just fitted is an RWD type. The S2 is Tiptronic whereas the S1 is not. Is this easily done or are there a host of mods necessary? ECU, loom etc. Any help greatly appreciated.
  11. The S1 C34 RB25DET can be driven by a P plater but you have to apply for a Certificate of Exemption for High Powered Vehicles. My 21 yo had to get one. Incidently the S1 stock auto is only classified as a "Moderately Powered Vehicle" One thing to remember is that the Exemption is vehicle specific. Each type you want to drive needs a specific exemption. Insurance is no problem. It just costs.
  12. Silver C34 going up beacon Rd on Mount Tamborine about 11am.

Thanks for info.I need to get off to repaint.
  14. Today I DROVE the Dayz. I am a happy man. Only took ten months! Also found out that when you turn on the immobilizer, if the windows are down, they come up Another plus.

How do you get the louvres off at the back end of the side windows??
  16. Well, hit the key in the Dayz and it started first kick. It has been a long haul since 8/12/2013 when she arrived on a trailer with a blown motor. I have converted to RWD. There are still a few things to get. A radiator and shroud. And a windscreen. They will come soon. Can not explain how stoked my son and I were when it started first kick.
  17. I forgot, he gave me an FMIC also. But then I did give him a Nissan Patrol. We are a giving family.
  18. I had the same trouble. Part of the mechanism was bent and prevented release.
  19. I have had Skylines and Stags since 1984. My original RMR30 had 600k on it when the Auto finally wore out. Probably caus I had not checked the oil! If maintained regularly I would expect a Stagea to go the same distance.
  20. I am getting to the point where, after I finish the Dayz rebuild, I will take off the FFP and put the piping back to stock. It is pointless having an RS4 that has to tippy toe around.
  21. Hmmm? I will muse on this
