  1. Still looking good. Turbine housing and exhaust manifold have both been ceramic coated, flange surfaces on the inlet manifold have been machined (3 of 4 were out of tolerance apparently), oil drain will be rectified next time I have a day off. Then I'll slap it back together, and it get back on the dyno, hopefully, with the mystery air leak sorted out.
  2. My 6258 got pulled off the other day. Still in excellent condition after its first 17psi track outing. Should have everything back together soon, then back on the dyno without an air leak... Hopefully.
  3. Mine certainly isn't... I think the limit 92dB or some such... As for what level draws attention, depends on the cop I guess. I've driven next to cops in my car for several kilometres without a second look, and mine is significantly louder than legal. Same with my old Celsior.
  4. That'd be the way I go. Plenty of stock mount options out there that provide plenty of without screaming 'look at me' when you pop the bonnet... I for one didn't go that way, but that's another story... Nope, shit like that is fine. FMIC's, aftermarket airboxes/filters/etc, and exhausts (provided they're under the dB limit and have a compliant cat) are fine. I've heard that too... When I went through, the turbo received nothing more than a cursory glance.
  5. If a big ugly high mount single is the way you want to go, then you best be keeping all the stock bits in the shed. If you get pulled over and stickered, you'll be off to Regency VIS, basically anything other than a stock car wont pass (there have been some lucky exceptions to that), in which case, you take a weekend, and put all the standard gear back in. It is possible to get everything engineered, but it's hideously expensive, and on the side of the road with a pissed off traffic cop, it's not worth the paper it's written on.
  6. Any modification that alters emissions = illegal... unless you spend bulk coin going through all the channels and getting it emissions legal. And even then, you can get sent to Regency for it. That being said, plenty of us go around with that sort of power (and more) without any trouble. As long as you avoid hotspots, and do what you can to minimise the visual impact of your mods, you should be fine. Ps, congratulations on leaving the home country.
  7. You can store in sealed drums for years. Your fuel system is sealed. Problem? Drive it once a month. Don't put in more fuel than you need. Should be fine.
  8. If you leave for a couple hundred years... Probably. Any other time, I doubt it. I have no trouble starting mine cold.
  9. I can't believe you just said 'stanced'. Jesus. Drive it around a little bit, then look under the arches. If you see a clean spot, hit it. Use some caution, don't go demolishing shit with a 20lb hammer, and it'll be fine.
  10. Good effort. Make sure you give the inner guard skin way up in the wheel arch some hammer lovin' too.
  11. Spotted DRC (I think? The Subie from the track day) turning into a side street at the King William end of Hindley a little before 10am.
  12. Just another 4 or 5 years to go then?
  13. Dude clearly hates that car. Disappointed it isn't a VL.
  14. I'm using them at the moment. Put them through a track day on Monday with some pretty angry pads. Pretty happy with them, they took a day of pretty solid abuse and shrugged it off.
  15. He's pretty good with a camera, that Adam bloke.
  16. POKE is a pretty sweet car. Much love for that rig.
  17. f**k oath it does. Marias be all over your dick with that shit. Thanks to Jenkies for this one. With Marvey in the passenger seat.
  18. Missed this. That is a concern, but I'll just deal for now. Should be enough left in the injectors when the leak is sorted. After that I'm just gonna drive it and enjoy it for a while. ID2000's, more boost, 4.11 rear, etc may come later, but before I even think about that, I'm thinking BM50.
  19. Sweet 16's Josh. (seriously, cool pic, more impromptu smoke shows need to be happening soon).
  20. Got tired of waiting for an email. Took a photo of a piece of paper. Stayin' classy.
