  1. The article was UK not Aus. There will not be so many here. Initially at least.
  2. If you mean per car its just under $110,000 aus.
  3. school holidays? coincidence? Hey... piss off.
  4. spotted blonde driving nice silver34 sedan slammed on white five spokes with dish this morning in peak hour on south rd.
  5. went along last night to the show.... even though I was fortunate enough to be in tokyo to see the new GTR at autosalon in january.... the 35 is an awesome machine in the flesh!! I stood and stared for nearly 10 minutes checking out all the angles. If you haven't seen one in the flesh it is worth the $14 just to see it... Enjoy guys.
  6. That would be ryan... aka ISC
  7. hey Ryan, yeah I am using 35 profile tyres, and my intended usage is track days and street but the car is not a daily so it can lean a little more towards track.... What sort of price would a set of ISCs to suit? I am considering getting some 17s with some semi slicks for the track.
  8. hey pete, yeah I am using same 265x35x18s.... not real sticky ones tho. They simply did not have enough grip around mallala. Good fun all the same!! But I dont know where the shocks are set... will have a play with the stiff/soft settings and see how it goes... however most people I talk with say that the Teins work real well on the GTRs.
  9. Hey guys, just wondering what the concensus with GTR owners was regarding suspension setup. My 32 has Apexi adjustables at the moment which is good, but I find it slightly hard and it tends to skip over harsh small bumps. Seems good at moderate speeds and smooth roads and has no bodyroll... I don't know if is simply not setup right or if Apex should just stick with electronics. How much will a decent set of tyres affect my setup also? Interested to hear from you GTR owners on your experiences as everyone I speak too has a different opinion ie Tein coilovers, Bilsteins etc...
  10. I reckon sambo33 is out your way with a nice black 33.... correct me if I am wrong...
  11. Some valid comments above.... In my opinion I would suggest an R31 silhouette manual in good condition..... do a little work to the suspension, get some rims and a decent stereo and enjoy til you build up a rating for insurance and get a little older/more experienced. These are reasonable power output, rear drive, well balanced/reliable and decent fuel economy for a young underpaid fella. Start saving for something with more performance down the track.... anyone in the car scene will tell you that cars will cost you a packet in running costs /maintenance/ insurance etc. Learn to handle and respect your vehicle before upgrading to something hipo!
  12. Haha nah.... just soft lighting pete!!
  13. yep quins!!!
  14. All good advice above... and most of us have been in the same boat. It took me 16 years to be able to afford my GTR... and now that I have one I love it .....but it mostly sits in the shed. For a young guy I definitely would say mod the Gtst without going nuts. I had one for six years with 200rwkw and it was a reliable great fun and daily driven car. That is the SMART choice. A GTR is a great car but does require expensive parts and maintenance, especially at the age most are now. Enjoy....
  15. Congrats.. and cars look awesome as always!
  16. Hell yeah count me in!! I can't wait for another blast!
  17. ^^ agreed... I was on my street cheap-ass crap tyres also. They certainly do make the difference. Next time I will definitely be rollin' on something a bit stickier! I had a quick word to the guy from the GP rally that was in the 33... he was runnin' 1:21s!!
  18. Hey pal, I was out there too.... saw your ride but didn't know who you were!! Nice times indeed... I was only running low 1:30s in a 32 GTR (have run 1:27s in a Gts-t) as I was tryin to save my car from the heat!! Bloody hell it was HOT!!! I ended up boiling my brake fluid and losing them altogether!! I was considerate enough to pull off line and allow the quicker guys to go past and gave em a wave thru... no hassles. Perhaps she should have been given a black flag and had a caution to let the faster cars by?? Anyways, I still had a blast... bring on the next one.... and cooler weather.
  19. Condolences David. I know I was gutted when my blue heeler passed on, chin up, he will always be in your memory. Give the GTR a lil' "walkies!!!".. that will no doubt put a smile back on your dial.
  20. Spotted STAG34 and MISR33 both on south rd on my way home from track day (Mon)
  21. David... nice numbers there for sure.... I would suggest if you want another tune to see John Keen at Southern Hi-Tech dyno. He does good work. Enjoy your newfound power mate! Good advice from sled and the boys above too.... the last thing you want after the long wait is a grenade resulting in another one!!!
  22. I reckon Autostyle has had a 22B for sale here in aus for some time at around 100k aussie.
  23. My ex cost me over a hundred grand and two cars!!!! I have never spent that much on my vehicles....
  24. IF you are turning 30 and want to get cover so you get the lowest price you HAVE to get hospital cover not just extras!! I have just had to do the same. Ended up going with AHM and so far so good.
  25. the 14th being a Friday?? Ummm, I'll be working for one... you would be better to schedule a cruise for a weekend to get a decent turnout. Otherwise yeah sounds good.
