  1. I'm finding your last 2 posts terribly amusing. You're rubbishing me for spending my Friday night on here, and yet, where are you? I'm on here because I'm bored at work. What's your excuse? You're a legitimate dickhead. Go neck a bag of dicks.
  2. Goddamn dude, give it a f**king rest.
  3. I'd be more worried about whether or not the event is going ahead, not about the weather. Has to be asked, with only 5 days left until the day and 8 spots still to be filled, will this be going ahead, or will the club simply absorb the cost? Just curious. Brad, in answer to your question, I think you'll just have to wait until the day to find out. Last time it was passengers every now and then, and solo/specials the rest. There didn't appear to be a set format, was up to the marshalls for the most part.
  4. What post? I see someone mention $22k, and $44k. Don't see mention of anyone receiving either..? Ah. There. Hearsay. Again. Highlighted an important bit. It could well have been either the owner/driver was a dick, and the cop fined him for every single defect, totaling $10,000, and then the owner got a bit sensationalist and said it was all one big EPA fine. It could well have just been the cop was a dick, and the above scenario played out again. It could well be bullshit. I stand by my argument of 'not-f**king-likely'. /out.
  5. She? Right. Read through that. Owner of the car got pulled over, officer noticed the car was running a de-cat and the owner/driver of said car was informed he would receive en EPA summons for emissions testing. The officer then proceeded to threaten a $1500 fine. Owner of the car received his EPA summons, and called to check the procedure. Was informed he would have to pay the princely sum of $74.90 for the inspection. Nothing mentioned in the notice about a fine. Nor was anything relayed to him by the person he contacted. I'm not sure what you're getting at with linking me to that? That a person can be sent for an emissions inspection if an officer believes they're not running emissions control gear? Okay, cool. I've never actually denied that. Nor have I denied that the $10,000 fine exists (outright), happy to be proven wrong, I guess. But unless you're pulled over by Transport Safety, VicRoads, other interstate equivalent, or the EPA themselves, I believe it's highly unlikely that it would actually occur.* Additionally, I don't actually wonder why they (who?) call me a dickhead around here (?). I either know full well and don't give a shit, or simply don't give a shit. As for Jesse James. His $271,000 and change fine for 50 bikes without emissions control gear wasn't issued by the EPA. It was issued by the Air Resources Board. Which is the Californian government. So again, what? (and I doubt he even noticed $270k.) I'm not playing the ignorance card. I'm playing the 'not f**king likely' card. I'm yet to see proof. But hey, I'm ignorant. *ignorant but capable of using google. http://www.aussiefrogs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17177 Reply #8. Just like you I've scrolled down until I've found a post that fits my argument, and am now using it as irrefutable evidence. http://www.ausrotary.com/viewtopic.php?t=64318 http://www.supraforums.com.au/forum/western-australia/51747-cops-catalytic-converters.html $2500 for the operator. Still not $10,000, though still significant. http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/exhaust/481955-epa-information-removing-catalytic.html
  6. Have we mentioned Adam = Telstra? Telstra is never cheaper.
  7. In my view Internode would win any day of the week. They may be owned by iinet now, but they're still based in Adelaide, and still have an excellent quality of service. They're just now able to offer a much broader variety of services.
  8. Dickhead, scroll up and read again.I said I'd never actually heard of someone being given the fine. We've all heard of the fine itself. But do we have any evidence to support anyone ever actually receiving one? No. I then further went on to compare to issuing of said fine to the boogeyman. Problem? Ps, who the Hell is Kirsty?
  9. Pumpkin, you've got some pretty extreme paranoia going on.
  10. I have never actually heard of anyone receiving this "massive fine" for not having a cat. Why do I have a feeling that it's no more than the car guy boogeyman?
  11. Seems rather imprecise. Not to mention stupid.
  12. I've not heard of a standard phone handset being used in a VoIP setup. Hardware is pretty different between a standard handset and a VoIP handset. Every case is different. Mine took 19 days. Neighbours connection took 7.
  13. The address search is only telling you what the exchange is capable of. A voip handset is totally different hardware, intended to receive voip signal carried by internet, in this vein I dont believe it likely to perform the same as a normal handset for this test. A naked connection takes 10-20 business days between ordering and getting online.
  14. Okay, so the above is *kind of* correct. Long version: Depending on the status of the line (ie if its been disconnnected too long or a newly built property) you may still need to pay a connection fee for the phone line ($59-299). If you have a dialtone will be closer to the cheaper end, if silent/dead line closer to the higher end. This is a blanket rule. Then you'd need to pay at least one months landline rental fee while the ISP converts the line to Naked. If theres a dialtone on the line and you dont know the number, punch in 127 22 123 and it should read it back. Give this to your ISP when you order. Internode for one have a No Connection No Fee policy so order the Naked service you want and if they can't do it without activating the line as above, you dont get charged for trying, and they tell you whats needed and how much etc before proceeding. But yeah, Naked ADSL availability is solely dependent on the infrastructure with which you connect to the exchange.
  15. Internode. Internet, fetch TV, mobile service, and more importantly, Adelaide based, not owned by Telstra...
  16. Cute. Seriously though, it's called a 'sprint' event. Don't call it a grip day. Numpties.
  17. What's this gripping nonsense you guys are on about?
  18. There's an NS cruise tomorrow night? f**k yeah, defects!
  19. Porsche G50 would be my guess. Brand new they'd be about that.
  20. Expert opinion? Once you start ticking the options on those RCR kits, they get pretty f**king expensive. Add on drivetrain, shipping, local engineering..
  21. Got my engine back today! Now just to fill it full of metal bits and boosties.
  22. Good son of rajab. You can do some serious four wheeling in that.
  23. Nengun. But there is a 2 week lead time on top of delivery time. I still don't know what I'm doing... Yup! That.
