  1. what are the differences? man i really gotta go to a tyre place and ask i dont wanna chew em up quickly but i do want maximum performance out of em in everyway really drag + street + track but ill probably have to decide on one way or another or just get a good set for my stokies
  2. yeah i will but i dont really wanna chew em up so quick ay just on the street anyway. i might get a set of rims with good tyres and keep stockies on for the street then change em once a raceday comes up.

  5. ok yeah that sounds pretty good cause in second they wheelspin usually till i back off a little if i get a good gear change into second and ive got decent tyres on the back only 225 but i dropped pressure down to 28psi just to get more traction what width tyre have you got on the back? and if your going to put 255's on you havent got stock rims have ya? with 255's do you have to roll the guard still?

  7. sounds like another project in the making ay? thing is i just dont have a clue about any of this stuff so i gotta start doing research to work out best options again Man it never ends with this car? if im going to track the car it will definately need breaks and maybe suspension tweaks what should i do for grip for take off? cause thats what i though maybe bigger tyres/better ones? would suspension get me off the line quicker by itself?
  8. with a narrower trye it will slip more? or am i on the wrong train of thought? is there any cheap way of flareing the guards? or do i have to buy gtr guards? if i wanted bigger? the front tyres rub not on the inside guard but on the sort of mud flap part of the car when i turn corners but yeah thats with 225/50 on front if i just went like 40 all round wouldnt that be ok? or is it expensive? i must go to a good place that does suspension tyre breaks ect and ask best way of doing it anyone know someone who is good round dandenong area? and when i mean good i want someone who knows race setups not street crap
  9. ok fellas ive just built my r32 gts-t its got round the 260rwkw mark and i tend to fry tyres easily at take off if i wanna get off the line quickly all my rims and suspension is stock atm now i definately wanna go to like 245 255 or even 265's if possible ive got 225/50 on them now at the back but 225/45 on the front the 225/50 scrape the guards if i put them on the front anyway i wanna set the car up for take off but also for the track im not sure what to do should i get some sort of suspension tweaks first? then see how big i can go with tyres for grip? i wanna be able to launch this thing like it should be launched? any help appreciated cheers
  10. just curious now i rebuilt my rb20 and its good i love it its pumpin out 260rwkw anyway i was told to do an rb30 bottom end with an rb25 head i dint do it cause of the whole EPA thing and without an engineers i wouldnt get the car back on the road if i did get pinned anyway does anyone know what sort of power can be made out of something like that reasonably easy?

  14. im burning the dvd's just in data format then you guys can edit what you all want it turned out that its going to be two disk's i had the camera on highest res quality is sweet and sound is perfect unfortunately i will have to ask for some cash just cause im going to be coping heaps by the sound of it anyway im up for beginers drift day at winton 2.
  15. yeah when is the next one again? i think they said pretty soon i want in again..... i should have some footage copied this week ill send to anyone that wants a copy of our group i dont know how to youtube it? anyway it would be better with spectators and id like to jump in with one of the DA team drivers again they were unbelivable. im not sure what his name was but the guy with the stock r33. plates were DFTWPN. jumped in with him on the last run one word INSANE loved it........ crazy crazy crazy Man that was my highlight of the day i would have paid just to do that all day cheers for the lesson of how it should be done
  16. Loved every second of it today id do it every weekend if i could. i got scorched too.... still worth it ill try get the vid burnt asap maybe do it all next weekend the d1 drivers were awsome i wanna learn to do what they do. maybe a few more days like this ay im in for the next one
  17. yeah i hear ya bit lat now my rears are on the indicators so if i pop one bad luck for me but at least it will make a good photo.... reason i changed is cause the one i had on are fairly good and i didnt wanna wreck em so i put them on the front.. it will help me steer better anyway

So does that mean that driver dynamics are allowing you to take photos? will there be video's too?? i will buy one for sure but im not sure if i will have any money on the day. my stupid boss hasn't paid me yet... any way i can order one and pay next week? I Cant wait For Saturday ive changed my tyres to real crap ones with hardly any tread so they will spin like no tomorrow. I was so happy about it after i changed them that i did a nice Snakey down the street in the dry...... oops! i didnt think they would spin that easy? but now im worried that i might chew them up completely on the day cause they really have low tread what do you guys think?

  20. i put a gtr bar on my gts-t with the gtr lip. it looks good but if you wanna do whatever to the type m bar DEFINATELY go for Plastic one small knock on a fibre glass or carbon fibre and its screwed you will have spent your cash for nothing. it doesnt matter how carefull you drive it you will bump something so go for plastic cause it flex's and wont crack

  22. im in victoria / Narre Warren no trade ive already got a turbo bolted up on mine be quick guys i have a lot of people interested now the turbo will not dissappoint im even thinkin of keeping it for that price now just in case i blow my new one it is an external gate who ever buys it make sure to use a 17psi spring in the waste gate this is the reason i was hitting boost late i only had a 12 psi spring
  23. ok here is more good news for the buyer i got my car back 2 days ago and ive got a few things to look forward too on the dyno the curve looks very similar to my old turbs the mechanic said that he wanted to play with it a bit thats why it took so long to tune.... he found that i was using a 12psi spring in the turbosmart wastegate and that it was starting to open at the 12psi like it should.... well this is what was causing me to boost late.......... he hasnt got one yet but he is getting me a 17psi spring start of next year... he blocked up the wastegate to try it out and it actually made 4.5psi more at 5000 than it did before so at 5000 it had around 13.5psi once the spring is changed it will have 18psi - pretty much full boost and 2000 rpm to spare mate i was so happy to hear that. so i probably didnt need to spend all this money and probably should have kept my other turbo but at least now i know i cant get any more out of it unless its on the bottle or race fuel. and now everyone here knows that a gt3040 and a 3071r are very similar all the way through the curve. now ive been the ginnea pig but its all good
  24. well im borrowing my brothers video camera anyone wanna do the same and we will swap while we are waiting for a turn??? i dont wanna strap it into the car footage is way better from outside on a drift day anyways i got my car all ready now for it just fresh out of my mechanics but im only runnin 16psi @ 220rwkw should be enough
  25. ok got some results today about my car and the new turbo compared to the one here that im selling its probably bad news for me and good news for who ever buys this turbo off me basiacly i wasted money changing from this turbo too my new one which is a garret 3071r a tad smaller my reason for swapping was that i thought i could get same power out of it but come on boost earlier ok ran the car up on the dyno its not completely tuned yet but boost is still coming on almost the same ive probably picked up a few revs but not enough for my liking..... so too all you rb20 lover's this turbo is as good as you can get for somethin making 240 - 260rwkw and 250 - 320rwkw for an rb25 also ran up a dyno for a rb20 with similar setup with a gt 28 rs turbo and it only comes on power about 500 rpm before mine we crossed the graphs and for the difference in power you would have to be stupid not to go for the big turbo so now that i know this im happy with my 20 it had 40rwkw more than the gt28 and came on 500rpms later so in conclusion i should have kept this turbo ahahahah what a waste of cash but good news for the buyer
