Hey guys, spoke to Geof (the organiser) the other day and apparently space is filling up fast. We are able to enter six cars to form a club display. It is at wayville showgrounds on the 8th and 9th December. cost is $60 per car... free dyno etc check out www.extremehorsepower.com.au or call geof 0410 356 356. So, before we start arguing over who is gonna enter, do we have six keen people?? Ok, so far we have interested: MissR34.......... _OUT_ individual display now Nightcrawler?....r34sedan mxtcy..............r34sedan zillagtr..............r32gtr gzilla................r32gtr ? ? ? check this link for flier..... www.extremehorsepower.com.au thanks.

Yep scott and vic have closed the shop, I have used action suspension and steering in edwardstown and they were excellent... give em a try.
-
There are a couple of places on south rd near hilton... adelaide wheel and rim works I think is one.
-
Depends how much boost you gonna hit it with... my guess at say 17-18psi would be just over 200kw at wheels.
-
Was tuned at Southern Hi-Tech Dyno Tune. Could have pushed it further but I decided to keep it sensible and reliable. John keen did the tuning... very good.
-
Mine is very similar in specs, am using what I believe to be 550 injectors and HKS cams = 303.5kw at wheels using 18psi not to over-stress the stock internals. Also I am still using standard dump pipes and AFMs!!
-
Well, lets nominate some cars and vote on the best suited to enter.... or do we even have six interested people??
-
Well not really... how interesting would it be looking at 25 nearly stock commodores? This has been done to keep the quality up. Pick six quality cars to represent the club instead, however Geof may be open to negotiate here?? Oh, have updated first post... entry is $60 not $50 as previously stated.

Hey Guys, just got the heads up that Extreme Horsepower promotions has been sold to Geof (former owner of EMTECH automotive). This means the Extreme Horsepower Show is in for some BIG changes!! There is a new show coming to Adelaide real soon... in fact its scheduled for December 8/9 . This will be held at wayville showgrounds and is open to ALL categories, such as high-tech, imports, hot rods, bikes, muscle, euro ... you name it. Judging will be done by the ENTRANTS! .. Each entrant gets a sheet and can score every vehicle on show.(Not just one or two biased pricks that only like monaros!) Cost is $60 per car includes two tickets and BBQ. Entrants also get FREE DYNO!! Club displays are limited to six cars only.... so who is keen?? This should be great... now we won't be snubbed for having late model cars and will be elligible for plenty of award categories!! Contact Shane on 0411475779 or Geof on 0410356356

Lol at 10 min!! Yeah i guess.... My 32 has a few mods, 34 spec motor, N1 turbos, HKS cams, injectors, exhaust, power FC, blitz boost control, apexi suspension, volk wheels etc... its good fun with 303.5kw at wheels (18 psi). Is there much in the way of drag strip/ circuit events up top? Perhaps a run out to litchfield park might be in order instead of just cruisin' the city? still dunno exactly when i'll be up tho!

HOSTILE replied to kralster's topic in South Australia
I have had a sony dscp8 and currently a nikon D50 slr, but I sell sony and panasonic cameras at my work. -
Hey David, sounds great... I was over there for six weeks about 18 months ago. My fave spots were Austria and Holland, tho I never got to Prague. Hope you enjoy the rest of the trip... Will have to check out the GTR when you return. Cheers, Martin.

yeah will come thru Alice... pity bout the new speed limits out there!! So no real skyline get togethers up top? Not enough 'lines? or not enough enthusiasts? I thought there was about 150,000 people in Darwin?
-
Hey guys, My mother lives in the Casuarina area, and I was up there last weekend for a lookaround... Saw very few skylines, but did see a couple of 33s and a nice silver 32 GTR with the plates GDZILA or similar. I'm gonna be back up in a couple of months and thinkin of driving up in the GTR this time (yes I know its a f*kn long way from adelaide) and doin some cruising around the city of Darwin. Is there much of a cruise scene? Many skylines getting around? Whats the go in the top end?
-
Yep I am interested ppls...

Welcome, nice choice of ride! Pics or ban!! jokes.... Should make some healthy power when you get it sorted... enjoy.

There is no simple answer here... its a matter of personal opinion. Drive both then you will know which you enjoy more. Personally... (and I will probly get flamed for this but...) there are a lot of "nice"33s getting around, there is no substitute for a GTR. You must weigh this up with practicality of everyday driving, maintenance costs etc Good luck.

They are great cars... I have had six of 'em!! Very strong reliable cars. Expect to pay $2-5000 roughly depending on spec and condition. Recommend hunting down a GTS version.. fairly rare but some available. They have cam and head work, nice seats,16 inch wheels, bilstein suspension etc... Probly round the $5000+ mark Wheels are a little difficult to fit coz they are four stud so your typical 32/33 wheels wont go. Some early silvia rims would fit. As flick said R31skylineclub.com will have all the answers...

Queen St = Tools.
-
Ha yeah, me and SNIPER are on it too, well the back of our heads anyways lol.
-
Very nice car you have there... and nice pics too. I look forward to seeing it at one of our SA cruises. Basically it will be a bit of a pain in the arse to get thru our notorious Regency Park inspection depot. Lots of things will need to be removed before they register it here, however you will get away with some gear too. Power FC, boost controls, turbo timers, coil overs and loud exhaust will not be passed.

VEILSIDE... Compiled from other threads also thanks... showroom open 10 - 6 not wednesday Take the new Tsukuba Express from Akihabara. Get off at Midorino station (43 min from Akiba) and you can either walk to Veilside 10-15 min down the main road, or take a taxi for 2-3 min found a map but not real helpful sorry... http://www.veilsidejpn.com/profile/map.html

I'll start with the Nismo factory (OMORI) as stated in another thread... 1. IN SHORT..... Omorikaigan station on the Keikyu line, which goes through Shinagawa. Head out of the station and go North East. It's across the road from the horse race course. www.nismo.co.jp 2. MORE DETAIL.....Take Yamanote line to Shinagawa. Switch to/follow the signs to the Keikyu line, buy a ticket at the window to Omorikaigan station I think its 160yen from Shinagawa. Its the first platform you see when you go thru the ticket gates. Wait for a local train. If you accidently get the express it takes you 4 stops past Omorikaigan and you have to get off and backtrack. Done this when in a hurry before its a royal pain in the ass. Get off the train at Omorikaigan, go outside the station and take the pedestrian footbridge to the other side of the road. Go down to your left and walk for 5-10 minutes till you hit Nismo. Nismo Omori Factory has yet again changed its opening schedule. Now open only Fri/Sat/Sundays Please feel free to add further directions...

As the topic suggests the aim of this thread is to compile a list of tuning shops, directions on how to get there and opening times etc.. It seems to be a commonly asked question in the Japan section, so please guys no chit chat, lets compile a good helpful list for those heading over on holidays... Thanks, M.
