  1. Well it got a bit hot out there, but I had a good day. Was good to finally meet Emily & Chris too I'll post up pics later
  2. Bluprint (I'll be at the cruise meet point at 8:45) Stinkypoo (I'll try and be at the cruise meet point before 9:00) Frink (i'll try and be at the cruise point before 9am...) Mang Bullet32 (He just told me he's coming)
  3. From reading the council of ACT motor clubs website it says that people that drive in as part of the big cruise from Commonwealth Park are entitled to preferential parking at the actual show. When you turn up to the meeting spot they give you a small window sticker that gives you preferential entrance and parking for the show. The meeting spot for this cruise is the futsal stadium on Barrine Drive next to Commonwealth Bridge. For those that don't know where that it, that's the spot next to Commonwealth Avenue where the circus always sets up every year, opposite Regatta Point. So if we want a good spot then I spose we should head in as part of the main cruise, which is from 8:30am to 9:15am. I guess what we could do is meet there at 8:45-9:00, get our stickers and then roll in as a group whilst looking mean Bear in mind that if you want to attend you don't NEED to be there early - you can drive in and drive out any time. Get there at 10 if you want to. I guess we should start a list of who's going, hopefully everyone that's posted previous is coming, we might have a top turnout like last year! Same deal as the Christmas cruise - copy the list and add your name to the bottom Bluprint (I'll be at the cruise meet point at 8:45)
  4. Do you guys want to just meet there and drive in as a group or do you want to do the cruise in the morning as well? I was under the impression that the cruise was for formal clubs only that have registered to attend on the day but whatever. Last year we met at 8:30 near the bowling alley in Belco and drove in as a group. The beauty with this show is that you can drive in and out whenever your like. However the problem with getting there late is that it's hard to find a nice place to leave your cars. We were basically dead in the middle of the whole show last year which was pretty cool, but there was no shade. Anyway, I'm happy to turn up whenever... Who wants to get there with the cruise and who wants to get in there early and who just wants to roll up when they please?
  5. Civic seems ok... raining though Although... let me quote the first e-mail from Mick (Bullet32): "HOLY CRAP! You won't believe this but it was just SNOWING in Fyshwick! NO BULL!" And the second e-mail, moments later "Correction it is STILL SNOWING in Fyshwick! WTF!!!!"
  6. If it's absolutely dead stock then I suppose that's normal..... Is it manual or auto?
  7. Gave & got a wave from NJR_34GTT on Cotter Rd this arvo... how'd ya find that traffic jam?

  10. Oh but it did.... in series 2 (I'm fairly sure) I've seen the odd Bayside Blue series 1 but I've never been sure if they came with that colour from factory Want to see hotness.... picture a midnight purple GT-t
  11. They're the same box basically
  12. I might come for a look
  13. I took mine there with a small ding in the back door last year and the front end riddled with stonechips. And I'd do it again this year No matter how imperfect your car may seem there's always going to be some other one there on the day which makes yours look like it's just come off the showroom floor
  14. So...... this is Sunday after next. Anyone still want to go? I'd like to.
  15. Are you sure they're complete? I thought they were a long motor minus the turbos and electronics etc etc?

  17. The differences that I've heard of are: - The crank angle sensor is different to an R33 one. An R33 one has a metal cover. The Neo one has a matt black plastic cover. If you need to see what it looks like try finding a picture of either a Neo or an R34 RB26DETT, they both have the same CAS cover. - The plenum is a tad smaller than an R33 one and has a slightly squarer shape (for lack of a better description)- Apparently for better bottom end power - The crossover pipe has a secondary throttle body which is about 2-3 inches before the main throttle body on the plenum, for the traction control. - Neos have smaller top feed injectors, as opposed to R33 side feed injectors. 340cc vs 370cc or something. - The R33 coil pack covers have that "NISSAN 2500 TWIN CAM 24 VALVE" badge on them on top of cylinder #2 roughly. The R34 ones have nothing on the coil cover at all due to the plastic engine cover and the intake gear almost completely obscuring the coil pack and cam covers. - The vaccum hosing and coolant bleed points are in rather different spots on the Neo intake. (At the back of the inlet manifold) - There is an igniter in each ignition coil as opposed to the other RB motors which has a single igniter at the back of the motor for all the coil packs - The turbo has a nylon composite compressor wheel and what's supposed to be the same as a VG30 exhaust housing - Solid lifters a la RB26 (mine certainly has a different sounding top end noise) - RB26 conrods (either the same or similar) - They don't have variable cam timing on the exhaust but the variation on the intake is meant to be different to the R33 one. The R33 one is supposed to be some kind of on/off arrangement and the R34 one is some kind of intermittent/available on demand kind of thing - The ECU has a very different pinout Anyways that's what comes to mind, I'm no expert so a lot of that might be incorrect Oh, and the exhaust housing.... mine has an R33 dump pipe on it The original dump pipe was on the motor when we got it and it looked exactly the same as an R33 one.
