  1. When I get the leak sorted, I'll think about an extra few psi. I'm not sure how much fuel my tiny little 850's have left in them though... I don't think I'll ever be able to go to Garrett as a first option on a Nissan, hell, on anything after this. Everything just feels so damn good about it. Defs glad I ordered mine when I did. And now for what everyone has been waiting for. I got tired of waiting for the readout to get emailed to me, so I did the typical internet thing and took a photo of the printout.
  2. I have a great deal of trouble seeing why it would be. Cop might say it, Regency guy will likely laugh at it. I have my water temp gauge on top of my steering column, and my boost gauge in front of my cluster, neither block the speedo, inspector at Regency looked right at them, at proceeded to ask me about my Pivot water temp gauge, and where he could get one.
  3. Basically you can't legally mount them anywhere where a) your head is likely to impact in the case of a collision, b) your passenger(s) head is likely to impact in the case of a collision, or c) anywhere you or your passenger(s) head is unlikely to impact in case of a collision. So basically, air vents and din pockets are fine. Defi do a pretty sweet single din sized triple cluster. Anywhere on the crash pad, around the steering wheel, or bafflingly enough, on the A pillar, not legal... Unless factory fitted, in the case of JDM S15's.
  4. Supra 4/2 calipers, or UCF30 Brembos.
  5. /Generic recommendation for All Type.
  6. Cheers! Couple things to consider about the number, 1st, I have a leak somewhere, so I'm bleeding boost, I peak at 17 but drop fairly quickly down to 15, ergo, it's not running at its potential. When I get that leak located and sealed, I can run 17-18psi the whole range, and probably pick up a good handful of kw. Second, it's on a Mainline. The Willall dyno is a pretty hungry little thing. I could roll up on the nearest DD and pick up 20kw on the same day. Hell, for all I know I'm running out of fuel. I was too excited when I picked it up to worry about such small things as injector dc... As to its equivalent in Garrett... Shit. I don't really know. Equal parts 2871 and 3071. But it feels so much better than either of those.
  7. Skids were had. Made 261 on a mainline. Cams sound a lot angrier than 262's. And I think I've got an air leak. Boost drops from 17 to 15psi. I'll get that sorted and then go back on the dyno. Should be able to pick up a few more kw.
  8. Tuned by Willall Racing today. So after a long year, I can finally report some results. Mainline dyno. BC 262 cams. (I think they may be larger, it sounds real angry at idle). 140-145 compression across the board. E85 with SARD 850cc injectors. Blitz SBC-S boost controller. Custom made thick walled S/S manifold. And finally, there's an air leak somewhere. Inlet manifold I think, gets up to 17psi nice and quick, drops to 15psi, and holds. Probably a handful of KW to be liberated there. Anyway, results, 261 @ 17psi (bleeding off to 15). Full boost somewhere around the 3,400rpm mark. It always wants to get onto boost, cruising at 90km/h in 5th gear and you just have to breath on the pedal and it comes onto boost. Comes on nice and strong, but even with my dodgy 11 o'clock at night eye alignment, it's very controllable. And yet, it'll quite happily chalk 255's in 3rd. And it sounds f**king brilliant. Gonna get it smoke tested if I can find someone that does it, seal up that leak, and put it back on the dyno. I've asked the tuner (Donnon) to email the dyno sheet, so hopefully I'll be able to get that up in the coming days.
  9. Good God... Glad they're not staying.
  10. It was me on my last trip to the ACT. Sorry guys. (it was pretty fun though).
  11. Got the box back in, got everything hooked up and gave the key a crank... IT F**KING RUNS!! Had a bit of trouble turning it over at first, thought it was the battery, cleaned a bunch of shit and it (more or less) started right up. Idle is a bit rough and high, but that's probably the 550/pulp base map scaling up to 850/E85 more than anything. Bleed the clutch and brakes, bleed the coolant, refit the front end, and it's ready to go to Willall.
  12. Didn't get around to wiring it in unfortunately. And being one of those things that could quite easily turn into a massive clusterf**k, I've decided to put it on the back burner for now. Got a track day on the 16th, which I am not under any circumstances going to miss... As it is, the car still hasn't been started in 12+ months... Tune will be with the low pressure actuator for about 14psi, then after track day, LQ9's will be going in, 18 psi actuator fitted, and tuned for 20ish psi.
  13. Finally booked my car in for a tune next week. Should have results for the 6258/SR20 combo next Tuesday.
  14. SL's you say? How very R33 owner of you... Spotted Munro's 35 at Willall this morning, and his brother in the truck on Uley rd about half an hour ago.
  15. I've dropped gearboxes, replaced clutches, and all that shit before, hell, I've even recently dropped the rear sub frame out of my car on my garage floor. Awkward job if there ever was one. Hell, I've even done the engine mounts on this car before, but then, as with most major shit, I've had the benefit of a hoist, and qualified mechanics nearby. But doing SR engine mounts, on the ground, is by far the single most shit irritating thing I have ever done. Passenger side is relatively straight forward, plenty of room to work with, even with the meat hammers I call hands, made even easier with a top mount turbo. Drivers side... well... that's a little different. On a hoist it's problematic, but manageable. Maybe a 30 minute job. Today it took me more than 90 minutes with my old mate helping. Such an awkward job. I'd rather do a set of turbos on a GTR... Anyway, we won eventually. New mounts are basically just cylinders of uhm... something, It's pretty solid, with a length of high tensile threaded rod through the middle. Pretty stout, should do the trick. It's in there somewhere, I promise. My garage is a picture of oganised chaos, as usual; And while I may lack a hoist/pit (massive sads, bloke down the road has a pit, mad jelly), I guess I make do; Box is ready to go back in... Tomorrow... Or Wednesday; And the clutch is in; And seeing as I had it out, some pics of the very cool 1 piece dump/front/"cat"; I dig it. Getting f**king close to finished now.
  16. So I'm a bit of a strange person. I'm not sure if it's the industry I work in, and the bizarre hours I work that go with it that have made me this way, or if I always was. An example of this follows; So it's a Saturday night, a little after midnight, and you're bored. So what do you do? I'd assume you're already out with the intention of finishing the night with less of a face than Seal, and if you're not, well, that's typically a pretty solid plan. Not me though, I decided I'd drop my gearbox to do my clutch. Thoughts; 1. This is a bigger pain in the ass than I imagined. Doing it on the floor of your garage, by your onesies at 2am is pretty shit. 2. It's worse if you have a shitty Chinese short shifter than refuses to f**king release from the box. 3. Universal joints are the most amazing thing ever. 4. Gearboxes are heavy. Try to keep your crotch anywhere but under one. 5. Beer is almost as good as uni joints. 6. If you're thinking about doing the same next time you're bored. Don't. Pay someone else. Seriously though, China short shifter is the bane of my existence. When it was in the car, it rattled and clunked like a Lada Niva, and when trying to remove the box, it's sole purpose was to make you want to neck yourself. The lower half simply refused to come free of the box. After much swearing, many beers, and more violence than I typically like to apply to a car, I finally managed to release the box from the death grips of the shifter. I then failed to keep track of the position of my body under the car, and my crotch had a minor disagreement with the gearbox. I'm now fairly certain I will never be able to have children... Anyway; Now it's about time I got some sleep. New clutch and engine mounts going in this afternoon, then it's time for the fun fun fun task of putting the box back in. ... I think I need more beer.
  17. Now taking offers on the Regamasters. Kinda feel like a change.
  18. Just an EOI at this stage. I wouldn't mind replacing them with a set of 18's, but I love these wheels, and am in absolutely no rush to sell. 17x9 +18 with 225/45 Kumho KU36 with 70%ish tread, and 17x10 +20 with brand new 255/40 Federal SS595. They were recently stripped back to bare metal and professionally painted in metallic silver, come complete with centre caps. As usual with painted wheels, some paint has been stripped off the bolt holes by the wheel nuts, but it's only evident when you remove the wheel. There is some light guttering on one of the wheels, but again, it isn't really noticeable. I'll get pics of both up in time. Very lightweight wheels, comparable to TE's. Plenty of caliper clearance, and they look tough on just about anything. If you want more pics, just ask. As for price... Taking offers above 3k. And again, I am in absolutely no rush to sell these. And unless you have something pretty special to offer, I'm not interested in trades. Contact via PM. Cheers!

  20. +1. Pretty rad dude running the joint. Good prices too. And Art Metal Coatings in Holden Hill get a recommendation from me too.
  21. http://www.gamefront.com/rumor-mass-effect-3-dlc-the-truth-due-in-april/ I smell a rat...
  22. And it's done. Big thanks to Andrew and Pete for their donations!
  23. So anyone who knows someone or has known someone with leukemia knows it's some pretty f**ked up shit. I've unfortunately known 2 with it, 1 was a very good friend of mine that lost his battle almost as soon as it began, the other, many years later is still hanging around making off coloured jokes and sharing beers. So I figure, I may as well throw my very generous head of hair into the mix, I've set my goal at a fairly modest $125, and if you feel like helping me out, you can sponsor me here. Even if it's a dollar, every bit helps. Cheers!
  24. Done. Picked synthesis first. Wasn't shocked, I was disappointed, then confused. Then I reloaded and went through the other 2. Disappointment stayed. It really does feel rough, and unfinished. Felt like I got railroaded more than a little bit too. There was an article earlier which described the ending like a movie that was great up until the last 5 minutes. Plan was to finish it, and like the last 2, jump right back in for a second serving, but finishing it has left a sour taste in my mouth... And why in the name of Zues' butthole was the Normandy running away from the battle of all battles? I didn't know I had a crew full of pussies.
  25. Just hit 34 hours. On my final push through London. The hordes of Brutes, Banshees and Marauders at the missile batteries makes for some uh... Colourful language. Missed a couple side missions when they went dark after the shit at the Citadel. Explored most planets. Ended up going for the end game with 3300 something EMS. Krogan, Turian, STG, Geth, and Quarian on board. Next game I'll try for 4000 without touching multiplayer.
