hey guys, at the moment my r33 gt-st has the standard yellow park lights and they are getting abit dim. my driving lights are HIDS and i want the park lights to have the same colour as my driving lights. does anyone know what i should replace the standard park lights with? i have searched but as usual the search utility is pretty useless.

take it to a tyre shop, it will cost you like $10 to get the old one cut off. cheers -
Restoring Faded Leather Steering Wheel
hayden49 replied to hayden49's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
I dont need to drive during the week now. i get picked up from my front door by my tradie for my job. hhm... ill have a look around for a decent aftermarket airbag wheel. cheers -
Hey guys, my R33 gt-st has some faded spots on the steering wheel. i think the guy who had it before me had the brilliant idea of using armour all on the leather! :S anyways, i have tried meguiars rich leather on it and it cleaned up some of the faded spots however, there are still some spots no matter how many times i apply the rich leather, the faded spots still return. anyone know how much it would cost to get the leather re-done on a steering wheel? cheers

hey pals, abit off topic but what orbital buffers do you use? i was thinking about just buying a shitty gmc orbital buffer and some good quality microfirbre buffing cloths. will this do or should i save and buy a better quality buffer? cheers

hey man, look in the tutorial section for "Cleaning you AAC valve" i can almost guarantee this will fix your problem. after time the aac valve gets full of crud and carbon build up. spray it out with carby cleaner and put it back together. its easy as to do, im pretty useless at diy now i can do it in like 30 mins. cheers

uumm.... If you had taken the time to read my posts, you would see my car DOES NOT have the abs module, and yes i knew why it is called abs.
-
Yeah im going to invest in a really decent set after i get the 100k service done. gonna take it to a brake repair shop and see if i need new rotors etc. Wouldnt mind some DBA slotted rotors. hhm...
-
Well yeah mines a series 2 gt-st and it doesnt have it..... hhm... is it possible it has been moved?
-
Thought so, but was abs a factory option? i have done some hard braking but have never locked up my brakes yet even with the pedal to the floor? hhm... really weird.
-
Hey guys i have seen this part on many r33's but i cant seem to find this part in my engine bay. what is it? im guessing the ABS module? but wtfens, was ABS an option? my car is a 1996 r33 gt-st.

Yeah i know Chris. I havnt had another alarm installed elsewhere, just with paying an electricity bill, rego and my 100k service money is abit tight when i have gone back to $300 a week. when i have some spare cash saved up ill still get you to do it.
-
Bleh do they remove them when they are imported? cos my car is 96 r33 gt-st and it has the shitty reflector type lights.
-
Was that a serious reply or not?
-
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DONT GO TO JB!!! THEY WOULDNT KNOW SH*T FROM CLAY!! Talk to Chris Rogers on this website, he will probably know someone near you and get them to do it for you, TALK TO HIM FIRST!! I got stung with that sh*t brand on alarm.

I found a good cheap boost controller for $22!!!
hayden49 replied to CEF11E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
i attached the turbo tech to the wastegate actuator line as per instructions, put a screw into the rubber hose that is attached to the plumback blow off valve inlet return hose and used the vacum line that the plumback blow off valve line uses. im guessing that the BOV and turbo tech cant be both hooked up to the same vac line. ill just get an exhaust shop to weld a nipple on my cooler pipe where the stock nipple was then go from there. -

ska, woulda that be the same line that the bov would be attached to? or different one altogether? i have the stock plenum. -

bleh i tried to install mine today, and when i drove the boost jumped to the end of the guage almost straight away, i think its because my cooler doesnt have a nipple where the stock one was and i plumbed the boost controller into the vacum line the blow off valve is on. would this have caused it? i nearly shat my pants aye haha, i put the stock one back on for now. cheers -
when i open a door and push the little button thing that should turn the light off, nothing happens, neither the drivers or passenger button makes the light turn off, which leads me to think that something is shorting out somewhere, but thats the problem... SOMEWHERE! i have been looking under my dash at the wires and nothing appears to be out of place, god only knows, i was doing some work in the engine bay, i may have knocked something loose in there?
-
Wouldnt be the noise of the timing belt on the way out? mine makes kind of a DDD D D D D D D D noise at low revs, im currently getting the parts for the 100k service and hopefully this should fix the problem.

Hey guys, just out of the blue my interior light in my car has deicided to turn on even if the doors are closed and the car is locked?? also, i turned on my head lights, and my front right one didnt work, so i turned them off then back on and then the front left one didnt work, so i turned them off and on again and now they BOTH work. but the interior light still stays on even when the doors are closed and locked. if i move the light to "OFF" then yeah it stays off, but if its in the middle position, where usualy if you open a door it turns on, it just stays on all the time. its really annoying me, i cant think of what it might be! the only thing electrical ive done lately is install a sub and amp, but they have been working fine for 2 weeks. A while ago a mouse somehow got into our lockup garage and chewed a whole bunch of the wires in my sister brand new astra, boy was she pissed. im really hoping thats now what has happened here.

I didnt think you had to display a front number plate? Im pretty sure by law your not required to, but if they pull you up on that and you show them the legislation in writing, they are going to rape you for as much other stuff as they can.

Im guessing the car does not have an after market ECU? if this is the case im pretty sure there is not alot that can be *tuned*. i think they can check your air/fuel ratios and thats about it. the stock ecu maps can't be changed without a remap. anyone feel free to correct me if im wrong.

the funniest ive had is a charade with a huge drift mounted auto technica cannon hanging off the back. i just looked at him and shook my head, even using 1/4 throttle to beat him is WAY to much fuel to waste, specially at $1.40 a liter.
