  1. ahhh nobody has mentioned that to me ever but it makes perfect sense. That could definatley be the culprit. Oh well i'm not really to fussed about it for now as long as it won't damage anything. I'll wait for a rebuild or new motor me thinks before i do anything about it. How hard is it to take the plenum off to fix this though. Could i do it in a day??? just incase i get bored one weekend. car is off the road anyway for an undetermined amount of time anyway for other reasons.
  2. My car idles at 1600rpm and no obvious boost leaks either. Been like that for a very long time. I don't think i'll get it sorted until i do a rebuild and go over absolutely everything. Car still runs fine and has no other issue.

  4. Hi guys, I'm just seeing if there is anyone out there from the campbelltown area with a 32gtr that i can borrow their standard ecu and afm's to try and diagnose my cars problem. Please PM me if you can help me out. Cheers, Johnny
  5. It's hesitating like missfiring and and stuff then just about stalls. Not actually just loss in power while still driving smooth.
  6. Yeah i have my old set still with me so i can do that. only got these ones from just jap about a month ago so i hope it ain't them.
  7. I started it this morning because i needed to get to the shops and it was running rough but for some reason i could rev it over 2500rpm but it would be missing bad and be rough as guts. I'll try re-solder the afm's and maybe try clean them with some carby cleaner or something on the weekend.
  8. I hope it's not the ecu because i don't really want an aftermarket one yet. Hell i hope it's not the afm's either because i don't wanna get new ones of those. I'll try reset the ECU and hope it doesn't happen again. If it does i might try swap the AFM's i guess. But yeah because it's intermittent it really is annoying. knowing my luck when i go to the mechanics it will be fine and won't stuff up until i'm almost home.
  9. Yeah that could be one possibility. When i disconnected the afms the idle dropped and wanted to stall so i assume that it it's working properly at idle atleast. maybe at higher revs the sensor is stuffing up sometimes. Could it be something as simple as the fuel filter??? Maybe fuel pump??
  10. Hi Guys, On Saturday night my car was driving perfectly. Then all of a sudden when i was taking off from a set of lights at about 2500rpm the engine just cut and died for a second. I back off and it tried accelerating again and at the same point it died. So i just babied it to about 2.5k and then changed to second and tried accelerating normally again. Same thing. Then it went away and all was good. So all up this was about a minute of playing up and then the problem seemed to dissapear. I drove my car home with no problems from my friends house that night as well with no problem. Yesterday i drove from Campbelltown all the way to Wollongong with no problem. I then decided to go further south just for the sake of going for a drive. All of a sudden the car did the same thing. I babied it into second hoping it would go away again and it didn't. Got it to a servo to so i could see if there was anything wrong. I thought it could be a bad batch of fuel but when i called NRMA they said i would have noticed it straight away. I filled up in the middle of the week. I thought then that the plugs could be fouling but they haven't even done 500km's. I also changed the coil packs under 1000km's ago. When it happens there is a miss on idle and the revs go up really roughly up until 2500 where the engine just doesn't want to rev. Also when i got towed home and got the car off the truck it seemed fine again. Does anyone know what this could be or have any suggestions. Also when i mention accelerating off from the lights and accelerating in general, it's normal driving and not trying to launch from the limiter accelerating. thanks guys.

  12. Hey the first time i used spray cans nobody knew until i told them. They look fine. The pic of my car i put up is with spray cans. Even up close it looks good. I've also seen my rims up against some properly painted rims and couldn't tell the difference. The only thing is that they don't hold up against scratches as well so every month or so i did a quick touch up. Not hard to do and for $6 you can't go wrong. I wanted to get them powder coated but don't wanna waste my money when i wanna change colours again in a few months.
  13. Thats something to think about. Might give it a go cause it's cheap to do anyway. Hmmmmm..... Not sure how the 33gtr rims would look in gold. Definatley something to think about though. I'm not a huge fan of graphics on cars. Sometime they do look really good though when they are subtle. The only reason i'm doing this is because it only cost like $3 for a spray can and i can change colour every couple of months. Thanks for all your suggestions guys.

  15. Hi Guys, I have 33gtr rims on my 32gtr and painted them black. i am now bored with black and need help deciding what colour would look good with these rim and with my car colour. I am possibly thinking going white rims but i am not sure how it will look. any other suggestions??? here is a pic of the car now with black rims.
  16. Well it could be your clocks actually broken as well. My wasn't working so i got given another one and it works now. no changing fuses or anything.
  17. the relays are only like $6 or something like that last time i checked.
  18. jaycar and places like that sell them. If the relay is clicking then that means that it is working doesn't it.
  19. Bursens were the only place i could find the BCPR7ES in my area. Maybe try them.
  20. Yeah i rang them up and they told me i had a 33/34 pipe. Is it only the one pipe that is different or all of them??? Just so i don't have to bring the everything back when i don't have to.
  21. Yeah i will call them now but i just wanted to make sure that it should be a perfect fit. Yeah the installation was bad because the pipe did not reach properly.
  22. Hi guys, I bought a just jap hard pipe kit for my GTR and am having some problems getting the first pipe on. It doesn't seem to fit. Has anyone else hard this problem??? When i put the silicon part just over the lip of the pipe at both ends it is also considerably shorter than the standard pipe(about 2-3cm. Is it possible that they gave me a another GTR's pipe instead??? Here are some pics of the installation as close to getting it clamped properly as i could. It works as long as you don't make boost and then it pops of. So i'm just after other peoples experience as this doesn't seem like the right fit.

  24. I bought a second hand twin plate and it lasted me a year before i swapped it. It still has almost the same amount of meat on it as when i got it on a pretty standard gtr. It copped a few 6-7k launches as well.
  25. It's not a standard front pipe. I can't remember if i got it from justjap or if i got it from uas. I really can't remember seeing it when i got it because it was a fair while ago.
