Secondly, perhaps you should approach John first, & if he is interested, he could give some estimated quantities.. then we have a start. But before I can start with material compound options I need to show them the product, raw. So if the option with John works out, & he agrees to send a sample to melbourne, we're off and running.

I still need a lip for a day or two to show them, otherwise I'll just buy a genuine series 3 lip, but buggered if I have to do that.

took me about 1month before i got pulled over. They said we'd like to do a roadworthy on the car.. I said no problems I recently bought the car & have the RW certificate here, and then I gave it to "junior", Whilst senior was doing the routine "playing with his ball bags" in the cop car. Junior begins his RWC.. after about a minute or so comes up to me & says "doooh!.. do you need to turn the ingition on to turn your lights on?? I can't get the ignition to switch on" I go .."nah mate, see this here, it's your light switch, go'on try it... see this, it's the remote press that & the ignition switch on" Then senior comes up & says, no problems mate everythings fine, then stats to rubbing my rear spoiler "carbon fibre blade", & the look on his face was like he was pulling himself fantasising about "junior".. I go "you right there?" he goe "doooh.. yeh mate.. that's different" After all that I say to them, "I got baby seat in the car, so I fgure, you didn't pull me over coz I was hoonin, honestly guys.. was it coz you wanted to see a GTR in the flesh ;)".. he replys "no, just a routine check"

They look like the same ones I have on my GTR R33. Hope that helps.

I'm going the next stage on the GTR & fitting some HKS GT2530's. But wanted some opinions regarding: 1. Injectors? 2. Fuel Pump? 3. Fuel Pressure regulator? 4. Anything else you can think of? The car currently makes 270rwkw, & I'm considering going with the following items... Confirmed= HKS GT2530's Confirmed= HKS EVC 3 Boost Controller Confirmed= Z32 AFMS UNconfirmed= 600cc or SARD 700cc injectors? Noticed that some injectors need to be modified to fit, some need fuel rails etc etc.. No idea UNconfirmed= Fuel pump Bosch 975, 040, 044?? No idea UNconfirmed= Intercooler.. most likely keeping the stock unit Currently, the internals are stock bar the Adjustable Cam Gears, & i have the following mods. Power FC Exhaust Dumps=Stock Front Pipes= twin 2.5" into 3" Cat= Stock Cat Back= 80mm Once the upgrade is confirmed will I have any issue's with stock internals pushing above 300kw at the wheel?

Hi Shaun, That's fantastic, for such power. I'd be interested to know was this on street tyres? & is there a trick to your drag style eg: launch rpm? do you side step the clutch? Since ICE tuned my car at racepace, the thing is just awesome. Launches are around 5500-6000, but I get wheelspin through all of first gear, admittably I has Nitrogen in my tyres & pressure is around 36-38psi...

I just had my PFC tuned on the GTR "for the second time in 3 weeks"... first mistake not taking to ICE Poerformance [shut up INASNT ] second mistake I initially had it tuned by another "so called Apexi Specialist" who stuffed it up a beauty. Thanks to ICE it runs like a real GTR should.

Dunno if this is th right place so dont bagg me.. but I take my hat off in saddnes when i write this. Just heard on 3AW that family off hooksy is right now contemplating switching off his life support. I like many, don't know the full details of what happened & think if anyone is shameless enough to say hooksy deserved it, or the bouncer should rott in hell, perhaps hold these thoughts close to your chest until the trial is finished. It was just announced the bouncer can only be charged with assault as his blow did not kill hooksy, the fall is what killed him. Laws like that are rediculous if this turns out to be the case. I feel sad, for the families of all.. & just thought I'd let you all know.

That would be fantastic if you could arrange that. Time wise?? I'll confirm on monday for you. The material used could be anything, however he mention that most body parts are made from a poly "something or other" & that he could do the same, however this can be costly... so on monday we could determ our options regarding materials. Strength?? well I figure if we could keep the end cost around the same price as the fibreglass lips, & these ones being much more resistant to cracking, have close to or better flexing abilities than the genuine... which product do you think, would be more attractive?

Guys, I spoke to a business contact today who runs an plastic vacuum/injection moulding company, about copying parts (In particular Series 3 Lip) & making them from a poly"something or other" plastic, rather than fibreglass. He said no problems, I just need the part to show him. I will fund the whole thing, considering the Initial cost will be expensive, but cost per unit could be reduced to around the cost of the fibreglass unit... Merli, Your contact who can get the Series 3 Lip... do you think you could arrange a lend for a week or so??? You would be compensated for your effort Guys let me know what you think, otherwise we could always pay $1000+ or fibreglass for around $600+ fitted...

1. Every time I switch the ignition off the engine keeps on running for anywhere between 30sec & 2minutes. "After a few months of driving took it for a service & they fixed it...(nice guys didn't even charge me) they said it was something called a turbo timer & just ripped it out 2. Occassionally after a few drinks, I use to jump into the car & notice the dash & steering wheel are gone & moved over to the (as we know it) passenger side. I now realised that I was in the 56 thunderbird left hand drive 3. Dunno bout you guys, but does your fuel cap swap sides. Sometimes I go to fill up & could have sworn black & blue the cap was on my drivers side :confused:

Merli, I agree about the fibreglass lips, but where are you getting these ones from? Do you reckon we'd get a better deal ordering 2-3?

Put me down for the series 3 front lip... "Wondering how hard it would be to organise a fibreglass mould of one of these? any idea's"

Car was there today, apparntley made 270rwkw @15~16psi. Havent seen the dyno but going on what Nigel from ICE said.

I think AUS rules state that if you have owned the car for a minimum period of 12months, then you bring your car over as a Personal Import, and not have to get it complianced.
