Used Oil, Old Batteries Etc.. How To Dispose Of?
Devils_Advocate21 replied to Konrad's topic in Queensland
Ok in general you can dispose of waste oil at any supercheap up here in qld, im guessing would be the same as for down south, for use batteries you may have to chase down a battery world or a battery re-core place to dispose of it that way, unless you can always just put them in the bin! Highly illegal i dont condone people to do it that way but its upto you Hope that helps Cheers A -

If you do pistons you dont have to do rods, thats optional, You can get your old ones race preped so to speak, and will handle you power goal fine if you do, If you want to over exceed that get rods, as this will save having to open the engine up again. hpe that answers your question, and as the others have stated, unless your doing the work yourself 3k is not enough far from enough Piston Bores require a hone/bore for oversized pistons rings, and machine work for block plus your head work been best to get a full service done to it is anywhere from 1300 - 2k For the above Pistons another 1300 Then you have to include labour, bearings, Gaskets, Water/oil pumps, Belts, Oil, Coolant, Theres the good part of 3k upwards Ummm hope they answer your enquiries Cheers A

Devils_Advocate21 replied to Devils_Advocate21's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thats what i thought, tomei seems to be the win so far, but wouldnt mind a little more input based on the hks combos as im guessing would work on the same principle but if it is say shown that it is a better selection vs tomei that the way i will go but if it needs improvement compared to tomei ill go that way?? Cheers A -

As most of you know i tried to Get the Letters spelt out For "SAU" In the ammount of cars that we had last sunday, this took a great deal of patience and the space we did it in was quite small but we achieved what i wanted with great help from Col, and the other people there. This time its time to move it to a better area this weekend, An opportunity to gain a good photo as we have alot of space and an appropriate hieght we can take this at. Photos will include not only SAU spelt out but numerous other planned photos have also been planned for this day/afternoon, Meeting Point 1: General Meet at Springwood Crazy Clarks, (Just to make it easier for those from southside travelling up) Time: Will be set for 2-30 Meet 3:00 latest to leave by if we can. Destination: ANZ Stadium Carpark. (Located on Mains road Near Kessels Road) ETA: 3:15 Other Events Planned for this evening: None as yet but more than welcome to take ideas from here. Etc: BBQ if anyone interested? Numbers: As from those that attended and spoke to last sunday, we need numbers to make this work. Space? This is not a problem its an open public carpark, but do remember Good behaviour and also remember these things will take setup time. All i ask is that clean cars if possible. So Lets get the ball rolling. Attendees: Jon (Nismo) Myself (Devils/Adam) heist33 Mud Reggi34dr(Maybe) subzeroR33 Oblivion(Cant) Gemr33 MRR34 K_N_P Hotr34 53XYN soopa Scadtional Ad_N (Only Saturday)

Rebuilding/running In A Rb20det
Devils_Advocate21 replied to Ceffy_SA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Load up where u can, let it warm up to about 45 degrees before moving, keep it under 4500rpm and as your k's increase you increase th rpm/boost as well you dont want rich afr's theyll just wash the bore down, and Comments above aswell And Varying rpm, no really long straight runs at constant rpm, If your at the lights for a couple of minutes vary the rpm give it a stab to 2000rpm every so often. Oh and oil changes 100, 500, 1000, 2000, 5000, and then your regular intervils Plenty of ways to do it -

What Cam Choice Should I Go For
Devils_Advocate21 replied to Devils_Advocate21's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I was also led to believe the 256/264 combo is a good option, Im guessing a little playing with the dialing for these would needed because of mismatching? But as you said SK tomei seems to be the way to go?? Bah i wish i had a little more on this can others state results on similar setups and experiences? SK have you tried the 256/264 combo on any of your engines, just wondering how you went if you did and if there was much if any dialing needed setting for this type of combo? Cheers Guys A -
