  1. lol yeah.... but no, there were subtle differences as each model was refined over the previous one... torque ratings also changed marginally too. As I said I am no expert but things like minor head improvements/ valve springs things like this I believe to have been improved in later RB26s. No real downside to having a newer motor.
  2. HOSTILE

    Ebc

Blitz sbc spec R.... works a treat.
  3. I am not a mechanical expert by any means but as far as I know there is not a huge amount of difference.... I know the clutch changed from a push type to a pull type (or the other way round) but I dont think there was any major changes otherwise. Basically the fresher the engine the better!
  4. Thats a good thing for sure!!
  5. Nah Lee, I sold it to finance a trip to japan next january for tokyo Autosalon.... and a Dunnydore!!
  6. Its really a case of how heavy your right foot is!! Boost it and they will drink. Putt around off boost and its like a small car.
  7. Agreed... and my daily runabout is a 5 litre manual commodore.... not worried about fuel consumption! Used to being raped at the pump!!
  8. I reckon I got around 400km or so to a tank coming back from brisbane.... so its probably not a lot different to your current situation.
  9. Seriously... if you want 300kw at the wheels, then we are talking in the region of 500hp at the motor.... I have never tested the fuel economy. If you are worried about that then perhaps its not for you. Not trying to be rude but thats the reality here. You will probably find that most GTR owners have a second car or cheap runabout also... A GTR as your only car could get expensive as you say.
  10. No comparison.... The first thing you notice in a GTR is the amount of grip, or the feeling of stability. The GTS-t feels a lot more twitchy where the GTR just sticks. You often don't feel like your pushing the GTR until you glance at the speedo!! It is just effortless.
  11. Yep was a 32 tho... had 200kw at wheels.
  12. Yep Shaun you spot on... As I said before mine has a later model RB26 that came with HKS cams, bigger injectors, N1 spec turbos and a fuel reg. Dyno at stock boost was 233kw at wheels Put in power fc... tune at 13.5 psi= 251.4kw at wheels (conservative tune waiting on better clutch and boost control) Added blitz sbc spec R and twin plate clutch= easy 303.5kw at wheels on only 18psi. I still have stock dump pipes as well!! There is no comparison between GTR and GTS-t.... TOTALLY different driving experience. There is nothing like stepping off the clutch at 7000 rpm and launching a GTR.... everything else disappears in the distance behind you!!
  13. I paid 25k for my 32 GTR just over 12 months ago and it came with r34 motor, cams, N1 spec turbos and heaps of other goodies... Pay a little more get a lot more sort of thing...
  14. I reckon its about time a mod closed this thread.... Agree to disagree people... variety is the spice of life and all that shit!!
  15. \ I tried to get on sunday but was told it was booked out.... was gonna try up the boost a little on my 303.5kw run.
  16. As deluxe said... its Matts car.... awesome sounding too! well done all, especially PK and flick for the organisation. Congrats Cara... hope you like the dyno pic above!
  17. And again...
  18. couple more....
  19. A few snaps of mine....
  20. I know the feeling Chris!! There is only one way to go from here tho..... GTR!!! Cheers, Martin. Stop in and say hi at Autosalon this weekend mate.
  21. +1 for nice clean GTS... I have seen/driven this car and it was schmick... +1 again for stupid bitch!! Go the GTR jack! (not that I am biased...)
  22. Both are awesome.... What sort of price are cars of this calibre pulling at auction in japan??
  23. good luck getting it back dude.... hope its not trashed! This is F*#KING nuts... people please lock 'em up secure, get an alarm if you don't have one coz these pricks are getting more brazen every day!!
  24. Its in the council depot next door to the sturt police complex. Just drive in and join the queue/fill out forms. cost $25 payable at marion rego after inspection. They will just check engine no, compliance plate and rego plates. 17's should be ok, but they may pull you up for any blatantly obvious defects tho. generally its pretty cruisy, but they only open a couple of days per week usually 10-3ish. ^^ok what they said!!
  25. Happy Birthday mate...
