Bleh its a $10 part from ryco. I replace it everytime i do my oil which is usually every 3000km's. Cheap insurance and even if there is no scientific benefit there is peace of mind for me. cheers

It appears to come fron the center vent, where the boost gauge cable runs from, bleh just another thing to try and fix. Hahaha if ONE single week went by when i didnt have to try cure a random noise in my skyline id die of shock. cheers

I ran the cable to my boost gauge down the center air vent, that was about 4 months ago, and its been fine since then, now all of a sudden its going it, could the cable have fallen into the gears or something? Bleh i have to take the dash facia off on the weekend to install a din pocket and remove the hicas bulb so i guess ill try figure it out then. cheers

As the title says, yesterday morning my climate control in my r33 series 2 makes a *knock knock knock* noise when ever i turn the car on or change the mode the climate control is running in, i.e windows, to drives legs. It sounds to me like plastic gears or something is clicking. When i turn the climte control unit off an on again it usualy goes away, sometimes it clicks for 5 seconds, other times 20 seconds. Is this a common problem? Cheers

Hey peoples, When i bought my series 2 r33 one of the DIN pockets below the head unit had been replaced with $2.95 universal one that doesnt fit properly and looks sh*thouse! Where can i get an original DIN pocket from? Cheers

Ahhhh k then, I thought a globe light up a few different lights though?

I could be totally wrong but isnt that a sign of a blown head gasket? Im not a mechanic though so dont take my word. cheers

When you install these lock bars is there a way to get rid of the little "HICAS" light being on? Im keen for a lock bar but that would annoy the shit out of me. Cheers

Lol the box in my 96 r33 is getting abit tired, and by tired im mean shit house. Each gear change is accompanied by a nice "crunch" as the gear is selected..... *sigh* if only i could afford to get a new box or just the synchros replaced in mine. cheers

I was just watching my defi guage replays, and my turbo tech buils boost in first gear, when i change to second boost drops down the vacum but then instantly goes back up to 0.7BAR. Is this normal? Or do you mean when you change the boost drops down to 0 then slowly has to build up again? cheers

Hate to say it but thats exactly why you try take the filler off first dude. That way incase you cant get it off you can take your car somewhere and get them to get it off, at the moment its stuck on there and you cant even drive somewhere to get help. Have you searched around for a square socket? cheers

lolol i have this exact turbo timer and it drives me nuts too! I usually leave it off now and use my head unit as the timer, i also try not to put the right foot down when im getting close to home. cheers

Hey guys just wondering, the BATMBL pipes that are being sold in the GB section, are the dump pipes on them 3"? In the pictures of it, the dump looks smaller then the rest of the pipe which i assume to be 3"? Can any tell me whether the dump is 3"? cheers

Well if you NEED to, go a plum back dude, i havnt had a problem with my bov at all, no idling issues or stalling. If you have the standard ECU definately go plumb back.

Are the dump pipes that are built into these front pipes 3"? In the pictures of this dump/front combo the dump looks to be of small size then the rest of the pipe. Can anyone clarify this for me? cheers

Better yet, keep your original BOV and eliminate all your problems. Personally id rather my car run properly then have a full sick phhhs phss whistle whistle where are the chicks? sound. My car came with a turbo smart plum back bov but if i didnt i wouldnt have bothered spending that much to replace something that already works just fine.

Yeah pal, you can pull the electronic standard solenoid out and use this. Standard turbo is good for 14 psi but im pretty sure the standard computer turns to rich and retard mode after 12 psi. cheers

Hey guys, Lately my brakes have been squealing when i brake very lightly, e.g coming into a parking space and i apply the brakes lightly to stop and park and EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKK! A horrible squealing noise, it makes me embarassed to park my car. I have tried braking very hard from say 8-km/h down to 0 to *burn off* the top layer of my brake pads but it still squeals. any ideas? cheers

I cut open the old filter and there was nothing in it. Im guessing that when i twisted off my old oil filter i must of brushed off some sandy shit from somewhere in my engine bay and it has fallen down into the pan. cheers
